Quick Question ... I just did a reading for myself and revealed that for my current relationship to Prosper I need to let go of the past especially a particular relationship. I know I need to do a cut and clear to let this person go but since I am already with another person I dont need to attract new love. here's what I was thinking and let me know if I'm incorrect about anything.
Instead of the list could I Carve The ex's name in the black candle and my partners in the white and and just write both there names on a piece of paper and tear it down the middle and proceed with the rest of the suggested spell on the Cut and clear page. and to strengthen my current relationship Chuparrosa oil instead of come to me ? it is important to me to stay as traditional as possible.

Yes that is correct lunaislight. Chuparrosa is a great way to strengthen you relaitonship, and the come to me can still be relevant in this situation. Feel free to use both oils or the chuparrosa. Good luck.

Hi All,

I had a reading with Miss Cat (Brilliant) and it was recommend that I do the Black Walnut and Cut and Clear spells.

First Question with the Cut n Clear spell the candles am i suppose the female figure candles representing me or Male representing he shall not be named ever again.

Second question..I live in a shared house on a busy street so it not really feasable for me to walk naked to the cross road. Could i put a coat n be naked underneath any suggestions would be helpful????

Your first question is not clearly stated, but I am guessing you mean the female figure is named for you and the male figure is named for the person you want to cut out of your life.

Walking naked is an important part of the spell...its tradition.

For the black walnut portion of the work you are using one black candle, it can be figural or just a plain black offertory candle. The Cut and clear portion uses two figural candles, one white figural representing yourself, according to your gender, and one black figural representing the person (or situation) you are clearing from, according to the person's gender.

So depending on what you have on hand, it might be more feasible to use a plain black offertory candle for the black walnut bath (4" I would think would be suitable unless you plan on taking a long bath) and use the figural candles for the Cut and Clear.

I dated a man last year with who I'd had a year's aquantanceship. The relationship was the easiest, most loving relationship I'd ever been in (and Im no youngster!). I felt as if it were he that I had been looking for all my life. As in- soulmate. There were alot of "life issues"- neither of us were making much money and he was an undocumented immigrant, which prohibited him from traveling back to his birth country and getting better work. During the brief time we were together, we were very close but he was suddenly faced with his mother's aging/illness and the potential loss of housing/employment and it was like he snapped! He said he felt like he needed to get away for a short time because he was feeling pulled from every direction. He left for 10 days- and came back in such a depression- despondent- and broke up with me, with very little explanation. I was shocked, to say the least. I attempted to honor his request to give him space- but it was against my nature to "abandon" him at such a time- and I also must say that I felt deeply rejected, even though I knew I had done nothing "wrong". Four months after our separation, I went to see him and found that he no longer lived in the apartment and no longer was at his job- and his phone had been disconnected, leaving me with no way to reach him. It has now been 7 months since I have seen or heard from him.

My question is this: Should I do a Cut & Clear Spell?

I am as if not more confused now about whether he truly is my soulmate. While I am no longer in deep grief, and feel (almost) ready to date again- I still think about him everyday. When I read the Cut & Clear Spell, it suggests that contact will be cut will be FOREVER- and I do not want to affect destiny in this way- if it is not meant to be. The truth is, he didnt do anything "to me"- he basically had an emotional/life crisis and did not allow me to love him through it. He was a kind, spiritual, gentle and loving man.

So, I am not sure what kind of spell I should do- to open me to love again, moving on- but not necessarily cutting him out forever, should life present this as a possibility.

Any suggestions?

You could get a reading to get your answer if you are at odds; however from your reading a cut and clear will remove feelings (emotional bonds) but you will not remove him forever. He may still contact you at some date. You can also do some healing work for yourself to love again but understand Cut & Clear does both removes the emotional attachment and drawing a positive love to you.

So do I have this right? If I do a cut and Clear- it will remove the emotional attachment AND it will also remove the possibility for drawing positive love- are you saying from him (ever again) or from others as well? I believe that he is working through his life issues and that he didnt leave me because he didnt love me- he left because he didnt want to drag me down and he didnt feel capable of being in the relationship. The fact still remains- I have no contact- and we did a parting ritual so that we could move on, and emotionally I still love him. Whether or not we wil find our way back to each other is not known. So I would like to be emotionally free from the attachment, but not cut off the possibility of him coming back- or me finding other love either.

Cut and Clear will remove your emotional connection to him. Period.

It will then open the way for you to bring in new love that meets your needs.

Why would you think that it would in any way remove your ability to find love in the future?? Have you read the spell??

Cut and Clear will clear the emotional attachment or the emotional connection?

I do not want to cut off the possibility of him coming back- nor me finding other love either

I don't want to do a reconsciliation spell OR cut off the POSSIBILITY of us coming together again. It is clear though that I have emotional attachment to him- and that is preventing me from being able to move on. I know people who come back together after years apart, and since it was life circumstances on his part- and not about any problems we had in our relationship, I want to leave it open BOTH for me to move on AND for him to come back- IF THAT IS OUR DESTINY.

the cut and clear spell will probably be really good for you then. If you read through the page you see that in the ritual you remove the bad connections to the past and open up to a new love in the future. It is not a ritual that will cut of your ability to love. It will create the opportunity for new love, by removing the hurt from the past.

