Hello yesnik,

It's really up to you. Miss Aida said you could use the same one and I agree, but if the jar feels "dead" to you, like it's been neglected too long, go ahead and start a new one. You can read more about honey jars here:

If I were to have a jar of honey, and prayed over name papers or petitions written in sugar packets and stuck those in there and lot my Monday Wednesday Friday candles would that be effective working for sweetening?

Is it ok to add more honey to a jar I have been working for over a year and the honey has decreased substantially.

Hello, cappygirl11,

It's not common practice to do that but I imagine that it couldn't hurt if you added a little.

Maybe even consider keeping that jar and starting a new one also?

I have a friend who was once very sweet and interested in me & is acting very disrespectful towards me now. Our friendship was alright and all and he told me that he had a big crush on me and asked me if I'm single. He is acting now very possessive, nosey, rude, & overly critical with me and we're getting into a lot of heated arguments. When he calls me I try to make excuses that I'm busy and being the nosey person he is wants to know what I'm doing and he's onto me that I'm trying to give him the cold shoulder. A week ago he clarified to me that he wants nothing serious with me because he still lives in the past thinking about his ex who cheated on him, and he keeps reminding me that he only wants to be friends with me, but he is physically attracted to me and only enjoys talking with me to just kill his boredom. This makes him go back on his word that he said he had a big crush on me. He tends to get really jealous when other male friends of mine talk to me or want to hang out with me, but he made it clear to me that he wants nothing serious with me so I don't understand why he gets so jealous and possessive with me and what's to know what's going on in my personal life. I want to know if there's a white magic spell that I can do to sweeting him up so he'll respect me? I just want to sweeten our friendship and prevent becoming his enemy and walk away like a coward. I really don't understand what's happening to him and I'm really not liking this side of him. I would be more than grateful if anyone can give some helpful advice what to do. Thank you.

Hello deladelasol77,

I'm very sorry this guy is giving you so much trouble. He sounds like a jerk.

My first instinct was to do a Cut & Clear spell or him or even hot foot him, to get him the hell away. Jealousy and possessiveness is just soul-crushing to be around.

http://www.luckymojo.com/cutandclear.html
http://www.luckymojo.com/hotfoot.html

But, if you want to try smoothing things over first, you could put the two of you in a honey jar, to sweeten his nasty nature:

http://www.luckymojo.com/honeyjar.html

And although he's saying he doesn't want to be serious, his actions say otherwise. You could do a spell to stop his attraction toward you:

Good luck to you.

I have read different posts about burning candles on honey jars, and now I have a few questions. One post said to burn a candle every day for a week and then just once a week after that. Another post said every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I cannot burn candles on Monday and Tuesday. Is it okay to burn them when I can? I also read that burning candles was a new tradition anyway, and doesn't need to be done. How do you work a honey jar if you don't use candles? Can I open the jar to put my targets business card in or should I leave it closed?
Thank you!!

Ok this question is 2 fold. My 15yo daughter is friends with a group of girls from her soccer team. Depending on the day, she is either in the group or on the fringe. It seems lately that she is only asked to hang out when they need a ride. It is mostly the ring leader that initiates the problem. she is a bully and picks on others to get ahead. Because of this my daughter has a very low self esteem and keeps quiet in the group. I told my daughter to find new friends but these are the ones she wants.
Here is my questions.

1. Do I do a honey jar for the 4 friends including the bully? If so do I include my daughter? Should I do 2 jars and split the group between them?

OR

2. Do I put the 3 nice girls and my daughter in a honey jar and form the bully- either do a separation candle spell or put her in the freezer to separate her from the group. I am leaning towards this one as the bully is real trouble and has been doing some risky behavior but I do not want karma to comeback on me or my daughter.

OR

3. Can I also do a general honey jar to sweeten the whole girls and boys soccer team to her or is this too many honey jars ? I would I put her in the jar too right?

Thanks everyone in advance

Hello, gozlynn8,

I would try to at least burn one every Friday of the waxing moon.

