StageSage here, freshly re-registered. This is my first time saying hello, though I've been a long-time fan of this site and the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour. Such delicious and useful information, a veritable smorgasbord for the mind and soul. I thank you all for every ounce of information and wisdom that you've shared / are sharing / will share in the future.

I'm an actor / director / writer / theatre instructor of many esoteric and occult interests, with particular emphasis on (in no particular order) kitchen witchery; actor-as-shaman; folklore and folk magic; theatrical conjure and transformational catharsis (something I seek as a director, not sure if anyone else out there approaches theatre this way); lucid dreaming and (hopefully) tapping into Lucid U for direct convo with ancient sages and visionaries past; the literal healing power of laughter; spiritual pathways lit by ancestor lanterns; wands, brooms and other tools; seed bombs and eco-magick; enchanting Jack-O-Lanterns for protection, prosperity and fertility; the magickal power of Christmas Trees and Santa Claus (including all regional variants) as bringers of jollity and banishers of darkness and depression; magickal gardens and forests of power; chess: history, mystery, mystical associations thereof; backpacking as spiritual pilgrimage, with particular attention to the teachings and philosophy of John Muir. Some of the preceding notions are more concrete at the moment, others are fairly nebulous as of this writing. But it's a good sample platter of what I like, what I seek and what interests me.

At heart, I believe that Creativity is the path that brings us closest to the Creator. So is is that the teachings of all sages, both historical and fictional, are of deep and abiding interest to me. The intersection of the fictional Merlin and the historical Merlin, for example, is a crossroads I have a deep and abiding need to explore.

Many Thanks to All, and Brightest Blessings.

May you find what you seek StageSage! If you haven't looked at it already, the HITAP page on the crossroads itself might well be quite interesting to you: http://www.luckymojo.com/crossroads.html

Always great to meet another thespian! Nice to meet you! In regards to your interest in folklore, have you ever read the Foxfire series of books! Some of them deal directly with southern conjure and spirit work! Fantastic research and information.