The black walnut spell is another spell that _can_ be done in conjunction with the cut and clear spell, and in that spell you don't say the name ever again and remove them out of your life forever.

I don't know if you have but it would seem as though from your questions that you may not have fully read the referenced website on the Cut and Clear working. Cat makes it pretty clear that you are absolutely drawing positive love to yourself...in fact she uses those exact words several times and if you actually go through the steps, including the use of Come to me oil...it should be abundantly clear that this spell in no way cuts you off from receiving love. In fact in all the time I have been on this website I have not even come across any working even suggested which you would voluntarily perform on yourself to remove your capacity for and attainment of love. I am not trying to be rude, but it is honestly so clearly presented I don't see how you could be missing it if you read it. In jwmcclin's reply to you she simply used the word "drawing" when she meant "draws", make the substitution, read the website and all will be well

Cut and Clear does not remove ones ability to love or draw a new partner, it just doesn't, the quote from jwmcclin you reference is in error, in all likelihood a simple typo as jwmcclin knows what he is talking about.

So just to be clear, and I speak as someone who has done the Cut and Clear spell, it does not remove you're ability to love,be loved or draw a new person into your life, it simply removes your feelings for someone so that you can move on.

The clear and cut spell allows you to move on from whatever is holding you back.

Example, Lets say you are in a relationship, and your lover cheated on you early in the relationship. You have done reconciliation work, and healing work so that you and your lover can come back together. BUT you just cannot let it go. This is where the clear and cut spell would be great. It allows you to let GO of the obsession with the cheating. So on the black candle you would put something like "let go of thoughts and suspicions of my lover cheating" On the white candle you would put love oils such as fire of love, and stay with me so that you can move on to a healthier relationship. Here, you are NOT cutting off your lover or your ability to love them, but you are cutting off the OLD thoughts and suspicions that consume you.

Another example. You just broke up with someone, but you still dwell on what could have been, but it is clearly over. The clear and cut is great because it allows you to cut off those feelings, and even BETTER is you need to do the walnut spell to DEADEN the feelings for that person. So you can do that portion located on the page. Now this will remove your feelings for this person, and then allow for new love to come in.

Example 3. Perhaps you are still dwelling on that job you lost, and wish you could get your job back and so on. Again clear and cut can allow you to move on from what happened at that old job, and move on to find and even better job that might be waiting for you.

So in general, the clear and cut helps to cut off whatever is holding you back, and then proceed on in better terms in the future.

My thought is I could write out a list of what I want to get rid of and be free from- maybe in petition form and what I want to bring in- (say removal of memories, impact it has caused, increased motivation, good habit formation and new love) and I could dress the candles accordingly. Anyacreate, my initial thought: This does not sound like an old-school Cut and Clear spell in the African American conjure tradition to me.

Why would you want to remove your own memories? Wouldn't it be better to learn to deal with them and place them in perspective?

I think you should not do this spell. It is not designed to produce what you say you want. It removes and cuts away a past love.

You said you don't want to remove the possibility of a future love with this person. So the Cut and Clear is wrong for that.

Now, a few days later, you are asking us to agree with your plan to use the Cut and Clear spell to remove YOUR OWN MEMORIES. But it doesn't work like that either.

When a traumatic event occurs, people develop all kinds of beliefs- both conscious and unconscious. Certain things can "trigger" them, on and off- throughout life(s), whether it is a memory, a smell or a person who looks similar. I am not referring to "not working on one's issues" as much as I am referring to the emotional/psychological "charge" caused by the triggering memory.

I replied to your request for information about a revenge spell in the other thread you started.

I am going to be blunt and hoinest here: it looks to me like you are uing this forum as a form of therapy, by posting over and over about this subject. I have already deleted a ouple of duplicated posts you made (same tesxt, rrepeated) and what i see now is a sense of obsessive dithering -- do it, don't do it, do anyother spell, do it, don't do it, do another spell. You are circling.

Dear Cat,
I am totally new to this work. I came across it in one of what I call "synchronistic coincidence". When something like this comes in front of me- I look at it, and see what it has to offer. I just have no understanding or information about Hoodoo, so I am trying to clarify. What I know is- something about this is really drawn me in. I have spent alot of hours on this site reading about the various products and spells and then I think about my life and situations- to try to come up with what spells I should try. I'm just trying to understand how this works, thats all! So, my posts are to gain clarity, not to get therapy. THis particular post is regarding whether or not it is possible to do one spell for a number of situations. Im just trying to understand the nature of Hoodoo. In regards to the Cut and Clar- I had read where one of the practitioners used it to clear the way from years past- and start the new year fresh. That is where I was going with my inquiry. Like- I have this issue, that one and this one- and I want to let go of the things that are blocking me, or standing in the way- would it make sense to do one spell to wipe the slate clean, so to speak? Thats where my question is coming from. A place on not knowing.

