Hello from down South

Good Morning,
My name is Adam, and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I was born in rural Arkansas, and have spent most of my life near Memphis, TN, yet somehow I completely missed the existence of hoodoo. I was introduced to magical study through friends in the European neo-pagan tradition, but my first real interest was in Santeria and Palo Mayombe. I moved strongly in that direction for a time, before realizing that it was a bad fit. I was excited when I found Miss Cat's book, Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic, shortly after its publication. I finally realized that my primary interest, the rootwork and such, had a place of its own, and I was living right in the middle of it. I have been learning and practicing, and hope to begin the class soon. I look forward to getting to know more of you who are part of this fine tradition.
Best,
