Hi all,
blessings,
so nice to be here...i have been meaning to post something for quite a while now, time just passes quickly these days, anyway..........

hi,

i ama 40 something... american ex pat now living in stockholm, sweden. i am a mom to three kids, working teaching yoga, with ayurveda & doing very part time rootwork. these thigns are part time with regards to a profession but all three are full time with regards to lifestyle...i am always happy to share knolwdge about yoga/ayurveda and anything else im versed in so just ask:)

I have been an eclectic witch, if you will since my first steps on the path, hoodoo being one of my earliest influences. this is so for 2 reasons,
1. i spent summers growing up in virginia & my uncles neighbors mum was a folk magick practioner so naturally as a child i was quite curious..... and, well it was popular in los angeles in the late 80's, early 90's in the witch shops where i was shopping at the time......so

of all the things to come and go in my craft...... folk magick & specifically hoodoo have stayed.

most of the time.. well alot of the time, my spiritual practice and my magickal practices are seperate......and this is very true in my rootwork i do pubically.......but not always. ( being born and raised a catholic, the new orleans style hoodoo/voodoo works well blending practical and religious magick in this case both for personal and public offerings.)

otherwise magickally speaking im influenced ( ill just list spiritually AND practically to save time) by celtic witchcraft, italian and greek folk magick & many hindu rituals since i have a beloved satguru (mata amritanandamayi devi ) and follow and practice yoga, i also consider myself a daughter of the dark mother, Kali is my istah deva( personally chosen favorite diety ) but one could say i am devotee/daughter to the dark mother in all her forms.

what else?
i am forever learning and it seems the more i learn, the less i know!

haha!

the red thread runs in my veins, and magick comes quite naturally for me.........im here to connect, share and grow magickally & spiritually with those i meet in the forum.

ooh yes and i am quite a vata person when it comes to online things, i have a difficult time with electronic communication, it literally makes me dizzy and i have a shorter attention span when i am typing and looking at a monitor, so my posts will be either quite long and few inbetween of quite short and many of them, lol

in ayurvedic terms i am a very "vata" person, especially in winter, and living now in sweden, thats 6 months of the year for me1 i moved from san francisco but before that i lived in los angeles for more than half my life,

i do miss the warm sun and the warmth of the people in california. well home is where the om is and the om is everywhere,

blessings
noel

Lucky you, living in Sweden you get to meet and hang out with Doctor Johannes, the Swedish Root Doctor! He happens to be here visiting us in Forestville, right now as i write -- but we hadnot seen him in 4 years, as Sweden is a long, long way from Lucky Mojo....
