Name Change: Ritual Sound to Joseph Magnuson

Hello again forum:

I have been inspired by the recent name changing that has been occurring on the boards. My old nickname on here: "Ritual Sound" was a fun name that I picked due to the effect of sound and music on ritual practices... I feel I am further served by now going by my actual name: Joseph Magnuson.

I am not on Facebook. I am not on Myspace. I do not Twitter. Perhaps I will be in the future, who knows...but for now I am happy living as much offline as I can be.

I have been interested in furthering my "magickal" (chuckle at spelling) knowledge since my teen years and have been drawn to potions, incense, candles, oils, and spells/rituals even since I bought my first raw frankincense tears at 17. A beautifully tiny store called Tarr & Feather in Greenfield, Massachusetts. It was down the only seedy "alley-like" street in town next to a junk shop (amazing junk shop!) and a pornography shop. I have been hooked ever since.

I have just recently joined the Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course as student #1599 and hope to complete the course and start apprenticeship and rootwork proper in early 2011. I hope to one day open a general occult shop sometime in my life and to continue to get better at making oils, tinctures, incense, amulets, etc. The topic of setting lights for others is extremely close to my heart and I hope to be able to offer my help to those who need it through candle service.

I have learned a great deal from this forum. I am forever indebted to cat, as well as all the Lucky Mojo shop workers and forum moderators that have imparted their wisdom and direction through in person conversation or on-line help. I feel confident that I am currently on the right path for a life of happiness.

I have been working with and have a clear, true love for Ganesha & Jesus the Christ. I feel extremely connected to John the Conqueror root, as well as other root/earthy herbs and roots. My rooted/earth-locked Taurus instincts kick in big time!

Enough about me...just wanted to give the heads-up that good ol' Ritual Sound is now Joseph Magnuson, one and the same... I will even leave my 4-leaf clover icon the same for a while -- perhaps making the transition easier for anyone that recognizes it!

Good luck in all you do...

-Joseph

Thanks, Joseph for re-introducing yourself. I have enjoyed meeting you in person at the Lucky Mojo shop, and i am very happy to be your teacher, as well as the teacher of your wife. The two of you are a nice couple, and i have a feeling that if you keep working at your dreams, they will come true. I only hope that when you open that occult shop some day, you will keep your old teacher in mind and carry Lucky Mojo products too.

Thanks, cat! It would be an honor to sell Lucky Mojo products....as well as contribute in any and all ways I can to further the Lucky Mojo "name."

Ready to right the wrongs,
-Joseph M.

Hi Joseph,
Nice to "meet" you here!

I have seen your posts around the forum and you do give some really good advice and always have something encouraging to say. I don't post much - but I'm working on changing that. I do read this forum A LOT.

I have the same aspiration as you - I'd love to open an occult shop myself. I hope to enroll in the HRCC very soon! I've been wanting to take it for years. Good luck in your studies!!

Blessings,
Stacy
