A Formal Howdy

Unread post by Rev Deborah Joy » Wed Jan 18, 2012 11:48 pm

Howdy and Merry Meet Everyone:

I just wanted to introduce myself and say "Howdy" to everyone on this board. Some of you have seen me in the "chat room" VIP Pet Care (yes, that's me the Dog Guru  ) but in addition to being a Veterinary Nurse by profession, I have always been drawn to the delightful word of magick (in its many forms and traditions) and I'm so honored (and so pleased) that I have been accepted into Miss Cat's Hoodoo Course. This exciting development comes exactly at a time when I'm dealing with so many heavy personal issues (but I'm originally from NYC so we are tough no matter how much we complain :o ) and therefore, I'm really looking forward to being part of this lovely and helpful group of those who have already graduated, and those who are also taking the course.

I have been on a spiritual path as far back as I can remember. I used to read those Dell 25cent Horoscope Books you picked up at the supermarket, (gee am I dating myself?) when I was about 9 years old and I used to walk around asking everyone their birthdays so I could tell them their sun signs and give them a glimpse into their personalities. They humored me because I was child (and probably thought I was strange, too) but who cares! Moral of the Story: Be Yourself, no matter what your age is! :P

Looking forward to interacting and getting to know everyone, and I wish you all Many Blessings.

Welcome! I'll date myself too. When I was young, I bought a Dell (?) pocket book called "Everyday Witchcraft." It was the first book (booklet, actually) I remember owning with step-by-step instructions for simple spells.

Thank you so much to Joseph and Mama Micki for their lovely Hellos!

Dell Witchcraft Spells at the supermarket checkout counter? How did I ever miss that? Probably a collector's item by now!

Anyway, I appreciate your "Howdys" and I look forward to meeting others on this board and becoming a part of all kinds of great discussions!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Bright Blessings, :D

Welcome to the forum and you will enjoy the course. One of the many services Lucky Mojo offers is this forum, where you can ask questions about how to use Lucky Mojo's spiritual supplies.

Here are a few others...

Lucky Mojo's online catalog that includes various hoodoo oils, incense, bath crystals, sachet powders, spell kits, and candles. (http://www.luckymojo.com/catalogue.html)
cat's online book of conjure craft: How to make mojo bags, lay tricks, burn candles and incense, use baths, washes, oils, powders, herbs, and roots, draw luck, love and money, and take off crossed conditions. (http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodoo.html)
cat's book Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic that list excerpts from the book. (http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodooherbmagic.html)
Please schedule an hour to listen to the The Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour. (http://www.luckymojo.com/radioshow.html
Last but not least, peruse the Crystal Silence League (http://www.crystalsilenceleague.org/) to post or request a prayer.

#1 Rule "Keep your posts relevant. Posts which are not relevant to the particular subforum of the thread on which they are posted lowers the value of the conversation and may be removed.

Merry Meet and Howdy Jwmcclin:

Thank you so much for the great links, but I'm pleased to say that I'm been familiar with Lucky Mojo for quite some time already. Believe it or not, over 10 years! I have always thought Lucky Mojo to have most amazing collection of spells, essays, compilation of old stories, helpful advice, and the list goes on and on. With the introduction of the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour (my fav radio show on BTR) and the Crystal Silence League, I feel that it's the most comprehensive Website with regard to old Southern Conjure (and more) that you can find anywhere. With the advancement of technology, we can now all stay in touch via the Web. It's fantastic!

Enjoy your weekend everyone no matter where you are!

Bright Blessings,
