Hello, I'm from the UK and I've lurked on this board for too long, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I have a background in witchcraft since my teens, and I've been experimenting with magic well into my twenties. I like the hoodoo approach because of it's physical, down to earth nature, and the way that it lends itself to a creative approach towards magic.

If I lived in the US, I would have loved to have taken up Cat's hoodoo correspondence course. Unfortunately, it appears that you need to have access to an African-American to study it, and we don't get too many of them where I live. So I make do with taking inspiration from Cat's book Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic, and supplementing it with what I learned from my witchcraft days. I look forward to posting here.

hi there,

In regards to access to an African_American, you need to speak with Cat as there are ways you can get around this. There are many Black forum members on the board that would be willing to help you with that aspect of the homework, but you can ask Cat as for other ways. Do not let this deter you from taking the course, and mention this when she speaks with you for an interview.

Thanks. That's interesting, I might have to reconsider the course in that case.
