Christopher's Introduction

My name is Christopher Lung, and I am a recent graduate of HRCC (as of Fall 2008). I came to Lucky Mojo much earlier then that, though while I was marooned at college, with nothing but a computer, a library, a love of reading, and thirst for knowledge to entertain me. I discovered Lucky Mojo, and it filled my eyes with stars, reading about this thing of magic, and powders, fixing candles, and laying tricks. Then, the server went down, and when I returned to the computer again, the history had been deleted. Oh Darn it! Several years later, I found my way back to Lucky Mojo, where for a month, I debated taking the course or not, and if I was ready for that kind of commitment. I decided I was, signed up, and found out the next day that a bunch of friends had also signed up, all without communicating with each other. What a stroke of luck that was!
I am broadly read, about half as experienced (which is something I am working on) and mentally powerful. What I haven't read, I have often reasoned, intuited or imagined on my own, only to discover that something I was doing, or suggested, was what is suggested. My magical experience started as a teenager, when I was introduced to the Runes. From that, I took to everything, and discovered various types of Wicca, witchcraft, ceremonial magick, and folklore, myth and fairy tale. After about 11 years of being the only person I knew who was interested in "that stuff" I started seeking out others, and magical communities, to learn, share, and grow. Conjure for me was an education in plants and herbs, an opportunity to explore a culture that has always interested me (southern, african-american) and a practical way to understand the interaction between spirit, people and culture, and thier world.
I have a great appreciation for miss cat, and everything she has created through Lucky Mojo. It has been a wonderful boon, education, and way to connect with other people and hear thier knowledge, wisdom, and experience.
