Hello Sophia,

I think you might be getting just a bit more literal than is necessary concerning the BlockBuster candle. My understanding is it will blast Everything out the way and leave nothing for you to trip over as it were. However, Van Van could still be a good follow up as it is known for turning bad situations into good situations. So I would recommend that follow up with VAn Van work as the beginning of your financial prosperity work to turn the bad into good!

Peace~

Finally I obtained my first bottle of Van Van today! And...my god the smell is so strong to me I nearly coughed to death over a drop that I put on my wrists. I guess I need to get used to it...I'm afraid it'll be aversive and super noticeable to other people too. Sometimes I'm paranoid though... :|

Hello, melvinfrohikie --

Everyone is unique, and so are our oils. My husband avoids Van Van Oil -- but i wear it a lot, especially when i am reading for clients and want to change my vibe between readings. It is among our top ten best-selling oils and the recipe goes back more than 125 years, so i am not about to change it.

We hand-make more than THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY different oils, and each one is unique.

If one of them is not to your liking, i hope that another one will be.

Good luck.

You guys make amazing oils. Maybe down the line I'll join you guys, but I have TONS to learn first. I picked Van Van for its properties after a lot of research, just something I'll need to get used to is all. When I started rootwork (which was not too too long ago for that matter) it was a REAL challenge for even me to negotiate with myeslf that everyone in the entire city couldn't pick me out of a crowd and hone in on my mojo hand (it's pretty well fed)

Hello, cecila,

You have to work with the intention of the products. So, if Van Van clears way negativity and brings in positive energies, work with it!

So, it could if you altar the petition saying something like: "Clear out bad friends and bring in good people for friends"

(or something like that)

Wishing you the best

Take care

Thank you Miss Aida.
Sounds good to me to use: "Clear out bad friends and bring in good people for friends" .
Still don't know how to anoint the candle since I'm asking to clear out and to bring on the same petition. Can you help me?
thank you

Hello cecila,

Some folks do not worry about the direction of anointing at all while others have a very codified way of doing this. I would anoint the candle from the top down to the base. In my thinking it would be similar to how you would do it if you were bathing with Van Van bath crystals. Other folks might do it differently depending on how they may have been taught.

Peace~

thank you natstein,
so I'll use down direction to anoint a candle with Van Van to get rid of false friends and negativity.
I have 2 more question if you don't mind.
1.Can I use a second candle with Van van to bring new friends-of course I'll anoint in a upper manner.
2.Can be the second candle( to bring new friends) light in the same time with the first(to get rid of false friends and negativitity)?
thank you

Just wondering: if I were to anoint my broom with can van oil, would I stroke it up or down? I'm thinking down so it would banish negativity, correct?

Thank you!!

Also, this may be a silly question, but as I was cleaning the kitchen, my bottle of van van oil fell out of my pocket, broke, and shattered all over the floor. I was carrying it in my pocket to anoint rags I was using to clean the counters.

Now, the funny thing is that I was just getting ready to mop the floor and put a bit of oil into the mop water to cleanse the place out. I was very disappointed that it broke, but I just cleaned up the glass and herbs/minerals, used the mop to absorb the oil, and I mopped the house anyway, declaring my intent to chase out negativity and bad luck whilst opening up our roads. Boy, the smell was sure strong, hah!

Anyway, I don't know if that was a bad omen, a sign that the house REALLY needed to be cleansed, or just sheer human folly and simple mistake (shouldn't have kept it in my pocket!)

In your opinion, what did this mean?

LonePine99,

Great question! Usually when an item like that breaks even though it was human error ( or could have been) it is still seen as a sign to the work. The oil bottle took a hit for you, or its a sign of the blockage that you need to work through. It is good that you cleaned and still worked regardless and pushed through. I would repeat the work. Take an uncrossing, or road opener bath and redo the oil. I personally love chines floor wash to cleanse the house followed by lighting a candle with van van oil and incense afterwards to seal the room.

Chinese wash: http://www.luckymojo.com/chinesewash.html
Road opener can be used with van van: http://www.luckymojo.com/roadopener.html
van van products works well to open roads and luck: http://www.luckymojo.com/vanvan.html
7 herb bath to draw love money happiness ( which is what I think you want with van van to help with), can use van van to dress your body after the bath, light candles or charms you wear: http://www.herbmagic.com/7-herb-spiritu ... -days.html

That was my suspicion - that the bottle broke because there must be intense blockage, or because I could possibly be crossed (or my family is). My family and I have experienced SO many issues with poverty, health, relationships, jobs, etc. that it's just not funny. I've been very interested in doing spiritual cleansings lately, as well as clearing out my clutter. My childhood house, where I currently live with my parents, doesn't feel completely terrible energetically, but nearly everything needs to be repaired or replaced and so it feels somewhat delapidated. We have no money to fix these things either. My father definitely has more miasma hanging around him than my mother, and he's in more ill health than she is. They both need drastic turn-arounds in luck, however. My mom hasn't been able to find a good, steady job that pays well for over a decade, and she's close to retirement age. So, you can see, with what little money I currently have, I chose Van Van oil to help with these things. I can definitely say that things felt much better after I mopped!

How should I dispose of the broken bottle shards and herbs? Throw it west at a crossroad?

