How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
I was hoping someone might help me with recommending a vigil candle. I feel like my circumstances in life just get increasingly worse, no matter how much I try to make them better, as if I am dogged by bad luck. Things will get better for a little while and then some disaster seems to strike out of nowhere and I am back in a worse situation than I was before. I was debating between an Uncrossing vigil light or Van Van and wondered if anyone could advise me? Thank you.

IF you continue to have a streak of bad luck or crossed conditions, I would also suggest a series of spiritual baths to remove the jinx such as the 13 herb spiritual bath lucky mojo sells, taking the bath for 13 days. You would want to follow this up with a fiery wall of protection mojo, or spell kit to keep evil off of you.
13 herb bath: http://www.herbmagic.com/13-herb-spirit ... 1-day.html
Fiery wall o protection: http://www.luckymojo.com/fierywall.html
It is also advised that you cleanse your house to kill any crossed conditions: http://www.luckymojo.com/chinesewash.html
You can also get a reading by an AIRR reader to determine if and what is on you and how to remove it for good: http://www.readersandrootworkers.org/wi ... ootworkers
Candle wise I would use uncrossing to remove everything with a fiery wall of protection to keep it from coming back on you. Van Van is also great to open roads, turn bad luck into good.

Hi all,
I noticed there isn't a Mercury Candle thread.
I lit one yesterday (New Moon) to enhance communication with a friend who's been very remote since Mercury Retrograde, to the point of ignoring me.
Only today I noticed on the back label there's a hymn. I tend to pray with Psalm 23, as I'm Jewish and know it by heart. That's before stating my petition loudly and talking to my spirit guides.
Do I need to act differently with a Mercury Candle? Or as long as the intention is there I should go with what's comfortable for me?
Thank you and blessings for the weekend

Prayer is personal and comes from the heart. I would pray how fits you best and use the customs and traditions of hoodoo in that working. Prayer and petition over a candle would be the same if its a mercury candle or a candle addressing a condition.

Oh, he was enticed alright at the event we attended. I added in some bewitched oil on myself and took a bath with bewitched crystals before I went too. I am very pleased with these products!
I’m not seeing him for awhile, as he Iives a few hours away. Should I hit him with more Come to me or continue with Bewitched? I have a love me vigil candle and a follow me boy too. We’re not scheduled to attend any events together until the fall.

Hello Beachykeen,
Congratulations on getting some good movement!
I would continue using Bewitching, but you can add some Come to Me to the mix, since you're already getting some traction with him.
Good luck, you're off to a great start!

How should I dispose of 7 day candles? For example I am trying to dispose of a break up candle as well as a come to me, retirement, road opener, barrier breaker and domination candle glasses.

You clean the glass out and recycle them, I do believe Miss Athena already answered this question on the break up thread for you.

Hello JamieDean,
Please do not post the same question in multiple threads, as this is against forum rules. JayDee is correct, I already answered this same question for you.
Thank you for understanding.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
So, I had some big, beautiful dressed vigil candles I was saving for some work. I knew I would be called away for work, so I placed them in a cupboard.
We had a power outage while I was away from home. My grandmother went rummaging through the cupboards looking for candles. She found my vigil lights and lit them - Crown of Success, Road Opener, and Guardian Angel.
She meant no harm, and even remarked on how pretty they were and how they made the house smell/feel nice.
They only burned down a little bit, and I am wondering if I can still pray over them and then use them for my vigil starting this weekend. I know candles aren't supposed to be repurposed, but these have the same spell-purpose they were always intended for, they just also served a practical purpose of bringing light.
Any thoughts?

