Hello, sunnysun ,

I think you're doing the right things. Except I wouldn't use Van Van on the CV's. I would use something like:

Steady work: www.luckymojo.com/steadywork.html
Look Me Over: com/lookmeover.html
OR the Crown of success that ou already have

I also think that the steady work page that I gave you will give you more ideas as three's a lot of information on that page.

Wishing you Great success

Hello, Moonlightdream,

There have been thousands of success stories on this candle spell

And just light the bottom of the candle and let the wax melt a little bit and then put it on the tray. It will stick when it hardens.

Take care

I have burned 3 consecutive free standing white candles to la negra francisca duarte for peace and clarity. The first two candles burned hollow; leaving only the outer shell of the wax. The first two burned rather rapidly and relatively clean with little black smoke. However, the third candle burned strong and bright. It also melted all the way down. When it burned there was a significant amount of black residue in the wax creating a marbled effect. This candle was burned for la negra francisca duarte and I also burned it while burning a clarity candle for St. Claire of Assisi. (With a clear glass of water and a photo of my intended under the glass).

*My question would then be since the first two were burned fast and hollowed out, how could the third candle be interpreted?! My intent for burning the candle is to bring peace, clarity, and return love back into my relationship. I feel the third candle had much to say... But I'm not sure how I feel about it since it melted completely down with black... I did read on lucky mojo the pages about candle divination. I have had a reading from Balthazar (which he instructed to burn a clarity candle for St. Claire of Assisi)... I will consult him again.
I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the difference in the first two and the third candle. Thank you!

Hey i am doing candle work to bring an ex back. I read somewhere that you are suppose to stroke to the top of the wick to bring in what you want. Am i correct? Because if i am not, then i feel like i am screwed. I just lit two red candles and dressed them that way along with my two other candles to two Saints in regards to getting my ex back.

I dressed the two red votive candles by rubbing the oil up the sides. And then i stopped there and then went and rubbed around the top without rubbing up and then i tried to rub it up to the wick a few times. Is it bad i dressed it this way and didnt rub straight up from the bottom until i got to the wick and then just rub around the top of the candle a lot without going up to the wick (i eventually did a couple times at the end), if that makes sense?

I am burning 3 tea lights in a triangle tonight ... and I did not even know about this thread until after the fact. It just seemed the thing to do.

Here is the background: Several years of unusual misfortune resulting in deterioration on all fronts. I discovered this forum and had great results with various things bought / learned from Lucky Mojo, but in every instance, the good was short lived and before any REAL progress could be made, we were slammed again with bad luck dragging us further down than we were before. My family members have stopped posting about their lives on social media in hopes to make whoever/whatever forget about us - and make it harder to know what is happening ( good or bad ) in our lives. I have been praying for wisdom and I felt the need to burn a vigil candle to St. Jude ( I've never worked with him before ) and beg for help breaking free from whatever is holding us down. I bought a green one and dressed it with Lucky Mojo Money House Blessing Oil, Run Devil Run Oil, Van Van Oil, Money Stay With Me Oil and some agrimony and salt, and althea with a tiny bit of frankincense. I prayed the Vigil Prayer to St. Jude along with my own heart felt prayer, then recited Psalm 23 and read Psalms 9 & 10.

The candle burned clear and bright for 2 & 1/2 days and we were all experiencing good luck, in various small ways ( something we haven't had in so long ). The next couple of days - I had very disturbing dreams and noticed grayish soot beginning to form around the top of the glass, plus the flame began to dance wildly ( there was NO draft in the room ). The burn finished this evening and there was soot at the top of the glass fading to clear at the bottom. From what I have read, this would suggest negativity and witchcraft is indeed being used against us, but because it was clear at the bottom, the problem would be overcome. Also, since the soot is gray and not black, the enemy is not that strong. But I felt strongly that I needed to burn more candles to reinforce the work and draw good things toward us. Which brings me to the 3 candles burning now in a triangle.

I used a white one for Blessings, Healing, & Protection. I used a red one for Health, Vitality, and Love. I used a green one for Money Drawing and Good Luck. I dressed each one with appropriate Lucky Mojo Oils and prayed. As stated, I did not know the triangle shape was a "thing" - it just felt right since all areas of our lives have been affected. I lit the candles in a clockwise way. The candles are all burning well with blue at the bottom of each flame, but ... the green candle for Money Matters is different from the other 2. The flame is not as high and has more blue at the base.

Am I on the right track here? I feel like I am, but would greatly appreciate any advice or notions that pop into anyone's mind regarding my situation. I feel like we may really break free this time ... I don't want it to all crumble again.

Thanks Ms Melanie! Your kind words mean a lot.

Just to update: the red candle finished 1st, then the white. The green candle burned the longest with that low flame, but most of the wax was gone. Money has been the sore spot, so I guess that makes sense.