As far as the other options, they are your personal preference. Personally, I like Mon, Wed, and Fri

You can open a honey jar to put personal concerns into it

I hope this helps

Hello, Tribaby789

Being bullied is so terrible. I am so sorry.

I will answer each question after the question:

1. Do I do a honey jar for the 4 friends including the bully?-Yes, you can do that

If so do I include my daughter?-Definitely yes

Should I do 2 jars and split the group between them?-You can. That is my personal preference

OR

2. Do I put the 3 nice girls and my daughter in a honey jar and form the bully- either do a separation candle spell or put her in the freezer to separate her from the group. I am leaning towards this one as the bully is real trouble and has been doing some risky behavior but I do not want karma to comeback on me or my daughter.-Yu can do that instead also!

OR

3. Can I also do a general honey jar to sweeten the whole girls and boys soccer team to her or is this too many honey jars ? -Yes, you can do that too

I would I put her in the jar too right? -Right!

These are your choices. If one way doesn't work, then try another way.

Wishing you the best

take care

I need some assistance with getting people at work to sweeten some people at work toward me. I have had success with a honey jar in the past and would like some advice on applying this to my current situation.

I am a manager of 20 staff. I have a group of 4 staff who are very difficult to deal with. Always complaining, disrespectful and creating backlogs in work just negative in general. Firing staff is not and option. We work in a unionized environment and terminating and employee is something unheard of. Instead I want to sweeten, soften and gently coerce these people into doing what I need them to do.

I thought a honey jar might work as it has in the past for me. I just don't know what to put into it, what color candle to burn over it or what oils to anoint my candles with. I have a lot of love herbs (rose, damiana, rosemary...) and LM oils (Love Me, Bend Over, Controlling). Would any of these things be appropriate for my honey jar? If not, please recommend herbs and oils to use.

Thank you.

Hello FAY,

I think a honey jar is a good solution for this situation, but I wouldn't use any love herbs or oil. Instead, you could use calamus chips to bring these people more under your control as the sugar or honey sweetens them toward you:

http://herb-magic.com/calamus-root-chips.html

Burn purple candles on top, dressed with Commanding and Master oils, to help you be able to lead and direct your employees:

http://www.luckymojo.com/commanding.html
http://www.luckymojo.com/master.html

Also, carrying Master root on you when you're in the office will give you a more authoritative presence:

Good luck!

Thank you for the quick response Miss Aida.
Just one more question, I am leaning towards doing a general honey jar for the girls and boys soccer team and a more specific jar for the 4 friends she wants to be closer with. I also want to put the bully on the soccer team on ice or do a separation spell to get her to stay away from the other girls. My question is, will there be bad karma for me or my daughter in removing the bully- freezing her out or separating her from the group. I just don't want it to come back on my daughter.
Thanks

Hello, I just purchased the honey jar and have been working it for about 3 days with clean burns. I started the kit but only have a picture of he and I and I do not have any of his personal concerns and he lives in another state so I purchased the come to me candle and am waiting for it to come to give the honey a boost. He texts me good morning text every so often, so I asked him what the chances are of us starting over fresh. He stated there is a chance and I am still in his life but as of now he is focusing on his career and son and is putting me on hold because of what has happened between us.
I am working with someone regarding readings and am doing what she said to do. I welcome any advice or feedback regarding my situation and if there is anything additional I need to do regarding my ex. Also if there is a link regarding prayers for the honey jar, I just want to make sure I am saying the correct prayers. Thanks in advance.

Hello, Nisey1,

here is a list of Psalms and you can browse through them to see what appeals to you:

http://readersandrootworkers.org/wiki/C ... _of_Psalms

Usually, Psalms 23 is good.

The Song of Solomon is great (but we do not have the page for that. You'd have to google it).

Work with the picture if it's all you have

Also, have you looked at reconciliation spell?

Hey, so I have a guy I met over the weekend and I'm thinking of doing a jar to insure things grow and progress between us. I have his DNA on a baby wipe that can go in the jar. I'm just wanting to know if this could do the trick for what I'm going for. Yes the attraction is mutual and he talks to me daily right now.

