My intro

Unread post by magus » Fri Jan 21, 2011 8:34 am

Hi. My name is Trent. My nickname is Magus (pronounced "may-juhs"). I just started the Rootwork course. I bought the book in late November 2010 and since I read in the intro that the lessons were designed to run from Jan 1st to Dec 31st, I waited and started the lessons on Monday, Jan 3rd of 2011. That way, I can do the lessons from Monday to Sunday each week.

I am completely new to Hoodoo but not to magick. Yeah, I am one of those people who spells it with a K. I started with Wicca but didn't much care for the religious aspects of Wicca. I later found ceremonial magick and I am working my way through the grades of the Outer Order of the Golden Dawn. I have been reading tarot for almost two decades. I now read geomancy as well, since that is required material in the Zelator grade of the GD.

I have done the following things so far. I used a floor wash, I have cleansed my home several times with a mixture of Chinese Wash, Peace Water and a few other oils. I hoodoo'd my car to help me sell it, by washing the whole thing with Chinese wash, inside and out, mixed with money drawing oil and fast luck oil. I burned money drawing incense inside it and I offered a candle to St. Expedite to help me sell it. I did not get the price I asked for originally, but I did sell it, for $200 less than I asked, despite the fact that it was not in running condition when I sold it; it had to be towed away. In hindsight, I should have asked for more to begin with, because I didn't account for people being used to haggling on used cars. I'd still call it a success, as I sold a car that didn't run ;-)

I have also done several ritual baths and performed a mirror box reversal spell for a friend who had been cursed/jinxed. It worked exceedingly well. It was followed with an uncrossing and other protective measures.

I can't think of anything else to write at the moment. But that's a brief intro about me. So, hello everyone.

Trent
