I'm really excited to be a new member or this forum. I live in Long Beach, CA and have studied and read in quite a few traditions. I was introduced to Hoodoo by Rev. Hyperion my shaman teacher in the Unnamed Path; the tradition of which I am an initiate.
I grew-up in the late 50s, 60s and 70s in a poor family in the piney swamps of deep East Texas just 10 miles east of the Louisiana/Texas line (aka the Sabine River). My granny was known to do certain things that I now recoginze as hoodoo magick. Hoodoo all sounds and feels very familiar to me. I'ave learned several magical techniques from Hyperion, and have looked back to my granny for inspiration as well.
I look forward to learning lots more in this forum and I also hope to attend the workshops in May as well.
Blessings,
Rex