Priya,

Cleansing candles isn't intended to disinfect them. It's a symbolic ritual and hydrogen peroxide isn't necessary. If you don't have something traditional like Florida Water on hand, just pray over some water with sea salt in it and cleanse your candle with that. Salt= metaphysical cleansing staple.

Edited: I think I see....are you trying to actually remove the oil from the candle because of the direction you originally rubbed it on? I still think I would avoid rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. I would just wipe it off, use a little sea salt water to clear whatever confusion it might have caused, and carry on with redressing.

I read a site about cleansing candles and it said to use rubbing alcohol on them and to rub up the candle with it using a cotton ball, and it said that will get rid of any negative energies.

How much salt do i need? A couple pinches? And what prayer do i say?

Also thank you very much!

I have read that: alcohol, whiskey, rum, Florida Water....Hydrogen peroxide is in no way traditional (that I know of). But I shy away from all combustible dressings like alcohol (maybe I'm just a nervous ninny). You only need a pinch of salt in a small amount of water.

I tend to just pray my intent, in most situations.

Okay thank you.

What do i pray over the water? What psalms?

And do i rub up the candle or down?

I think psalm 23 is a beautiful, sort of all purpose psalm, and it's what I usually use if I use one for cleansings or blessings. However, most of the time I simply pray my intent. Something to the effect of "This sea water banishes all negative energies from these candles/this space/what have you...." You get the idea.

As for up or down, I don't cleanse my candles before using them, I have read rub upward, but I would think you would rub downward to rid a thing of negativity. So, I personally would cleanse downward, but hopefully if I am wrong, someone will come along and correct me.

When I'm using helper lights, depending on the situation, they may be anointed, carved with a petition, loaded or rolled in herbs, or any combination thereof. It really depends what the job is and how Spirit leads - it's different every time.

I'm also particularly fond of working with freestanding tapers that have been custom fixed by rolling them in melted wax that has added herbs and oils specific to the condition. The candle is prepared while praying, sometimes the ashes of a burnt petition or verse of scripture is added to the melted wax as well. It yields really beautiful lights that provide lots of divinatory information as they burn. These tapers can either act as the main candle or as helper lights.

i realize this is late but Ive been away a long while and just got back lol there were a lot of great and smart replies to my question. so i ended up doing a cast off evil spell where i wrote very specific list of things i was denouncing from my life in grocery list form, i also made sure to say. very angrily and assertively to cast everything out BY FIRE i used jumbo 9''candle as the main candle and a white vigil as the backup to augment the work. after the jumbo was gone i lit the backup from the flame of the original and called arch angel raphael [medicine of god] and healer of the sick refuge of sinners to work with the back up and all of my ancestors as well. :) the results.. jubilance liberation and deliverance. :D
thankyou st.dymphna

Hello!

I am currently working my honey jar with blue candles. Return, Mercury, Follow, and Love Me oils. (i don't have healing oil at the moment, my reader told me to use my energy and focus) I'm planning on doing 7 days straight with the blue candles. I have 3 more nights to go and for the last 3 days I'm adding in orange Road Opener helper candles. I first thought the triangle shape around the honey jar, but wasn't sure if it would be upward to bring in healed love and clear roads or if it would be downwards to take away the road blocks and pain.

Theeen I saw that people are doing 4 candles around their work. A "square" would it be? I thought that was interesting and might be appropriate...

So not sure now... Make triangle around honey jar using 3 candles or make square using 4. Or just use one orange next to the honey jar. Any suggestions for these helpers of mine? Thanks!!

Hello sunnysun,

You can always light little helper lights if yo like. I would carve the names of the people you are trying to keep protected on them and dress tehm with protection oil. If you don't think the protection oil is enough you can also use Fiery Wall of Protection.

Peace~

In order to do my work in private, I only have certain times during the day - in the mornings before my daughter wakes up or after she goes to school or at night after she is gone to bed, or occasionally on the weekends when she is gone.

With the carving, loading, and dressing candles for rootwork, I take my time and try to focus through the whole thing. But I'm finding that by the time I get to being ready to light the candle I feel I'm rushing because I have to get somewhere or I'm tired because it's getting late. I don't feel I'm able to totally focus on the work at that point. Constantly listening for her or thinking... make sure you pray at least 15 minutes then you can go to sleep. Not the best environment for rootwork.

I always get the supplies out early, but I do the preparation work for the spell right before I am ready to do the work - to light the candle for the first time.

I would like to be able to have more time to focus on my intent during the time I'm praying and not be worried about other factors. I'd like to start preparing everything beforehand - like the night before - so that my altar is all set up with the carved and dressed and loaded candle when I'm ready to start doing my work the next night.

