Hello,
I'm Dawn Corobane. I'm a practicing witch and a student of herbalism and I'm looking into the Correspondence Course through Lucky Mojo. I will be starting to gather the products needed slowly as most of my money right now is going into moving from Tennessee to Alaska - yes its a big move. Once I'm settled I'll be able to work on gathering the materials and applying for the course with more focus.
I've had an interest in hoodoo for almost as long as I've had an interest in witchcraft. I think it started when a few people in my neighborhood that knew me started calling me Nina Bruja when I was in high school and to learn what that meant I looked at Brujeria then Santeria then Voodoo then Hoodoo...long process, heh.
I know a few hoodoo practitioners but they are most of them very secretive about their work and the only one to offer to teach me insisted I also join her coven in order to learn. I'm not comfortable in groups like covens and prefer solitary work so that did not play out in the cards, so to say.
My witchcraft right now relies heavily on energy work, herbalism, essential oils and the calling of certain energies/deities. I also do divinatory readings with tarot and crystal scrying.
My religious affiliation is to an eclectic mix of Kabbalah and Buddhism.
