My mother, who is very hardworking but financially destitute, has come to suspect that her step sister is working on her dad to claim his money when he passes. My mother’s father is well off from being a savvy investor. The step sister is not his child, and is also well off, has a wealthy husband and received a large inheritance when her mother died.

My mother was her father’s mother’s caretaker for the last ten years of her life. She did that out of kindness and inherited nothing.

Thank you for your help- do we have any ideas for alternatives to break up? I don’t want to cause my grandfather any emotional pain. He’s an old man, he deserves peace. I am thinking more of him turning his focus to my mom, to his own kids. Not visiting the stepsister, who is manipulating him. Could I freeze her or something like that? I want my grandfather and my mother to both have peace, for my mother to have prosperity. For this already-prosperous stepsister to just not get his money.
