Better Late than Never....

OMG...I've been poking around the forum for almost a year now, and never even noticed this section where we can introduce ourselves
. Goodness, sometimes I can act like such a dork
!
I've always been a curious creature, and was introduced to LM products by a store that retails some LM products in Greensboro, NC. I had loads of questions (still do) and the owner put Cat's book Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic in my hand and suggested I explore. Now, she didn't do this because she didn't want to answer my questions...because she has the utmost patience and is one of the most helpful people I know. As I delved into the book I had even more questions...and I still asked & asked & asked
and she answered & answers still.
I'm 41, a mom, a bartender for 22 years & a full time student working on my bachelor's in social work...then onto my master's in either social work or counseling & education. I have no desire to be a social worker per se...when I grow up
I intend on being an addictions counselor working with both the addict and their family. As a former wild child myself, I figure I should stick with what I know...sex, drugs and rock-n-roll. I am madly in love with my boyfriend of almost a year. I can honestly say that after kissing enough frogs I finally have my Prince Charming! He was relocated with work last September so we currently live 650 miles apart....but we see each other every month and are very committed to making "us" work.
When I placed my first order w/LM I discovered the forum; I read, I thought, I learned and thought some more. I've been expanding my comfort zone, become more involved in my conjure, had an incredible reading with Cat and plan on taking the Correspondence Course ASAP. My 15 yr old daughter has even expressed interest in the Hoodoo practice. She comes into my room and asks about my candles and herbs. I don't go into great detail...I am aware of the sometimes "short" attention spans of teenagers
! I figure if & when she is serious about learning Hoodoo conjure...I will pass on more of my knowledge.
I've been a little more active lately with postings on the forum. I think at first I wanted to read, absorb and process knowledge and I am now putting more into action. I guess I have kinda come out of my shell and found my Hoodoo comfort zone
.
That's me...