Would breaking up the work like this - into a prep night followed by starting the spellwork the next night - in anyway diminish the effectiveness of my work? I think it would allow me to have more focus on what I was asking to happen from my work and I would be less concerned with the "execution" of the spell and more concerned with the "intent" at that point.

Hello all,

I wanted to post a new question but only saw a 'post a reply' button so my apologies if I've done this wrong.

I'd like to know, when boring holes into glass-encased candles, am I looking to go all the way down or only an inch or so?

Thank you. (I hope you know just how helpful your input on this forum is to us lay people out there).
Much love,

Hello to all,
I would like to know if this candle combination would go if I was to do a triangular formation. Its for a guy that I am currently talking to and I would like for us to move foward. I was thinking of road opener, come to me and fire of love. Or should road opener be by itself first. In that case I would choose come to me, Dixie love and fire of love. Or even come to me, kiss me now and follow me boy.
We had sexual contact 1 time about 2 months ago. I had a reading done already by airr and we are both into each other, there is no one else in his life its just work draining him but that will change soon. So while I am having patience, I've decided to do something to help bring him closer and continue his thoughts and feelings. Just give a little extra umph. Lol.

Any suggestions?

Hi Lala+

I would work Road Opener first, to open the path towards each other (since his work is keeping him from advancing to you). Once you've completed that, then you could move on to the Come to Me + love drawing work.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.

Lala+,

I always like to Cut and Clear from past loves before starting something new, perhaps on both of you. It just freshens everything up for new love conditions. While this may not work with your triangular setup, it could be something to consider in general for this working.

Hi Lala+,

You could perform a Cut & Clear if you feel there are lingering emotional ties to past relationships for both you and your target. But it would not be necessary if those feelings do not exist or obstruct your present relationship.

If you decide to do both spells, I would do Cut & Clear first then follow with Road Opener.

Good luck.

I am looking to purchase 3 candles for my pre teen son so he can excel in school. All of his teachers love him. They say he just needs to focus and try more. And he needs a push for his test. He is not confident. Would I be correct to burn Clarity, King Solomon Wisdom and Crown of Success?

Hi Lala+,

I'm sure an expert will respond, but I will share my experience. I did a 3 candle spell for my son who was taking a high school entrance exam. I was mostly worried about the English portion. I used Crucible of Courage, Crown of Success and King Solomon's Wisdom. He passed and did much better than I expected, even in English.
Wishing the best for your son.

I bought a dressed glass encased candle from Lucky Mojo. Should I trim the wick, or would that already be done before it was shipped to me? How long a wick is a glass encased candle supposed to have?

It's pretty. I'm very excited to light it this week.

Hello all,

So I've received my candles. King Solomon, Crown of Success and Crucible of Courage. What candle should I place at the top? And is it okay for me to place my sons picture in the middle of the 3 candle in a picture frame and write a petition for under each candle? All advice is welcomed.

Thank you

If the candle is directed toward yourself, yes, put your own name or photo. If it is for someone else, put their name under the candle. In this case, all candles are for you.

Speaking of setting candles in a triangle or a trinity, we are reprinting the classic book "Legends of Incense, Herb, and Oil Magic" by Lewis de Claremont, which is the first book to describe the old-time hoodoo practice of burning candles in triangles and of standing people in triangles when you do a hands-on prayer or cleansing.

Publication date: May 14th-15th, 2016

Legends of Incense, Herb, and Oil Magic by Lewis de Claremont, first published in 1936, now, on the 80th anniversary of its publication, restored and re-released to the public as part of the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Library of Occult Classics. 96 pages. $9.00.

I'm doing a St dymphna, St anthony, and St jude candle triangle.we broke up due to my exs sudden mental illness brought on by intense illness. St jude and St Anthony were also recommended by my rootworker as he does an additonal st dymphna and expedite before doing my reconciliation work.

When I burn these, should I do st dymphna in front because that is the main issue at hand with St anthony and St jude in the back to back up her work? I hope this makes sense. It may not seem like a miracle case, but this entire case is so convoluted and crazy. Also, quickly, instead of my name 9x as the petition, it should be his under each candle right?

Thank you Miss Cat,

The candles are for my son. But I was wondering what candle would be placed on top/lit first. Would I do the King of Solomon on top/light this first... the Crucible of Courage on the right/light this second.....and the Crown of Success to the left/ light that one last.

Since all of these candles are for my son would I put the picture/ petition under each candle?

Thank you

Hello, Lala+ ,

It's not necessary.

But I personally would do that if it were a spell I was performing

Wishing you both the very best

There's a couple of things I want to work in that triangle but in separate.

- My continuing friendship with a certain person in a soft, friendly, and loving sense, something I want to do to gain attraction without breaking the rule of forcing it.

