My name is Wendy and I live in Oregon. Sometimes I write, sometimes I sew or make art, but mostly I'm just a mom and housewife.
Right now I'm mostly reading everything on the site, so much to learn, but I'll probably pummel everyone with questions sooner or later. I didn't really think I was 'practicing' anything in particular but a friend recently pointed out that a lot of the things I do around the house have hoodoo origins so I was curious, and I looked hoodoo online-- which brought me here.
Both of my grandmothers were from the South, and I had heard terms like crossing and fixing from both of them, but always in somewhat vague terms. Now reading through the site suddenly a lot of blanks are getting filled in, I have pulled out a couple of boxes of curios and I'm sifting through them with new eyes-- I've had all these cool little treasures and didn't even know.
tap-tap-tap.. is this thing on? Oh hi!