Hello with_red_shoes_on,
Welcome to the Lucky Mojo forum! We're happy to have you here.
If this were me and I wanted to interpret the wax remains, I would start new candles. You can always burn the ones you have to send that energy out into the universe on your behalf, but I feel they have been interfered with and I wouldn't trust the final burn to fully work for me.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hi, sorry if this has been asked before. Pardon me if it has been addressed. I'm still rather new to this. So I've had some candles lit for me at the church, it's the Influence Vigil Candle. I would just like to clarify, will the person I got it lit for only be influenced to change their mind/make a decision/see things a certain way while the candle is lit and then they will not be influence that way anymore once the candle is finished? I'm just concern whether this influence is temporary and do I have to keep lighting candles to make that person see things a certain way? Is it the case where the person will go back to their old thinking/way of seeing before the candle was lit once the candle finishes burning?
I really hope to get some help here. Thank you!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Literary Grasp,
The candle will burn on the person and effect them while it burns. The candle will burn and leave signs that are read by a professional to determine the outcome of the burn, this may indicate: obstacles, resistance, success, etc. The candle is a spell, when the spell is done you would watch for movement than manifestation. How many candles will need to be burned is case specific, one person may only need one candle, a stubborn person may need several. The best way to answer that is to get a reading by an AIRR member.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hi JayDee
Would this mean that person I lit the candle for will only be influenced while the candle is lit and if successful, the person won't be influence anymore and possibly change he/her mind once the candle stops burning? From your reply I gather that the effects are only working while the candle is burning and doesn't work anymore after it finishes? Does this mean I have to continue lighting the candle forever for the person to be influenced in the manner that I want him/her to?
I'm a little confused

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
You are looking for a specific "yes", or "no" response and unfortunately I think it is more complicated than that to answer. I would say it definitely is effecting them when it burns, but will it hold the effect on him? That is where I say it depends. For some It would take the effect right away and never need to light another again, others, they can be stubborn and fight you influencing them, and it will take more candles. Burning candles is what we call candle magic, which gives signs to how the work is going based on how they burn. Miss Cat has a book on that which is filled with great information. Now if my target is stubborn, is he addicted to a drug or dependent then I would expect to use many candles to influence them. The best thing to do is set the candles and believe in them, get a reading from an AIRR member to determine how many candles should be burned to effectively change their mind.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello Literary Grasp,
When we burn candles with the goal of influencing a person's thoughts, feelings or behaviors, we are sending out spiritual energy to help affect that change. That energy persists after the candle has finished burning. How effective it is in manifesting that goal is dependent on a number of factors, including the skill of the practitioner in preparing the spell, the ability of the target to be influenced, whether the work is justified and whether spirit deems it an appropriate action to take, among other things.
All of those contributing factors remain relevant after the candle completes its burn. Reading the candle results can help you know if you have been successful in sending out that energy, whether there is resistance to it and whether you should repeat the spell. It varies case by case, so there is no general rule or consistent expectation.
However, as a principle, the short answer is that the influence of your spell is not limited to the time the candle is burning. This is not a Hollywood movie where you can manipulate a person's behavior for a period of time and then poof! they are back to their old ways in an instant. They key is to do your work thoughtfully, responsibly and with faith and then allow it time to manifest. You always have the option to repeat it as needed, if divination shows obstacles or resistance.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Can someone help me? I've bought candles before and confirmations were sent quickly to let me know they will be prepared and lit. But since last week, a few of my orders have not been confirmed even after I sent photos. What should I do because no one seems to be replying me and I don't wish to have my orders missed.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
This guy is someone I met at the gym 4 years ago. We don't have labels yet, but I want him to be my boyfriend of course.
I been working the spell on him since August 2018, & he was contacting me after the work but it took til May 2019, for him to just ask to meet up for an hour, it took a while for that but I kept being patient and working it.
I used a return to me candle a few times, come to me several times, follow me boy several times as well, and just recently the Adam and Eve candle, but I have not seen any results yet.
Does that seem like a normal time frame to see results?
And if I keep working it, should I maybe see a possible relationship out of it all?

