Hi,
I'm Kurt. I am studying the HRCC. I have always been fascinated by religion and magic. On a recent trip to New Orleans I started to notice a lot of differences between Haitian Vodou and what I thought was voodoo (actually hoodoo). I became obsessed with trying to read all I can about hoodoo. I'm especially interested in the history and how what role conjure played in peoples lives at different times. I'm glad Cat and everyone at LMCC have spent so much time making things very accessible via the internet.

Welcome to the forum! One of the greatest things Miss Cat teaches as a folklorist is how different people changed the practice of hoodoo, and how hoodoo changed the people who practiced it. It really is a wonderful story.