I was sought to wash glass and put it in the recycling bin. No one who walks barefoot (and that includes four-leggeds as well as two-leggeds) would appreciate walking over glass shards at a crossroads.

Can Van Van oil be mixed in water and used to spray a room down to expel and possible ghosts and hauntings?

I went to an entertainment venue the other day for salsa dancing, that place was used to be a 19th century old warehouse that no one uses anymore, it got converted to an entertainment venue in 1969, which is still around today. The moment I walked in there, I got this creepy feeling that some entity or presence that does not belong in there. People that goes there regularly said they had light bulbs blowing up for no reason, and seeing an unknown woman near the female bathrooms. My intuition tells me that it is a lot more than that.

I had the same feeling when I moved into my apartment but I lit some Van Van incense to drive any possible ghosts out. I'm asking if the oil in water can do the same, even though water with Van Van bath crystals dissolved is a better choice, which I don't have, and it is not like I can light incenses in that venue without the current owner's approval.

Yes, you can pour the Van Van oil into water, but they will separate (oil and water don't mix). However, if you shake them up hard and spritz them quickly that will work just fine, the same as it does for Peace Water.

Alternatively, you could dissolve some Van Van Bath Crystals in warm water and spritz that.

LuckyScorpio,

Yes you can! Van Van is almost the same as Chinese Wash just not in a soap. You can use it to spiritually clean any space. Since it is an oil, cut it with Florida Water or just plain warm water and shake it up. Wipe down the surface and then follow with a dry cloth to get any residue. I like to dab some on a tissue at work and lightly dust my desk. Makes the work week much more pleasant. I will throw in the caution on using it on floors though. It will make them slippery!

Hi everyone,

What would you say as a general spell for using van van? I saw the page that has information on the oil, but I didn’t see anything that has a suggested prayer or general spell. I have used it before but usually I just put a little on me but I was thinking about doing a candle spell tonight since it’s a New Moon. I also have blessing, attraction, block buster, protection, 5 finger grass and Crown of success, should I add any of those oils? Thank you!

Hi CuriouslilThing,

If you check out the page on Lucky Mojo's site for Van Van Spiritual Products, you can get a feel for how folks use this oil:

http://luckymojo.com/vanvan.html

It's used for empowering amulets, and as it says on that page, annointing the body, dressing mojo bags, and making up baths and floor washes. Deciding what you'd like to use Van Van for will help point you in the right direction to find some guidance. Do you want to remove evil, empower an amulet, or maybe annoint yourself for luck? Do you want to create a lucky bath?

You can find help for all of those types of spells in threads across this forum, or if you let us know what you're trying to do here, we can help point you in the right direction. Thanks, and good luck!

Hi FiachnaCybele,

Thank you for your speedy reply! I read that page a few weeks ago before I ordered the oil and then I skimmed through it earlier today, but thank you for posting it! Honestly I was looking for something that would help clear up any blocks I’m having with my creativity (I’m an author and I’ve got writers block at the moment), help open up paths for me to find love, success, and open more doors in the catering job I work part-time.

I guess I thought with a general spell using that oil I could unblock all those paths in one shot. I planned on doing a candle spell for work afterwards with steady work, money drawing & blessing oil. I was thinking that Wednesday or a different day this week I could do a another candle spell for my books to help draw in more positive reviews and customers. So I figured if I used Van Van tonight I could start opening the paths so that I could do the other spells afterwards.

Did that make sense? Lol. Thank you!

Hi CuriouslilThing,

It totally makes sense!

For opening roads for your creativity, I might actually recommend either Road Opener or Block Buster, as those are specifically created for that type of work. There are some great Psalms you can pray as well as spell ideas here under the Road Opener Spiritual Supplies page:

https://www.luckymojo.com/roadopener.html

As well as some great spell/psalm ideas for Block Buster work:

https://www.luckymojo.com/blockbuster.html

And here is a great thread about using Van Van to open up new opportunities, which might be of some help:

Best of luck to you!

Hello Brooks2248,

Yes you can burn them concurrently.

You can do Uncrossing work when you need to, as you wouldn't want to linger in negative energy any longer than necessary. So you can ignore Mercury Retrograde and get yourself properly cleansed.

Good luck.

Hi -

I have a question about Van Van Oil. It seems like a good general oil that could be used every day to anoint yourself to stay spiritually clean. Would using Van Van every day for that purpose be overkill OR is it better to use only when needed?

Good day everyone,

I have a rather stupid question on the use of Van Van oil for anointing a talisman. I have recently bought a Talisman Of the Venus Pendant and would like to anoint her with the Lucky mojo van van oil. My question is: is there a specific way (or direction) to put the oil on to my tailsman? Sorry for asking such a question, I have tried looking up the answer everywhere but many of the sources just do not have a specific instruction. :(

Or do I simply follow the general "upward / downward" rule for magick oils? Thanks in advance!!

eye_candies --

That is not a stupid question, There is not one way or "rule" for aninting talismans.

In 1936, Lewis deClaremont, in the book "Legends of Incense, Herb, and Oil Magic" recommended using oil only around the edges, not on the faces of talismans.

I was also once told to "trace the image with your oily finger," that is to follow the design as if drawing it with the finger which you have dipped into the oil. In my experience, if the design is complex, you may need to refresh the oil on your finger.

I was never taught "up" versus "down" for talismans by any of my elders -- only for candles.
