I'm new to hoodoo, though not new to herbs and roots. I've always been interested in magical uses of herbs, roots, flowers, oils, etc and have made my own version of mojo bags in the past (going mostly by intuition).
I'm interested in hoodoo because I'd like to learn other ways to use herbs and I'd like to find out more about the tradition.

I consider myself an eclectic pagan and my dieties are scattered all over the place. I also have several friends that follow the Yoruba religion and attend parties, rituals, and such with them. They are interesting (I definitely feel the power), and two of the dieties I work with and follow are Orishas, but that religion is not for me. Hoodoo seems like the next step on my path, as I'd like to enhance the way I work with herbs and roots.
