Hello,
I'm excited to have discovered the Lucky Mojo and looking forward to making some friends and sharing in this forum! I recently started listening to the podcast about 2 weeks ago and have been devouring each episode while I work during the day.
I've been a practitioner of witchcraft for 6 years with an interest in occult subject matter since childhood. Originally from the hills of Kentucky, I was raised in a southern Protestant church which was very active in prayer and charismatic in worship and the use of spiritual gifts. In addition, having grandparents that were full of appalachian folk lore and remedies. Looking back, I think I've learned more about magical practice through my grandparents and the church, than I have from studying any grimoire or book of magic.
For the past few months I've developed a growing interest in hoodoo. It sort of feels like "coming home" as the art of conjure seems to fit so well with my practice. I'm really excited to continue learning, participating in this forum, and hopefully make some lasting friendships in the community.
Blessings,
Eric