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
I was doing a banishing spell BANISHING two people . I the candle and the name "Eel kanno taf" I anointed the candle and the instruction says. I used Use a black candle, with a picture of the person placed underneath, also a piece of parchment with the person's name on it. however my mistake I place the wrong candle with the wrong name and picture. I have not done anything I am afraid to switch them to the right name. To help explain and clear it up I places person X in the spot for person Y and person Y in Person X spot. I screwed up.
What should I do? or what can I do I just turned the candles off.

If you did not light the candles and did not do the job, then you simply would switch the candles and be more careful. If you lit them, then toss everything and start over from scratch.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello martinezmarco296,
I have asked you in the past to not start random new topics on the forum like this. I have moved your post to the general thread on candle questions, and have issued a board warning. Please do a thorough search of the forum before posting, and make sure your question is in an appropriate topic.
You need to start your candles again if you have already lit them. Such a mistake may be a sign of spiritual interference or suggestive of your ability to perform the spell. In future, lay out your ingredients ahead of time, prepare your candles in advance and double-check your work before lighting them, so you can avoid having to re-do your work again.
Good luck.

Hey there: I wanted to let everyone know that I have posted a lesson on how to set lights (in general). Of course, it shows how I do it—my take, but the gist of basic candle setting is covered. Let me know what you think:

Hello peeps,
I just wanted some general advice on whether what I am doing is correct. I did a skull candle spell and had some good effect
perfect infact
The chap I’m working on is I think a slow mover so I figured a honey jar was a good spell to do, so I started this and I am currently burning another skull on it, I hope this is ok?
Also is there anything else I should do ?
Or just persistently keep working on what iv got,
As always I thank you for your expert advice and guidance!

sunnysun ,
Congratulations on your success and an excellent testimony to Lucky mojo and their products! Yes burning a skull on a honey jar is completely acceptable use of the jar. Personally if you are seeing great signs then I would keep doing exactly what you are doing and only add more if you find you need more work.

Hello All,
It's been a while since I've posted. I have been attracted to quite a few men (reminder: I'm a male myself). EVERY SINGLE MAN who I am attracted to turns me down. It's to the point where I feel completely unlovable. I NEVER cross paths with a man who I share a mutual physical attraction to. Every time I get close to someone, they let me know that I am not the one.
What vigil candle and petition make the best fit for me to cure the aforementioned?

Hello maduro01,
I know your past has led you to the mindset that you are unlovable, but you need to remove that kind of thinking. You are creating a sort of self-fulfilling prophesy and will only undermine your success. So please re-write that narrative.
For candles, I would start with Cast Off Evil, to help you rid yourself of such negative thinking. Then work with Bewitching (to give yourself an allure that draws attention) and Come to Me (to bring in someone right for you). I would state your petition towards drawing in your "ideal mate" or words to that effect. It will help you attract a man who is attracted to you as well as right for you.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello sunnysun,
You don't have to burn those candles on top of your jar, especially since they do not fit. You can burn them next to your candle or as a separate spell. You have choices here.
Deer's Tongue is used to encourage speech. There really is no herbal replacement for it. Cinnamon is a nice ingredient in love work, as it enhances luck and passion. However, it is not a substitute for Deer's Tongue.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hi. I’m hoping somebody can help me. I’ve been burning a black candle in the glass daily (I’m remotely hot footing the girl my ex has been recently seeing). I don’t have much privacy so I do whatever I can at night then snuff it out. There’s time I can do it during the day where nobody will see it. The wick was perfectly centered in the middle. Now after 3 days the wick is really close to the side and no longer in the middle. While I was trying to burn it yesterday I noticed the wick drowned itself in the wax since it isn’t placed right anymore. Should I remove some of the wax and reposition the wick so it can burn evenly again or what’s best to do in this situation?

