During the process of uncrossing my ex with the 13 herb bath through the past 2 weeks, I've been entrusting his doll under the protection of St. Michael by putting a prayer card in the doll bag. As long as the uncrossing was in progress, I couldn't really do love spells on my ex since they would get removed by the baths, so it was more important to keep him protected. Now that the uncrossing is all finished, I'd like to keep asking St. Michael to protect him. However, I'm confused as to whether I can specify in my prayer to St. Michael to only protect him from enemy spells and allow my love spells to take effect on my ex. Is St. Michael's protection negotiable like that? The reason I am asking is because I was told that protection products like the fiery wall of protection would by default block out ALL spells including mine. I wonder if it's the same with the saints?

Miss Aida suggested that I put a baptized picture of my ex face to face with a Saint Michael's prayer card and tape them together permanently to protect him. As I look through my photos of him I realized I don't really have a good recent picture of him by himself, but got a bunch of good ones of the two of us together. Can I use a picture of us both with Saint Michael so I get protected as well? But in that case, how do I baptize our picture? Thanks!

Hi,

Can you pray to a saint without burning a candle? Archangel Michael for example: I have an icon and a his prayer card and I offer him water, but I'm about to run out of candles and can't afford more. I ran out of matches a while back and can't even afford more of them, I've been lighting candles with little pieces of wood that I light on my stove (which isn't safe and I'd rather not do anymore). I know candles and matches are cheap but I'm already scrounging for the last two quarters needed to do a load of laundry.

I talk to St. Michael and St. Martha regularly and would like to continue doing so but don't want to disrespect them.

I'd also like to strengthen our relationship, sometimes I feel support and sometimes I don't. Are saints fickle, or is it something I'm doing wrong? I have been very stressed and anxious lately and have trouble focusing when I pray, but I still try.

I am soo impressed with this saint. I've been dealing with ever-increasing anxiety for nine years (I have PTSD). It had gotten so bad that I had to quit my job and basically hide in my house all the time. Finally, I'm not sure why, I decided to petition St Michael to deal with my anxiety and fear. I bought a nice statue (I know I didn't have to, but I love saints' statues) and said a prayer someone had posted here.

Normally, I'd feel okay from the time I woke up until about 10 am, when I'd feel the anxiety creeping on. So I said my prayer at about 7 am and waited. Ten a.m. came . . . I waited. Eventually, the entire day had passed . . . and I hadn't felt one shred of anxiety.

I was completely blown away. It was an amazing feeling not to be in a state of terror all the time.

I have been saying the same prayer every day ever since. It's been about four months, and the anxiety is totally gone. It's amazing.

Now the question: Is it true that you can petition him to deal with those who are wronging you? I saw it mentioned here, but want to make sure this is accurate.

Hi,

I very much so want to build an altar to Saint Micheal. I prayed to him for love knowing that he is very loving and protection of my heart and soul. Reading this forum I am starting to reconsider if i am praying to him correctly and the right Saint for this. I'm a strong person so i called on the Great Prince to help me. A man briefly showed up in my life the day after I first prayed to him with the middle name Micheal and I asked why he had told me his middle name and his response was "Micheal, the archangel." i was baffled and then he showed me his arm that was covered in a giant tattoo of the archangel putting Lucifer back into Hell.... Today i pull a card for my daily tarot, it was the temperance card with the angel. Then i read my daily horoscope which said specifically that my angels are working hard for me. I am for sure he is telling me that he heard my call and is working in my life. I want to order everything to build an altar for the Great Prince but i feel after reading this forum I might be sending him the wrong prayer? If this is something I can call on him for How shall I go about the best way to build the altar and honor him. If this is not the Saint to pray to him about, which is best?

Hello Kyla,

Arch angel Michael is mostly known for protecting people and as the patron of those in the milatary, police or firefighters, that type of thing. But for some people he may be do other things. In Catholic traditions it is common for a person to have a patron saint and if St. Michael were someone's patron since being a small child that person could likely pray to him for most anything as they will have developed a particularly close relationship.

