Hello to everyone!

Hi everyone.
I'm Mimi. I'm located in North Carolina, (lovely, lovely country!). I have to admit, I am a horrible lurker on forums. So, most likely, I'll repeat that behavior here. Apologies in advance.
I am nearly 42, married to my childhood sweetheart, Donald, whom I only ever refer to as Pooh ( he hates this, by the way.) We are happily childless, unhappily petless and we both work as truck drivers in our day jobs. I'm laid up with a torn Achilles tendon at the moment. Which on the surface is unfortunate, but when I really think about it, is giving me a much needed break.
In the past two years I've started a new career, been caretaker of my FIL, completed my ordination, lost my parents and maintained an healthy marriage. It's been exhausting.
I have been a witch for eleven years, and Wiccan for five. I've been researching Italian folk magic for a few years now and a friend suggested I look into hoodoo, as there are some similarities between the two. I was pleasantly surprised to discover how many. I also absolutely love that hoodoo is uniquely American, in the way it absorbed bits from the cultures that people came across. Hoodoo has also helped rekindle my love for the Christian Pantheon. Sometimes Wicca and other such paths reject anything Christian. I did for quite sometime as well, but I think when one does this one misses out.
I'm active clergy with NCPCOW / Church of Wicca. our High Priest says he's been noodling around with the group's web site so my profile is actually on there now. I'm the Rev. Melanie Gilbreath.
Well, I hope that's sufficient for an introduction. I look forward to lurking in on many interesting threads here.
Blessed be
Mimi