Hello, I have made my own court case honey jar. I have put a name paper for the judge and for the person actively working against me. This is day 4 and the candle I burned today had a flame almost as long as the candle itself,it is a free standing taper candle.first time that has happened. I'm new to this so I'm not sure what it means,if anything. Court is on 2/9

Hello all, I'm a long time lurker but had a quick question. Tonight I had let someone stay over and the ended up going into the room where I was keeping my honey jar being worked for a unrelated person. Due to them seeing it will I need to restart my work?

I have a honey jar working for my target.

A reader told me that when I order candles to be lit at the church, to stay away from red and stick with pink, blue for healing, and green for attraction, because of this particular person having sensitive issues.

I have been lighting pink and blue candles on my honey jar, but can I light green? Green makes me think of money, and that's not what I'm trying to do.

Can I use green to attract someone to me for a honey jar?

Thank you!

Miss_dee --

People who try to learn hoodoo via the internet tend to lack a basic structural understanding of conjure. They see small, bright "rules" or "dos and don'ts" and seek to apply them to entire classes of spiritual work where they are not applicable. One question that comes up in this way concerns a person who has set a honey jar with a candle on it, and has been lighting small candles in runs -- when, out of the blue, a family member or friend shows up and sees the jar and the candle. Now what? Is the spell "ruined"? Has the jar been "killed"?

Well, i know of no traditional, old-time worker who would say that a honey jar must be worked in secret or it is killed.

The honey spell with a candle on it is a hybrid of two types of spells. It is a sweet spell and it is a candle spell at the same time. This is a fairly common hybrid, but it is a hybrid. So let's look at the notion of "privacy" or "secrecy" in the two spell families from which it derives:

1) Some forms of sweet spells (for instance sugar bowl spells at the breakfast table, sugar packet spells at the office, or prayed-over sugar used in cooking) are inherently going to be seen by the public. Thus we undertstand that although sugar and honey may be used in sneaky tricks, these tricks are rarely private spells.

2) Candle spells may be worked in private (alone in a room), right out in the open as sneaky tricks (as when dressed candles are used for dinner ambient lighting), or in public (as at a Spiritual Church candle service). Thus we understand that candle work may be suitable for use in private work or in sneaky tricks, but it may just as easily be conducted in public.

Perhaps the querent somehow confused instructions about mojo hands -- they must not be seen or touched by others or they are killed -- with either candle spells or sweet spells, and now worries that letting someone see a honey jar spell with a candle on it inherently destroys the work ... but such is not the case.

I am adding this information to my "Hoodoo in Theory and Practice honey and sugar page online here:

http://luckymojo.com/honeyjar.html

Thanks for asking and allowing me to reply.

I understand that with some people who are on edge, setting red lights for love must be approached slowly, working with white, pink, and blue being preferred. Green, however, is not a candle colour i associate with love-drawing, either on a honey jar or alone -- UNLESS the green candles are dressed with Attraction Oil (for drawing money plus love) or Lodestone Oil (for money plus love).

Good luck.

The last jar that I did was plastic because it's all the store I went to sold. I burned a few candles on top all were fine except the last one that while unattended burned a hole in the lid. Is this a bad sign or just stupidity since obviously fire burns plastic? How should I dispose of my jar

I am considering a honey jar for this matter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I began research on an item my father had upon his death, six years ago, which I would like more info on. After much diligence, I finally found information about the possible previous owner (who also passed), and contacted via separate letters the family of that man. Only one son replied, by email, and we had a few exchanges. Although he was not forthcoming about this item, it is still possible it was owned by his father, and I wished he answered my questions as honestly as I did for him. Then he got a little goofy/flirty, which I got a chuckle out of, saying that if we met for a few glasses of wine, he'd tell me "anything". (He's across the country from me, so that ain't happening anyway!)

