Hello!

I´d like to say hello from Saxony, Germany (when I was a kid it was "East Germany", before the wall fell in ´89). It´s not a typical rootwork-region ;), but we have a lot of magical folk customs, too. I am interested in Hoodoo for a couple of years, reading books and of course the wonderful homepages of Miss Cat and this wonderful forum here.

I was raised Protestant, then went into Wicca, joined a Druid group and so on and it was really not bad, but there was someting missing, it felt not "well roundet" to me. Maybe this was because I grew up most of my childhood in a small village, with people, that knew: "If you want to have this, you have to do that.". It was nothing "big", just simple spells or customs, mostly linked with plant lore or christian holidays like Pentecost. I think that impressed me for my whole life and although I like to read a lot about different ways of magic and spirituality, in practise I always come back to the "simple things" of my childhood, where I feel at home.

When I found out more about Hoodoo, I recognized that it has a lot of things in common with the folk traditions I knew and I was so happy, because although we have many customs here, we have no whole body of acquired knowledge, like Hoodoo is and I love to learn more about it.

Greetings, Starfish

Thank you for the warm welcome! :)

I read a lot in "Hoodoo in Theory and Practise" and have also purchased "Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic", but (so far) never used any of the products. This is going to change now and I am looking forward to work with them.

Before I got to know Lucky Mojo, I was very sceptic about ready-made blends (also due to the fact that in my country almost only synthetic conjure products of some big brands are available). And this was a no-go for me. I have nothing against a little bit of perfume oil in the fragrance lamp, but not for magical things! ;)

Welcome Starfish! And you'll see when you get your first Lucky Mojo order that Miss Cat and Company's products are the 'real deal'. I was amazed when I unpacked my first order and I could feel the energy in the oil bottles, even before using them. I am now an LM addict and proud of it!
