Kia Ora from Aotearoa

Hi !

After 15 years of dabbling in the Lucky Mojo site I've found this lovely, alive , forum.

I guess I'm your everyday hedge witch. Alway have been. When I was a kid I pretended my swing was a broomstick.
My Dad's a taorot card reading Sufi and my Mum's a Zen artist.
I'm currently living with my Mum in Wellington, New Zealand, as she made like Wodin and underwent surgery to remove an eye. But am something of a feral -gypsy and travel constantly. Next week I'm back up to Auckland to see friends and work.

I'm currently working on a new busking act as a clown(been a kids entertainer, dressed as a fairy for years, which is how I learnt about sacred clown). Producing a porn. And hopefully my boyfriend is telling the truth about having some work lined up in his Dutch-Gradparents-Greenhouses growning carnations or triming hedges or painting his boat. Becuase as lovely as it is living on a benifit, I'd love a second pair of shoes!
After snorting some lines of ritolin last Christmas I discovered I'm totally ADD .

Magicly I've found my strongest workings are from drawing pictures or writting lists. I realy love kaos magic, I'm initiated with a thlema-egyiptian masonic boys club. I'm interested in using juggling and dance to tune in/ build / manipulate energy. I'm very interested in sex- the level it's being used at in average society, it's potential. I worked breifly as a prostitute a couple of weeks ago which has emphisised the role phycology plays in physical arousal for exsample.

About five years ago I discovered Oya is my head orisha- I suspect Chango is my heart. It's rather odd being the only person I know in my country who follows the path of Ifa! It's sort of a work in progress, learning who the orishas are- I suspect there are only really 8. Or 9 :)
And trying to syncronise them with the Greek, Norse and Hindu dieties. If you have any leads much appreciated.

I look forward to talking with you all more in the near future.

Kind wishes,

Hazel

Welcome Hazel!

Although most of us here will be able to help you with Hoodoo practice rather than Lukumi, do consider contacting some of the initiated AIRR members for guidance such as Dr. E or Lou Florez. You can look through AIRR members and the pages they offer on various world Deities here:

I would encourage you to have a look at Dr. E.'s website for the Santeria Church of the Orishas: http://santeriachurch.org . Besides being a member of the Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers, Dr. E. is also an initiated priest in La Regla Lucumi, and dedicated to teaching about the religion.

Thanks for the links! The santaria church was interesting especialy for it's list of major Orishas...

http://www.tribeofthesun.com/deities.htm

Tribe of the sun has some of the best descriptions I've found of deities children- I look at learning the archytypes a bit like the flower of life patern;with clues and gaps pointing to the next bit of the puzzle.

Hi Brooke, anything fun happing in your peice of NZ?