So my first concern would be if I did a honey jar to "sweeten" his attention to my quest...is it possible it would sweeten him too much? I'm guessing my written intention should be pretty specific to get his help in this matter only. Second, since I never heard from any of the other family members (all women), could I add their names on separate pieces of paper and add them to the same honey jar, since the intention would be the same for each? I guess too, is it strange for me to seek this sweetness by people who don't know of me personally, but obviously did receive my letters? When I wrote to each person, I did mention that I was contacting them all.

I was considering reaching out to the family again, but wondering if doing a honey jar beforehand may help. Also, should I include a photo of the item I'm looking to find this help with in the jar?
Again, any advice would be sincerely appreciated! Thanks!

Hello Beginner01,

I don't think that was a bad sign, I think it was science. You can't burn candles on top of a plastic jar :)

I'd say to ritually dispose of whatever remains you have left from that jar, then make another one (glass this time). You can read about how to dispose of spell remains here:

Take care.

Hello Lee-lime,

I think it's a fine idea to sweeten this family toward helping you and your quest. I think you could write each person their own name paper and add them in the jar together. And don't worry about sweetening that guy "too much." Just be specific when you write your petition and don't write anything about love if you don't want that. You could dress the candles with Five Finger Grass oil to get them to give you the favors you need:

http://www.luckymojo.com/oil-five-finger-grass.html

You can read more about Five Finger grass here:

Good luck to you.

Hi I need a little bit of help, I lost the love of my life about a month ago, she basically sent me a text telling me it was over and that she felt no connection to me anymore and she didn't love me , we was due to go and see a house to rent a few days after the message, I am devastated to say the least, I have tried to work things out with her and I ended up saying things like I didn't want to live without her, anyway, its been a few weeks since we last spoke to each other, she has removed all memories from social media ect, and there has been no contact at all, I was thinking of doing a honeyjar spell to try and bring her back to me, I have her hair I have tied mine around hers then knotted hers over mine, I have a statement off last years valentines cards wrote by her saying she will love me forever and other nice things, I also have the part of the envelope she licked to seal the card, my question is do I put these items inside the partition paper with the herbs and oils??

thank you for your advice in advance

Thank you Sister Jean! I've never done a honey jar spell before, but hope that it may help. Your advice that's it's ok to include the whole family I reached out to in the same jar reassures me. I hope I can share a great outcome. Much appreciated!

Hello, spydacular,

You don't have to put al of those things inside the petition paper. I would just put the tied hair in it.

Everything else can just be placed in the honey jar

I hope things work out for you

Take care

Sister Jean...

I am going to order the five finger grass for this. Can I add the dried leaves to the honey jar itself? If so, would I wrap it in the petition paper? Also, any other herbs that can also be beneficial for this endeavor? Thank you!

Thank you Miss Aida, I placed it all in the paper last night kind of figured it would be alright as long as it was all in there, I do have another question though, would it be alright to open the jar to add more herbs later??

Thank you for your reply in advance

Hello, Lee-lime ,

Either way is fine. but, if you're adding it to just the petition paper, it could be a very small amount. So, you may want to do it both ways

Wishing you the best

Hello, spydacular ,

Yes, you can do that.

But it not good to keep opening a honey jar unless you have more personal concerns to add.

Also, remember that it is not advisable to open negative jars (such as break-up, etc.).

Wishing you the best

Hi, I have a question again, I have made my honeybee, placed all items in the jar, on for my second candle and realised when I made the partition paper I got my ex girlfriends date of birth wrong, how bad is this mistake and will I have to fish everything out of the jar, I only have one of her hairs, and start over again???

Hello spydacular,

I think you could pull out the wrong petition paper with the hair in it, write a new petition paper, put the hair back in that paper, fold it up and place it back in the honey jar. Hope that helps.

I have been working on a honey jar for my ex since the middle of January. We ended on very bad terms in November. I said things that I had bottled up inside, and him being an uber sensitive cancer, ended things and completely stopped talking to me. Well, we are finally on talking terms, which I thought would never happen, but it's not like it was before. It has definitely been slow moving, and I'm okay with that, as long as it eventually progresses. My question is, is that all that the honey jar does is make him sweet to me, or does it make him sweet on me, as in want to be with me? Now that we are talking, is the work done, or should I still work the honey jar? I also have a doll baby, candles lit at the church, and did the graveyard dirt spell. Any suggestions on what I can do while waiting for my spell kits to arrive? Am I being impatient?
Thank you!