Hello newwitch2018,
Yes, that's called doctoring a candle and it is a perfectly good thing to do to help your candle burn properly.
The only thing you would now not be able to do is use that candle for divination (reading the glass or wax remains, etc.), since you will have manually manipulated the candle. Still, it's important to complete the spell so I would do whatever doctoring is needed.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

My candle went great, but I had a dream that it went out? Does that mean anything?
Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
It won't let me edit, so also...it burnt out in 4 days instead of 7. That's good right!?

Hello, VofCups --
When a candle burns fast, it means that results my come fast. If it burns way too fast for normal, it means that results will be rapid but they will not last long.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello everyone, I am going to order the following 7-day glass encased candles for my business that I am starting soon:
Money Drawing
Fast Luck
Attraction (for attracting high paying clients, and organisations willing to give me referrals)
High John the Conqueror
Road Opener
7 African Powers
Lucky Prophet
Better Business
Steady Work
Martha Dominadora
1) Can you please give me advice on which herbs and oils to dress them with, so that I can order them too?
2) Can I burn more than one candle at the same time, since they are for the same purpose?
3) Would this increase the power and hasten the work, or should I burn them one after the other?
4) What (and how) should I write on a petition paper to put underneath each candle? Should it be my name, or a phrase, or a request, or a demand?
5) Should I only start the work on a waxing moon cycle or do moon phases not matter with this type of work?
Thank you!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Poppy,
1. These candles can come fixed with herbs and oils already. You just have to make sure you order them as such. Two candles, Better Business and Lucky Prophet, I haven't seen sold at Lucky Mojo. I could be wrong. You can select herbs for candles using this page: https://www.luckymojo.com/hoodooataglance.html It would take a very long time to go through them in this post so I suggest ordering the candles fixed and then maybe ordering herbs for use in other spell work.
2.You can burn more than one if you want.
3. One way isn't better than the other. If you would like to group the candles together like Money Drawing, Fast Luck and Steady Work that would be a good combo. Lighting the spiritual candles or Road Opener would be great to work on a Sunday morning.
4. This is going to very by your goals. It's going to be hard to craft a petition for each candle on here. They could be similar or very different for each candle depending on the condition they are made for. I would suggest ordering the book "Paper in My Shoe" to learn the basics on writing a petition. There are examples in the book that would be hard to explain.
5. Some work by the moon. If money is tight, then it would be better to follow another aspect like days of the week, morning or night, hands on the clock.
I hope this helps and good luck to you and your new business!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Thank you for your reply. That link is really helpful. I would like to dress the candles myself while saying what I want to manifest, as I'm led to believe this puts more of my power and intention into the work - would that be right?
One other question - once I light my vigil candles, is it ok to move them while they are burning? For example, I would like to have them on my altar when I'm at home and awake, and then put them inside my oven when I am out of the house and when I go to bed, for safety. Is it ok to move them back and forth between the two places?
Thank you!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Poppy,
I will warn you dressing glass encased vigil candles can be difficult. There is a technique and you have to really crush the herbs, some with a mortar and pestle. Just a pinch because too much will start a large fire. Same with the oils. You need a long thin ice pick tool to heat up, melt the wax and drop oils down the holes. Too much oil and it will drowned out the wick. You could also order one or two fixed and the rest unfixed just so you get the idea on how much herb/oil to add. I'm serious about the herbs making a large fire. It's not fun.
I have worked both self made and Lucky Mojo candles and both have brought results.
Yes, you can move them once lit. I recommend it to be safe while your away. The oven, bathtub or deep kitchen sink are all options.
Best of luck