For you if you feel that St. Michael has been answering your prayer in love then it is possible that he may be willing to do these things for you. My questions would be how long have you been working with or developing your relationship with him and what has it been like so far. On other option might be to get a reading with someone who is very familiar and has a good relationship with St Michael and just ask if he is willing to work with you in this way. If you go to the AIRR site (www.readersandrootworkers.org) you will see who there specializes in the Catholic tradition or working with saints. A quick yes or no type of reading tends to be pretty affordable as well.

Another route is to set up an alter like you are suggesting in devotion to him without asking for anything in particular first. Just giving him candles dedicated to him and what ever other offerings seem appropriate. Most alters would probably include red candles and a picture of him. It could even be as simple as a single glass encased St. Michael candle and a small glass of water on a table with a red cloth draped over it to begin and just see how it develops.

On a side note you mentioned pulling the temperance card which is an angel but not typically associated with St. Michael so much as St. Rapheal, an angel of healing. It could be that more than one angel is willing to work with you.

When I was child my grand mother had a small figure of Saint Micheal, a beautiful huge male angel standing over a bed protecting a child as she slept. I use to wake up in the middle of the night with someone sitting at the foot of my bed. I thought I was making things up then I had an AIRR reader tell me I had the gift of dreams. I was also told I was a warrior. I was also in the military for 6 years. I will definitely be getting another reading. I don't know if he is my patron but i got chills reading that and I think I might possibly be kindred to him. I prayed for more of love healing and protection but the man that brought me the message was specifically for that reason of bring that into my life and and not a love interest. I prayed to St. Micheal on a Wednesday and by Thursday night after I had prayed again I was brought the message. I also Prayed to Rapheal so I am a little stunned that you have brought him up. In fact the rest of my horoscope was to do with my business venture, and I have been praying to angels to bring me business networking and knowledge and today I was blessed with a huge open door of opportunities. I have also been experiencing bright flashes of light out of the corner of my eyes, even when they are closed. My candles for blessings will burn a bright white color for a bit instead of the normal yellow/gold/orange flame color. If i have multiple angels working with me I can feel their presence. I will be getting a reading to clarify and get to making those altars.

Just an update, i got a reading with an AIRR reader yesterday and yes Saint Micheal is my patron Archangel. very lucky and blessed, he is working on my business with me. he said that we have a very open and good line of communication. Should I go about setting up the altar in the same way as before or any changes since he is working on my business on my behalf?

Hello everyone, about two or three weeks ago I dreamed that I was driving down the highway in 18 wheeler truck with a male friend of mine. This male friend is a client and also wants to be much more. At any rate in the dream we were stopped by police officer, looks like it was a roadblock for everyone. The officer escorted me out of the truck and put me through what I thought with the hotel. Once inside the hotel I realize thatthis was a huge French mansion. He led me to a table that probably could seat 50 people. There was so much food and wine on this table it was unbelievable and all of a sudden the police officer turned into my waiter. The waiter turned to me and said, ( called me by my real name) I am Saint Michael the arch angel, I am your protector forever and that whatever I wanted, to ask him and he would supply me with ALL of my hearts desire! So I asked him for Pepsi and he poured from a gold pitcher Pepsi! He then asked if I needed any thing else and I said I wanted some red one red wine, so from the same picture he poured red wine!!! He then turned to me and said you can have anything that you want all you ever have to do is ask me for me and I will give it to you. Ok, so there's sooo much more to this story but will put in another thread. But my question is what do I do? Or what should I have done? Has anyone ever petition thank Michael for money, finances, success or love? How would I do that? I'm kinda lost! I've always burned him periodically for protection but nothing else.

Welcome to the forum! When you get a chance, and presuming you wish to do so, please introduce yourself in the Introductions thread.

Interesting to dream of Archangel Michael as a provider of prosperity and abundance. Typically that is Archangel Ariel's position, and he would be the one you petition for the list you mentioned. Michael is the protector saint who clears away negative energy. Perhaps he was telling you that he is willing to work with you to clear away the spiritual debris blocking your path to your dreams (the overflowing table).

You might want to invest in a 10 minute reading with someone from Hoodoo Psychics or AIRR to determine the meaning of this dream, and in particular the role of the police officer. That bit puzzles me.