Hello gozlynn8,

You can change the candles and oils you use on top of the jar to progress toward love if that's what you want to do. Now that you guys are talking, start burning pink candles on top dressed with Love Me and Reconciliation oil to help get those loving feelings back:

http://www.luckymojo.com/loveme.html
http://www.luckymojo.com/reconciliation.html

Or you could make a new honey jar for love after you ritually dispose of the old one if you think that's more appropriate. Don't stop doing your work until you get the results you want, or at least get confirmation that you need to move on.

Good luck to you.

Thank you! A reader told me not to burn red because he's too sensitive right now, so I have been burning pink and blue. I started burning red last week, and we kissed. I just wasn't sure if it was the honey jar or other love work. He's nice to me, but I can feel it's not the same. I'll get a reading to find out what's going on. Thank you!

Also, I've been using love me oil and come to me. T
I've also used healing oil, I don't know why I didn't think of reconciliation, especially since I've had that candle lit for me at MICS. Thanks again!

Hello everyone!

I posted on another thread of a vinegar jar that I have going on for some break up work as well as some breaking up figure candles that I'm using to back to the work along with all the other work I have going on by another rootworker. So today I'm going to start on a honey jar for my situation when I get the rest of my ingredients together so far I'm think of putting in:
My petition which I'm going to put Return to Me and Reconciliation Oil on it after I write it.
Love herbs(rose petals, violet, lavender, catnip, Queen Elizabeth root)
Mine and his hair tired together
A piece of his underwear tied to my underwear

I'm thinking of adding a small picture of us together into it or should I have it on the bottom of the jar while it is burning or everything is fine the way it is? Also, I was thinking after a week of doing everything straight and then start working on things on certain days, I will try to talk to him again since we haven't talked in over 2 months now. Would that be a good enough time to start talking to him or should I start this week to get things going?
Thanks!

Hello hibarihime,

I moved your question over to this thread because it's not about the actual Lucky Mojo Reconciliation Honey Jar Kit, which is what the thread you originally posted under is dedicated to.

I think the plan for your Reconciliation honey jar sounds good, I'd just say it might be a good idea to add Balm of Gilead buds to the herbs you fold into the petition paper, especially if there were any fighting between the two of you when you broke up:

http://herb-magic.com/balm-of-gilead.html

I think if the photo is small enough, you could easily add that to the jar. And if you haven't talked in a couple months, I think it's a good idea to pave the way with this honey jar, then attempt to make contact.

Good luck to you.

I just wanted to give an update and let people know the power and nature of hoodoo. I was told when all the crap went down, "You don't know what you don't know." I did a sweet jar on the social worker who filed a petition to take my child away and on the GAL. About a week or so later, he told me he was leaving the agency and wouldn't be working my case anymore. Yesterday, I received the discovery for the TPR (termination of parental rights) and in that packet was his letter to the court. He stated that I am intelligent and manipulative, that I need to be on meds, that I broke my mother's jaw, and that I lash out at people when they're not my ally, that I like to go to his supervisor with frivolous complaints and a slew of other crap filled lies. And here I was trying to sweeten him to persuade him to tell the judge to give me back my children. I never broke my mother's jaw. She will have to prove that. I lashed out at him when he took my daughter away. Who wouldn't? (Well, probably a Zen master but I am not.) While I couldn't get him on my side, he is no longer even employed at the agency and since November, I've had 3 case managers working this case. It's like they get a new one every month. I think it just makes the agency look bad. This has strengthened my faith most definitely. There are times when you think you're spell isn't working. You really don't know what's going on behind the scenes. That guy lied on top of lied and now he doesn't work for the agency anymore. I remember texting him that time I lashed out and he was like, "Ok. I have to go back to work now." and I said, "I will make sure you have no job." Ha! Look what happened! But still. It helps to kinda like, know your target.
