Hi all,
I was just wondering if it would be okay if i removed the labels off fixed candles from Lucky Mojo while burning them in my house... Just wondering because i am not sure if the candle is also dressed on the outside of the glass. Next time I will buy unlabelled candles
Thanks.

Yes, you can remove the label. You can also order candles that are fixed for the conditions that you specify in your order, but are not labelled!

I used a plain unlabelled yellow glass encased candle. I first prayed the 23rd Psalm over it 7 times. I stated and prayed for my specific needs and requests and it worked.
this sounds kind of strange but after I did that I put it in my bathroom to let it burn there and the same day, before it burned out I hit the lottery. That was my main purpose at that time for using the yellow candle.
I did not get what I may have wanted at that time but I received what I needed to open the door for more.
By the way does anyone knows is there a system or not to burning candles in the bathroom? All I know is that it worked,It worked so far twice for me, Probably would have worked more, but need to get more yellow candles. Just thought that I should share this.

That's interesting. My first thought is that perhaps the energy (feng shui) is "off" for money in that part of your house, and burning your candle there helped to fix it! I've read that it's common for plumbing problems, leaving the toilet seat up, or bad directional energies in a bathroom can cause your money "to go down the toilet." Perhaps a permanent altar in your bathroom is a good idea for you!

Which I hope doesn't stop others from trying it. Candle spells work, so long as you are:
A) Gifted to do spell work
B) Meant to get what you want
C) Doing the spell properly
D) Not crossed up.
I would how ever dress the candle with the proper oils rather then just burning it.

There is, usually one does enemy work their, often letting candles burn on the back of the toilet, go's back to when you'd do it in the out house and tip your enemy's candle right into the pit.

Hi,
I have a plain, glassed encased candle at home I would like to use for prayers for my marriage. I have Psalms 45,46,139 and 23. I have a picture of us to tape on it. But I've been told to at least put sugar and cinnamon in it when burning. Is that every time and I just sprinkle some in before burning? How long should I burn it for? Generally it takes me 15-20mins to say my prayers than a extra personal one in the end. I've also read about spells being done Mon, Wed and Fri...I don't understand that but is that for prayers too? Also, not "blowing" out a candle? But I think that's for spells.
Any help is appreciated and hopefully I'm not too vague.
Thank you!

Glass vigil candles are intended to be burned continuously if at all possible. You'd be better off poking some holes in the wax and dressing the candle with Marriage, Chupparosa, Adam and Eve, or Dixie Love oil, which are made for long-term relationships.

Hello,
I have a question about vigil candles.
If you are using one particular color candle for an ongoing ritual and you run out, is it ok to use another color?
E.g. If I was doing a Love Me ritual with a red vigil candle and red helper lights, and I end up not having anymore red vigils, would it be ok to continue the ritual with pink vigils? Or, should I just wait until I'm able to purchase more red vigils?
Thank you!

Pink will encourage sweet love rather than more passionate love. I'd continue with the pink candles and order more red ones. I'd also alternate burning red with pink, to have balance in the relationship.
Good luck,
Mary Bee

I am planning on burning a plain white glass vigil candle(not fixed) for myself this Wednesday (New moon in Libra, my rising sign). Plan on doing a petition paper, as well as my photo folded in the petition. I just wanted this to be a general blessing.
1) I only have LM love oils. Can i 5-spot the petition with some olive oil for blessing?
2) How should I dispose of this once the candle has burned down?
I will leave MISC to do the other work Miss Aida recommended for me, as well as get a reading (i am a newbie). Just wanted to do something for myself Wednesday.
Thank You,
Jema

1) Yes you can use olive oil to dot the petition and to dress the candle for blessing, but you should pray over it before you use it.
2) Here are three ways to learn --
A) See this web page i wrote on disposing of ritual remains

https://luckymojo.com/layingtricks.html
B) See this forum thread on the topic, with questions and answers:

C) Finally, this inexpensive book will help you greatly, now and in the future, with this and many other aspects of candle magic:

So,
I wrote my petition to saint martha on a green novena candle and I also drew her image onto it in sharpie marker.
I'm wondering if anyone else does this and if you do, I have a question;
A lot of my petition went away as the candle burned.
Is this an omen, or is it just normal for the sharpie to fade with the heat?

Jingo,
You can write on the candles. I Sometimes when using 7 day candles write the persons name by the person so if its a reconciliation candle I will write their names by the picture of the applicable person. I would think it is the natural effect of strong heat causing it to fade. though as for work I would prefer my petition not to fade so I would burn it on a paper below it as well.

Hi,
For safety reasons, I need to use a glass-encased vigil for the work. Would it be okay to carve the target's name backwards onto the top of the candle? I plan to put Reversing oil on it. Do I need to anoint it every time I light it? When it burns down to the red, would I carve my name into it? I am thinking of writing my petition on the back of the target's photo and putting it between two mirrors and burning the candle on top of it. I appreciate the help.

emdeluxe ,
You do not need to annoit it each time, but I assume you cant burn the candle straight through so you will relight it daily? Have you considered the reversing candle and using it by carving out the bottom and lighting both sides as its stuck into a nail ( making a t shape) and burning it all at once. Will burn within 2 hours and work as nicely.

Hi j82,
It's looking more and more like it would be best to invest in the non-encased candle. The faster burn would be very helpful. Thanks!

It is certainly possible to do reversal work with a black-over-red vigil light. Even when a candle is burned in sections – lit for a while and then snuffed out daily – you only anoint and dress it the first day you light it. You would not need more oil anymore then you would need more herbs.
Anyway, good luck with the freestanding candle!

If one were to write a petition on the back of a photo, would you still have to fold it? Or just lay it flat under a vigil candle.

Either way is fine Basil. If you have personal concerns or want to add herbs to the petition, then it can be folded to keep them in place. You can also just lay the petition flat beneath.

I have an unlabelled vigil Candle light I wish to work on with blessing oil, healing oil and fiery wall of protection for me and my family. Can I carve the petition on top of the candle or should I write a petition on a paper and place it under the candle? A spoken prayer and petition could be as powerful as a written one right? Thanks

When using one of these long burn vigil, glass encased candles, if I am unable to allow it to burn continuously, can I mark the outside casing into 7 parts, burn to that days line, snuff, and relight the next day? If that is plausible, is there something special I need to do when I relight? I have Cat's book on Hoodoo candle magic and the black folder; may have missed this discussion.
Also, how will this affect my spell, if it does at all?
Many thanks for your time and advise.

Hello, deLanniee ,
That is another way of performing the spell. I personally don't like doing it this way but it is acceptable
It ought to have similar outcomes
However, you will have to restate your prayer and petition each day when you re light it
Wishing you the best
Take care

Thank you , Miss Aida.
So when you are performing a candle spell, do you just have a safe place to leave it lit, night and day, until the vigil is finished?
Many thanks. =)
