Hello from Seattle

Hi folks,
I've been reading through the forum for a little while and figured now was as good a time as any to join and introduce myself.
About me... I'm originally from So. Cal, and was raised in an openly spiritual family with many belief systems co-mingling. My step-father was an historian specializing in ancient Greek and Roman cultures and he put a lot of emphasis on my studying other culture's religious and spiritual beliefs, so while I lack a familial history in the Hoodoo and rootwork area, I've gained a solid platform of information that (hopefully) does more to help me see clearly than cloud my vision.
At some point I ended up in New Orleans and immediately found it to be the first place I'd ever felt completely at home and happy, so I moved and spent a few years (pre- and post-hurricane Katrina) there. New Orleans is also where I first really started reading about Hoodoo on it's own. And it, like New Orleans, is something that just... sort of feels right for me... if that makes sense.
So now I'm in Seattle for work (still trying to find a way to transfer back to New Orleans
), and still reading and researching Hoodoo and rootwork, and figured I should stop lurking and introduce myself. I should also end this... I tend to ramble on and on.
