Hi from Florida

Hi,
I just joined the forum and I'm excited and very grateful for this website. I have been a practicing pagan witch for about 10 years, and I love to work with herbs, candles, incense, oils, astrology, tarot, and runes. I've been taking classes at a new age/magick shop and one of our teachers incorporates a lot of hoodoo into her craft, and she inspired me to learn more. It's so wonderful to learn and connect with my African American heritage on a spiritual level and to integrate these practices into my magickal life. Part of my family were slaves in the back hills of Virginia- I'm definately going to ask them about any conjure practiced by our ancestors!
My goal is to learn as much as I can (I love to research and have a Masters in Library Science) and to build my hoodoo supply cabinet (I think some of the basic ingredients will overlap with my other magick supplies). My father is an African American Baptist deacon, and my mother is an active Chabad Jew of European descent, and I love equally embrace both of their religions, as they have been supportive of mine. Hopefully I will be able to take the Hoodoo course soon- I am prepared to demonstrate my seriousness and dedication to Lucky Mojo!