Recently, I came across the hoodoo forum and have listened to a bunch of the shows. I am intrigued...and- I am also a little nervous mostly because I am unsure of where I stand bout "manipulating" or forming the course of events. can someone please tell me why the kit does not come with items such as, black arts powder, walnuts, graveyard dirt.

is there different kinds of cut and clear/

You say you are asking for a Cut and Clear spell, but actually you are asking for a Fall Out of Love spell for your ex. This is a different spell.

Separation products were mentioned to keep things civil while you and your partner move apart.

I see, makes sense!

From what I understand, Cut and Clear works to cut ALL ties to the past lover... so if at some point you'd like to be friends, it doesn't seem like this one would work for your intentions. In my opinion the separation products would work better for you since you still would like some sort of friendly bond to remain.

really have been pouring over your site and can't wait to place an order. I am not a ready proponent of hoodoo, but I have a totally open mind and really feel like I want to give some things here a shot.

I got involved with a man who I think has a personality disorder -- I'm no psychologist, my Phd is in something else but it seems to be related to either bipolar or narcissistic etc etc.

The synergistic way we met was undeniable, we communicate strongly telepathically, he is highly psychic, and when we touch, everything else melts away. When he touches with intention, the love is astounding between us both.

But...

This man has been terrible to me. he hasn't hit me, but has come very close -- terribly enough to cross out all the times he has been amazing to me.

He'd also taken up with someone else online while still living with me under the guise of having a relationship.

I told him goodbye -- telling him not to call me. it was the last straw. His anger is at RAGE level, and I seem to be the target.

I haven't heard from him in a month -- even though he knew i was in the hospital at the time and had a long recovery ahead of me.

You have answered all your own questions:

1) This is a Lucky Mojo Forum -- you say you are not using our products. Therefore speak to the manufacturer of the products yu purchased -- we cannot advise you on those products. We are certainly glad to see you here, but please understand, this is a Lucky Mojo Forum,

2) You used some brand of Come to Me Oil and what appears to be communication-enhancing oil (which you call "messenger oil") to contact a man whom you had told never to contact you again. He may be bi-polar or narcissistic, but you are highly illogical.

3) You say he is filled with rage at you, but he seems to have another lover and is under command not to contact you -- so why rock the boat. Walk away!

4) You say you want "closure." Honey, you GOT closure when you told him never to contact you again and he followed your instructions!

My advice: Get a reading from a reputable diviner at AIRR (The Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers) and then sit back, take a deep breath, and do a Cut and Clear Spell to rid yourself of residual emotions around this lying loser, and bring in a new, good man.

Thank you Catherine. I laughed about your point about being illogical- of course this is illogical, emotions are not in the realm of logic, are they?

I guess I should have explained a bit more carefully- I was a bit distraught when I wrote before. I had pointed out to him that he was calling me, but always filled with anger, not from a place of caring. I told him I wouldnt mind talking to him, but until he could talk to me from a place of love and joy like he did his other friends, then I didn't want to talk to him. When I told him not to call me, I had just come out of surgery, couldn't talk, and it was my only way of stopping the continual energy of argument --he just can't stop it. I had become the repository of all his hatred toward women, all the disappointments from previous relatinoships, and I had to stop the madness in the quickest way possible since I was in a lot of physical pain at that moment.

I felt victory after i hung up on him, and felt a weight off my shoulders, but I feel myself holding on to hope-- for that amazing love side of him that we shared. It's not enough, and I know it. Time to move on, but am just trying to be honest with all the feelings involved- it's not a logical thing to realize that after all the bad behavior, you can still love someone- in a way, but everything in life doesnt have ot be logical. Its a messy thing- compounded in its messiness Im sure by my own neuroisis and psychosis and all the rest of it. The oil was to bring the chance of a more harmonious ending I suppose, that's all.

I wasn't happy with the products I used before, and I threw them away. I'm here because I'd like to try something from this site. This is not a random urge, I've studied what's going on here quite a bit before posting.

I agree with Cat. Performing a Cut & Clear with the LM oil seems more appropriate given what you have discussed here. Rather than put yourself through even more pain and hurt over this man, please do yourself a favor and accept that for now, this man is not good for you. Cut & Clear to rid yourself of the emotions you have for this man, and do some Clarity work is my recommendation.

THank you so much for your reply, and again to Cat for taking the time to reply. Can anyone out there suggest a reader?

I'd like to do a reading to better understand:
1) the esoteric signs and synchronicities that lead up to us coming together , and continue to happen when we're apart.
2) how to handle when he visits me (in spirit) which he does -and to understand this better. It can happen at work, or at home, while Im doing something else and totally not thinking of him- there he is. During those times, I forget everything except how good the energy feels to be with him, it's alw in a ays a sexual experience with tangible physical sensations--transports my mind completely.
3) How someone can have a huge, bright white light energy aura around them, and have such a torture dark side that is completely self absorbed.

Can anyone out there suggest a reader, or offer insights? Many many thanks! I love this site, it's so informative--and ncessary to those who are new to these traditions.