- Build up the friendship to the point where I wish to seek for love (going on a date)

- Remove the blockade of where I was blocked for no reason on Instagram

- Job searching with a successful interview and hopefully the job

- If necessary, body modification and fertility

I want to work these things out after I get my upcoming reading this Saturday. Haven't done a full hour one yet.

Now I have only Rosemary and Hyssop. Rosemary is gonna be used mostly for the waxing moon phase while Hyssop is for waning for cleansing.

I need to know what kind of color candles, herbs, and oils I can use for what I want to seek.

Help is greatly needed.

For "continuing friendship with a certain person" Pink. Use cloves and rose petals

To "remove the blockade on Instagram" Road Opener or Block Buster candles, Block Buster herb mix.

For "job searching with a successful interview" Steady Work candles, gravel root, salt.

For "body modification" Too vague -- if for beauty, use Look me Over and Attraction products, and Catnip

For "fertility" -- See a doctor first and foremost. Then, Archangel Gabriel products.

Good luck.

Catherine, with due respect,

1) Should the candles be in a triangle format or just single candles?

2) For the friendship part, can they be white, pink, and purple or just a straight color?

3) Body modification, yes it was vague but I was thinking weight loss, stomach shrinking, or maybe involving sex, I dunno. I just want to make sure.

LuxVeritasDeusCC --

1) You are posting in the thread titled "Setting Candles in a Triangle, Burning Candles in a Trinity" so i would assume you know what you want to do in this regard. To discuss setting single candles, please find the candle titles by name and post in their respective threads. If you are still not sure why you might wish to be in this thread about triplicities, please read the thread from page one onward.

In brief: There are THREE ways of setting lights described in this thread, and this also involves not just vigil lights, but also free-standing candles. The three ways are

(A) three candles in a triangular shape, with or without a central non-candle object,

(B) one central candle surrounded by three helper lights arrayed in a triangular shape,

(C) one candle on a triangle of parchment, paper, or cloth.

Each of these ways is colloquially called "burning candles in a triangle" or "burning candles in a trinity" or "burning a trinity of candles."

2) Pink is good for friendship.

3) I think you need to make a definite decision about what form of body modification you are contemplating before deciding if setting lights in a triangle or a trinity is best for your spell plans in that regard.

It's been awhile since I've done any sort of candle work for myself. I was actively using a honey jar for quite some time and had wonderful results with it. I have since put it to the side to let things continue to unfold naturally. But I'm rambling here. I normally have candles lit for me by LM on the altar. But I recently was in the grocery store of all places and spotted vigil candles. I instantly picked up a red glass encased vigil candle and decided to give it a try. I've been having some difficulties lately with my guy, mainly communication, the whole "are we together or what" issue, and just the connecting in a passionate way. And by this I mean I feel like lately the love has been neglected due to the factors of life, stress, family, money, etc. So I was immediately drawn to the red candle and thought it might help with bringing some of these things back together for us. I used a needle to write his name on the top of the candle and I dressed the candle in the oils I had when I used my honey jar. Love me oil, stay with me oil, reconciliation oil. I used the reconciliation oil because I feel like lately we've been struggling and we've had some ups and downs so I thought it might help to bring us back together closer. I didn't really have any herbs for the top of the candle though. I hope it works. I spent quite some time meditating and praying over while I dressed it, lit it, and even after it was lit. I would like to know if I should dress the candle before I lite it each time? Unfortunately I cant leave the candle burning while I'm not at home so I will snuff it out. But should I add the oils to it before I relite each time or is the initial dressing of the candle enough? I'm excited to see the results and hope I have done this properly!

Moonbeam38, it's not usual to dress the candle every time you light it. I know it looks like there's "nothing on there" -- but there is, believe me.

If you have a copy of The Master Book of Candle Burning, you will see that the candles in that book are generally dressed with oils only -- and generally only one kind of oil.

In fact, vigil candles are generally lit once and allowed to burn constantly until they are gone. The main exception is if there are privacy issues; then you might snuff it so you can hide it between private sessions.

You seem to be having trouble on many fronts, so I would also work a blue candle with Tranquility, King Solomon Wisdom and Influence, with perhaps a sprinkle of Rosemary to put you in charge; and a green one with whatever prosperity stuff you like, along with more King Solomon Wisdom and Tranquility.

Thanks so much for your response. Yes there are a few issues going on at the moment and I will definitely try those candles you recommended. I would love to leave my candle burning without snuffing it but I do have some privacy issues and can't leave it burning unattended. So far it seems to be burning ok after the first day. There is a bit of wax stuck to the top of the glass while the rest seems to be burning clean. But I think it's perhaps more the way the wick was placed in the wax. But we'll see how the rest of the burn goes. And when I lit it a puff of white smoke came out. Not sure if that's positive or not.
