This may be dumb question but can All Saints Oil be used to petition every saint? for example, can I use it while peititioning Saint Michael one week and then Saint Jude the next?

All Saints Oil can be used to dress a candle aimed at petitioning any saint. While most saints have their own oils with LM, all saints oil can be used with any of them. It is always wise to have a bottle around if you frequently seek out the saints.

Hey folks -
Just a quick question. I'm praying to St. Dymphna for aid with my grandmother and her husband concerning alzhiemer's and dementia.
But as I just made an LM order and have used my current budget for such things, I can't currently order her oil or vigil candle, I wonder if it would be all right to anoint a candle to her with All Saints Oil or a general all purpose oil, since I have both of those oils on hand?
Thanks in advance.

I apologize if this is a double post, I think I lost the other one.
Anyways, I was just wondering what purpose the Saints Oils serve? I don't understand why I would use one to begin with, do they contain things that are special/sacred to the saints? Clicking on any individual Saint Oil takes me to a page describing the saint, and not the purpose or uses of the oil itself.
If the individual Saints Oils contain ingredients specific to each saint, then what is the purpose of the All Saints Oil? And if the All Saints Oil works for any saint, then what is the purpose of the individual Saints Oils?
Thanks for any help,
Serenity

There are many saints for which Lucky Mojo does not have an oil or other products. One could use All Saints oil when petitioning any of these saints.

So then, maybe I should save the All Saints Oil for saints that don't have their own special oil, and for use with saints I don't necessarily work with very often? If I have a particular saint that I work a lot with though, maybe it would be better to have their specific oil (assuming it is available)?
And what is the purpose of the Saints Oils? I mean, I understand why I would use conditions oils such as Love Me or Revenge to bring about the conditions of love or revenge, but I don't understand why I would/should use saints oils. Are the saints oils like condition oils where the essences of the curios in the oil have a similar quality to the condition you are trying to bring about?
For example I have begun building a relationship with St Martha, so as she is known as The Dominator, would her oil contain things like licorice or calamus to help boost her controlling energies? Or is the oil more like an offering and maybe it contains a rose petal or something else special to her, as a means of encouraging her to help you? (I understand that ingredients and recipes for oils, etc are not given out here, I'm just trying to get a handle on the concept.)
Thank you again,
Serenity

I would like to thank God, Mother Mary, St. Expidite, St. Jude, & Dr. Jose Gregorio Hernandez for their help in healing me. You guys I was in sooo much pain, I could barely walk. I had a huge abscess buried underneath my ceserean scar. The pain was unbearable. I placed the cards of St. Expidite, St. Jude, and Dr. Hernandez on my scar and I place Mother Mary on my table next to the bed. Shortly after that, the abscess burst and I felt 100% better! Thank you Lord for that!

Hello, Serenity,
The oils contain ingredients that the Saints are attracted to.
Here's a very bizarre example but, let me try:
I am a smoker and I love tobacco. If I were a Saint and you dressed a candle (etc) with cigarette tobacco oil, I am going to hang around your candle so that I can be near the aroma of the cigarette. While I am enjoying and taking up the essences, I will be very pleased with you and show favoritism toward you. After all, you're giving me cigarette tobacco!
And the more that you offer it to me, the more I'll be hanging around and showing more favoritism toward you.
As I had said, BIZARRE example but it does make the point!
Hope this helps!!!

Kindly excuse my ignorance everyone! I wonder what is meant by offering gifts to the saints? Do you get a statue of the saint and put the gift in front of it? If so, how long do you leave it there for? And what do you do with it afterwards?
Re: All Saints Oil Questions and Answers

Hello Dofthenile,
That's one way to leave a gift for a saint. Other people donate to charities associated with that saint or spread the word about their goodness and power. How long you leave a gift in front of a statue and what you do with it typically depends on which tradition you follow. If it's flowers or food, I usually leave them there until they start to look un-fresh, then I take them and leave them in nature. But people have their own ways. Read through this thread to learn more.
Take care.

Veneration of All Saints is a Catholic tradition that includes not only all of the popular saints associated with holidays and all of the patron saints associated with places, names, and occupations, but also the so-called "minor" saints favoured by those who feel a tie or link to some aspect of their lives, struggles, martyrdoms, and triumphs.

I want to ask Saint Pantaleon for help but I don't see any items (oil, sachet powder, bath crystal, candle) for the saint. Can I use the all saints oil and candle to ask for his help?
Can the All Saints oil be blended with other oils or should it be used by itself?
I don't know much about him so If he came to my aid, what should I offer him?

LuckyScorpio ,
You can use all saints oil to petition a saint that a specific oil does not exist to dress items.
It can be blended but with what oil and why? I personally only blend condition oils but im sure you can.
You would have to do your research on the Saint and determine his/her day of the week, flower, offering. You can also make an agreement when you petition a saint stating something like: answer my prayer and I will post a publication , make a donation in your name, give you fruit, wine etc.

Hi LuckyScorpio,
Saint Pantaleon is widely venerated in Orthodox Christianity, and you could find many churches dedicated to him throughout Russia and the Balkan region of Europe. He is the patron saint of physicians and lottery winners, among other things.
His feast day is July 27 but if you follow the Coptic Egyptian form of Orthodoxy, you would celebrate him on August 9.
As an offering, he was known as a benefactor of suffering children, so I would make a donation in his name to a charity that aids children, such as UNICEF or something more local to you.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

I've heard that it's particularly effective to donate to local organizations who take care of the abandoned children in Saint Pantaleon's name. I don't know how true is that though.

ChrisMar,
That's especially true both as an offering and as payment with any saint that has a charity named for them.

Hello, tnrmtct -- and welcome to the Lucky Mojo Forum!
I was not raised a Catholic myself, but from what my Catholic friends tell me, the prayers to All Saints and the use of products like All Saints Oil are common when one is either addressing a petition-prayer concerning a condition for whom one does not know the specific Patron Saint(s) or when one is adderssing a petition-prayer to many saints at one time or to one of the so-called "minor" saints whose feast days are not celebrated with large public festivals and who may not have named churches or named spiritual supplies.
In either case, i would assume that a "beginner" in the Catholic religion would find All Saints acceptable as described.
When you ask, "s [this or that technique or product} best," you are probably going to receive multiple opinions. It's like asking, "Which brand of soda is best?" or "which electric automobile is best?" It depends on what goals you have in mind -- flavour, caffeine content, speed, beauty, battery power, expense.... these are such personal choices that telling someone what is "best" is an act of authoritarianism, to my way of thinking.