Thank you so much, Miss Athena, I did as you told me and introduced myself, please forgive me I didn't know to do that. But now you see WHY I was soo puzzled at this dream! I've only ever known St. Michael to be a protector or destroyer/overcomes of enemies evil plans and negativity against you. I've never heard of him "supplying your desires if love, money or success"!
I have these prayers using Psalms and hidden words of power that I've always used for money with great success, working with the Angels is new territory to me! A few days ago, Ael (Anael) started talking to me! Just out the blue!!! She gave me specific instructions on how to petition HER for my love life! She even told me a lot of things to do for my children who needed help too! I got to tell you, this is all new to me. I did do the ritual that Ael told me to do with St. Michael in order to gain prosperity and financial success. Will let you guys know what happens!
I did create an altar for St Michael, Ael even told me HOW and where to set it up for him and her!
I do wonder WHY NOW? I've been gifted all my life and could never help myself, not sure why now they are communicating with me, but I'm surely very EXCITED about it!

WOW!!! Thanks, I couldn't understand why the police officer escorted ME out of the truck and his eyes were soooo piercing, like he was fixated on me only! I did get that he was "protecting" my friend too, but more so me! He looked like Al Pacino and the officer from Chips all in one, lol! But he was very INTENSE. He almost demanded that I know that HE was there for me at ANYTIME I needed him, he just wanted me to come to him and ask.

is it possible to combine Archangel Michael and Saint Cprian of Antioch (the patron saint of magicians) for protection when working with wild and unpredictable spirits like the Intranquil spirit, Anima Sola and Santisima Muerte.

is it advisable to place Archangel Michael and Saint Cyprian on the same Altar, or should I seperate them?

Hi naijasam,

I don't know if that combination will necessarily protect you from hell hounds like the Intranquil Spirit, although it is always a good idea to work with Archangel Michael for protection in general. He is very powerful.

Personally, I avoid the Intranquil Spirit as I do not deal with hell-bound spirits. You can always try that combination, but you are still playing with fire.

I have several saints on my altar together, but I pray to them individually.

I think I will leave off for now on working with the intranquil spirit, till I am more confident of handling such a risk.

I will set up an altar to Archangel Michael immediately.

I always see a woman so beautiful, dripping with water in my dreams. she has asked me to serve her on several occasions. I can't serve a spirit that I don't know. I had a reading and was told she is a marine spirit, a sort of Mermaid (the incubus/sucubus type).

Every time she appears, I loose important jobs, contracts and appointments. She has chased away a lot of my clients. So, I am thinking of approaching Archangel Michael for protection.

Hey everyone , I am new to the site

I have been going threw a lot and I am trying to reach out to St.Michael
Ive recently done a bath to cleanse myself and I also have done candle work to remove negativity that was put on me, I am very new into this type of stuff so I am not sure if I am doing things correctly I just need some guidace and advice from you all, I have a 7 day novena candle burning currently for St.Michael I also put out a cigar a cinnamon as offerings with a glass of water and his photo. I have a small alter since I am new to this I would like some advice on how to better my alter and the different types of altars. I am currently trying to remove any negative spirits that walk with me and fix my love life, I have tried reaching out to my ancestors making offerings of popcorn roasted peanuts and coffee but I seem not to dream or get any signs or symbols if I do dream its very little and I barely remember them

I hope that they are just not shutting me out, any advice to a newbie would be greatly apriciated

Hi Miss_A,

St Michael is a very powerful spiritual ally and protector, and he has never let me down personally. I am happy that you are appealing to him for help in your situation.

Your novena to him is a nice idea. Traditional offerings to him have been red candles and red flowers, as red is his color (it represents the heat of battle). The traditional day for praying to him is Sunday, but he can hear you any time you wish to speak to him. Do so often, and build a relationship with him. Show him (and any other spiritual ally) respect and gratitude first, before asking for favors. This is very important - you wouldn't go up to another person and just ask for a favor without first showing your appreciation of them. Ask him what you can offer him and see what messages you get. I was directed to red carnations, for both the color and spicy scent. I bring him fresh red carnations every Sunday, and thank him daily for his constant protection.

