Van Van Incense Powders Questions and Answers

I have a packet of it from my most recent order from LM, and I want to use it to help with cleansing a room. I know I read in another thread that Chinese Wash selectively targets evil and negativity. Since Chinese Wash and Van Van are so similar in their ingredients, would Van Van incense powder behave similarly if burnt for cleansing? (Like, clearing away bad stuff but not the good?)

VanVan cleanses and opens the way. I would cleanse your room with the Chinese Wash and then follow it with smoking the room wih Van Van incense.

In the Occult Books and Pamphlets section you will find some books that will discuss making incense such as Wylundt's Book of Incense. I do own this book, however, I haven't looked through it for a while and do not recall if they talk about stick incense or not. Though it is a good book to have.

We burn our Van Van Incense on a rock with a hallow in the middle and walk it through the room/rooms that need it. It is much more convenient than stick incense as we can pinch out just the small amount that we need and make it last a good, long, while.

I'm currently awaiting for some Van Van incense powder, which I can't wait for!, and my understanding from reading the pages here and on the main Lucky Mojo page is that it changes bad luck to good. We certainly could do with some as we're having to deal with much loved relatives and pets who are ill just now, things not going our way in the family etc. My question is, is it worth lighting the incense in all of the rooms of the house or just one room? Thanks

That would create a lot of smoke, depending on how big your house is. I live in an apartment & I walk through each room w/ the brazier to cense my home.

This is up to you. You can light it in all the rooms, light it in just one room, or light it and walk around to all the rooms and then place it somewhere to let it burn out (the last suggestion is how I tend to do things).

Thanks Natstein! I got my incense today. I followed the advice of a rootworker and made the incense into a little volcano on a cast iron dish and light it... Only I did that, and it smells more smokey rather than the beautiful smell of Van Van! Am I doing something wrong?

Hello Nony65,

IT may just be that the incense has a more smokey smell because of it being an incense that is burned. TO use the incense powder you just make a little cone shaped mound and light it. So if that is what you did than you did it right!
