Edward's Introduction

Hello all,
My name is Edward Knapp. I read things, I make things, and I write things, sometimes in that order. I'm a graduate of Miss cat's Hoodoo Rootwork course, and this past Spring, I completed an apprenticeship at Lucky Mojo. My interests include North American and Carribbean folk medicine and folk magic, particularly the changes (or lack of changes) in materials and practice that have taken place with time, human migrations, and cultural shifts. I live in a neighborhood that was a major center of the spiritual supply trade during the first half of the 20th century, and I say without exaggeration that working through cat's course, and having conversations with cat and fellow students through the group and in person gave me a new set of eyes and a greatly enriched understanding of the many mundane marvels hiding in plain sight right outside my door.

Hi, Edward. I want to thank you for all the help you are giving to newbies and folks looking to have their questions answered. I recently wrote to you about whether you want to use the "Certified pracitioner" web seal -- you are entitled to do so, whether or not you accept any recompense, as it is given to all graduates. Please do let Lara, nagasiva, or me know if we can add it to your sig as an icon. It would be our pleasure to give you that level of resepct, you know. Thanks.

Hi Edward
You've already answered at least one of my posts and I wanted to say thanks and that I am happy I discovered Hoodoo and Lucky Mojo.
