Hello Folks,
I'm "I Bube", a 37 year old Afrikan American man living in the Midwest although I am originally from California. Two years ago, I had my roots traced via DNA testing and leaned that I am of Equatorial Guinean origin. My people are called "Bubi" and they live on a tropical rainforest island off the coast of West Afrika. I was blessed to be able to visit Bioko Island and meet lots of new friends, all of which consider themselves my aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters.
The first thing I wanted to do was see a holy man, or as we call them "Bohiammo". I asked him a ton of questions and was quite happy to be able to incorporate some of my ancestors' practices and beliefs in with my own. My name "I Bube" simply means "I am Human", since "Bube" just means "man or human" in the Bubi language. I was very happy to see that all the Bubi looked like me- slightly Asian-looking eyes and shape of face, short and lean people. In fact, some of the people I met thought I was originally from the island.
I want to take the course offered through LM because although I learned a lot from the Bohiammo, I don't know enough to be able to approximate the ingredients for various spells with things that are available in the US. Thanks so much to everybody that answered my questions. I ordered my very first mojo hand and I am very excited!
