What is the Black Tobacco vigil candle equivalent in LM inventory? I read about this in magicakal power of saints - To be used with St Martha's candle.

Have a look. I don't think they do. So order a plain vigl and dress it with tobacco which they sell under the herb section. Also call up the shop and ask if they could fix one for you.

Thanks Hail I'll ask the shop. I know they have it directly in their inventory.

I've worked the same spell with a Controlling candle, you can ask them to add tobacco as HD suggested.

Hello. I see a spell calling for the use of a black tobacco candle. When I looked it up on LM I noticed that it looked like chips as opposed to an actual candle. Since the spell calls for my name to be placed on the black tobacco candle, does anyone know how to use this tobacco candle?

Lucky Mojo sells tobacco. And it sells black candles. Dress the candle with the herb and/or oil, and away you go.

Okay. Thank you I was not sure that that was the way to go to achieve the effects of a black tobacco candle. I want it to work in conjunction with St. Martha.

Hi,
Hope this helps....you can use the black tobacco candle....make your own candle and add black tobacco candle to it...or instead of writing your name on it you can use a clear glass(size your choice but not to large) olive oil add whatever else you desire e.g oils. paper or parchment with your name and the black tobacco candle....finish off with a floating wick...

I have also oiled a black six-inch household candle with Lucky Mojo Tobacco oil and then sprinkled it with Lucky Mojo Black Candle Tobacco or with snuff, dip, or chaw. This is messy but effective.

Hmmm -- lots of opinions in this thread, and it is an old one, so I think some clarity is in order.
The phrase "Black Tobacco Candle" can refer to either of two things:
* A black vigil candle dressed with "Black Candle Tobacco" (see below!)
* A black free-standing candle such as a 4" altar light, a 6" offertory candle, 9" jumbo candle, or a seven-knob candle that has been rolled in "Black Candle Tobacco" (see below!) The rolling may be facilitated with Oil (in this case, Tobacco Oil), or it may be made the old-fashioned hard-core way, by melting some wax on a cookie sheet by placing it in the oven for a few minutes, strewing the wax with "Black Candle Tobacco" (see below!) and rolling the candle up in the wax to make a lumpy surface. This method is described more fully in Miss Cat's classic book, "The Art of Hoodoo Candle Magic."
"Black Candle Tobacco" is very dark tobacco. It is not the light brown Virginia or cigarette style tobacco, although if you are on a budget, you could rip a cigarette open and use it. But this stuff is actually black Tobacco, like a Latakia type, and cut in shreds, for use in a pipe. It is really strong.