You might also want to add his statue to your altar - Lucky Mojo sells lovely St Michael statues, so scroll down this page and you will find several options:

As for your ancestors, it's important to find the ones who most want to help you. You could turn to someone who was particularly close to you in life and appeal for their assistance or guidance. The more you speak and show gratitude, the more likely you will get a message. I have done this myself, and found other ancestors coming forward to volunteer as well. I leave them offerings that I know they enjoyed in life, or directed me to from the beyond. Speak to them regularly, and give thanks always.

I hope this helps. Give yourself some time to build up these spiritual relationships and see if you start getting more signs and messages.

My St. Michael candle I had lit to ward off evil influences and negative energy after a few bad occurrences with my boyfriend recently finished (about a week ago). I then washed my floors (only my bedroom to the front door) with the floor wash (3rd time now). That night, I woke up because I heard a knock on my front door. No one was there and everyone else in my home was sleeping. I went back to sleep and I was dreaming, that turned into me hearing someone entering my room. I woke up but my door was still closed and no one was there. I am a bit worried and wondered can these things be in my mind or can something else be going on?

If you feel that there is a troublesome entity or negative energy still in your house, I'd say to clean the whole place top to bottom, front to back with Chinese Wash diluted in a gallon of warm water (and open the windows as you do so), then throw the wash water into a crossroads to remove it. Then close all the windows, and mix up more St. Michael floor wash, and use it to wash down the floors and all the windows and doors, praying to him for protection as you do so.

How can I setup a Saint Michael altar in dedication of his feast day? I usually burn his seven day candles on a consistent basis for protection but would like to honor him on his upcoming feast day on September 29th. What type of offerings to give and also the correct direction of placing the items.

Hello, labotanica,

You can just put an image of him and then light a candle in front of the image (white or red)

The image can be a picture, statue, or, if you already have a Lucky Mojo St Michael candle (which already has is image), just light it

You can give a glass of fresh water, flowers( I usually use white flowers with al the Saints just to be safe as white is a neutral color)

Light the candle, say his prayer (out loud) and then tell him who you are and that the candle is just to honour him on his feast day

Is there a particular saint to pray to that can remove dark spirit's that are attached to a person? The two people have had a few ritual cleansings with multiple bird's and roosters and ceremonies and nothing is working. We've tried LM jinx killer and 13 herb bath but the attachment just won't break. It's actually two close people that have these attachments and it's becoming very draining and costly for them because nothing is working. Psychics cleanse them and then lie and say the entity is gone...go to another reader and they say it's still there. They are pretty hip to being lied to and played upon. What I have found is that when you stop paying people for NOTHING!! and start doing thing's yourself there always seems to be improvement.

Along time ago I was advised by a beloved rootworker to set up a Saint Michael altar, which I eventually did...

When dealing with true evil in the world, I have found no better ally than Saint Michael. I have seen him deal with a few problem people here and there. I remain truly thankful for his intervention in my life. He truly stands against all forms of evil and injustice that humans can devise.

On his feast day I will light another candle in honor of this Archangel and true thankfulness of his presence in addressing concerns in matters of shenanigans in daily life. A truly powerful and remarkable emissary from God is Saint Michael. As his feast day approaches I pray he protect all my friends and family including my much loved magical family...!

Don't forget that Sept 29 is St Michael's feast day.

If he has helped you, I would be a good idea to light a candle for him and say a prayer just to honour him (ask no favors. Just honour him)

I am going to be traveling, and I am hoping to keep my Unjinxing mojo bag safe, unseen, and untouched, so I will probably keep it in a zippered pocket in my purse. No one has ever looked in there but me. Since I can't wear it everywhere, I'm thinking of wearing a St. Michael medal and dressing it with something like Fiery Wall of Protection. I am going to get some St. Michael supplies from LJ, like the oil (I have the holy card), but might have to get the medal from a place that sells gold or silver ones. Everything sets off my skin these days. Would you advise burning a candle on top of it, or covering it with a holy card? I'd like it to be prayed over properly and with respect in time for some long and possibly tiring journeys.

I usually first cleanse them and then bless my new medals with Holy Water or 7-11 Holy Oil.

Yes, you can surely light a candle on it also and/or keep it with a holy card