Thank you for your great advice Terra, I will get a mix of your fixed and unfixed candles. I bought Cat's book on candle magic from your online shop but it doesn't say exactly how to get the oils and herbs right down into the candle so your advice is greatly appreciated
You are right that the list of oils and herbs is huge! As a beginner am I better to get the oils and herbs of the same names as the candles I'm ordering? Or is it better to get different ones to combine energies?
Thank you!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Poppy,
Glad I could help. For a new business I would keep the oils down to Money and Attraction. So Money Drawing, Money Stay With Me(to cut expenses), Attraction, and Look Me Over (for your products and/or pictures if online). Road Opener would be excellent right before a grand opening! As far as the herbs (Five Finger grass, John the Conqueror...) I would stick to the money drawing and success herbs/roots. Many are multi-function so it helps cut down on the amount you need. As issues pop up, and they will, then you may get more specialized herbs down the road. They don't have to be the same as the candles. I would base it off of need instead. Just my 2 cents.
I'm excited for you and hope to follow that path one day!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
I hope this is the right forum for this question. I have a 7 color glass encased candle. Can I use this candle if I am not doing any specified work but just simply wanting to keep the spiritual power around my altar and the good things in my life going? If not this type of candle, what candle would you buy? Should my candle be ok if I leave it in a bowl of water and no one comes inside my room to disturb it? Thanks!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
crossroadscat90,
I think that would be a lovely candle to burn on your altar to keep up spiritual power and good things going. Altar spaces are very personal, so it's really up to you to decide how you like to set things up. I don't personally keep a candle lit at all times on my own home/travel altar, instead I like to set out a little teeny bowl of Florida water and light a tea light (with a few drops of Lucky Mojo Blessing Oil) a few times a week. I'm afraid to leave glass encased candles lit in my home when I'm not there to watch over them - unless I move them to the bathtub or set up a big tray of sand -- but that's just me.

Hi crossroadscat90,
Just as a head's up--I don't think heidiroseholton meant to put the tea light *in* the bowl of Florida Water. Florida Water is alcohol-based and flammable, so I definitely would recommend keeping them separate. Thank you!

Greetings,
Would it be proper to reuse the glass of a 7 day vigil candle? What I mean is to pour fresh wax and wick into the used glass casings. Just thought it would be a good way to recycle the glass. Thanks in advance.

Hello Braucher,
Welcome to the Lucky Mojo forum!
We ask that you not start new topics as you did, as this is against forum rules and makes more work for the moderators. Please search the forum for a compatible topic for your query, as you will find we have nearly every subject already covered.
You can certainly re-use the glass from a 7 day vigil candle in that fashion. I would advise that you spiritually cleanse the glass in something like Florida Water and reuse it for a compatible spell (such as love, money or cursing) to the original candle's intent. That is what I would do.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

I am wondering what to do with the glass from my used 7 day vigil candles. Does it need to be ritually disposed of? Just wondering what other magic practitioner do.
Thanks,

Braucher,
If there is wax and other remains I usually remove it from the glass and dispose of it according to the condition I was working with...cross roads, burying, washing down a stream. I always wash and recycle the glass.

I have a question about candle runs. Does doing any particular candle spell three times make it more effective and powerful with the effects lasting longer. How long does the effects of a single candle last?

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello Casteel,
How many candles you burn for a spell can't be objectively advised.
You may want to burn one candle and see what divination of the wax remains tells you before deciding if additional candles are warranted. Sometimes situations are difficult or targets are stubborn, so added candles would make sense.
Or, you may simply want to keep the spell energy on your situation for longer, thus you would burn more than one candle.
Adding more candles doesn't make your work more powerful per se, it simply extends the time you spend conducting your spell. The outcome of your work is more dependent on the quality of your skills, not the quantity of your spells.
The length of time it takes to see results can also not be predetermined. It depends on your skills, your target's receptivity, and Spirit's determination of whether your work is justified. There are far too many variables involved to enable a ready-made answer to your question.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

I want to burn a Crossing vigil on/for three people (it's for the same purpose/deed). Do I burn a separate candle for each, or do I burn one and place the petition concerning them under it?

DeborahHarris,
If it is for the same purpose and they are connected, you can do it under the same candle. If they are separate and not in the same group or family, then I would do a candle for each.
Hope this helps.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello, Im trying to see what will be the best candle to request. My fiance and I are engaged. We have been through a lot in this relationship. He use to talk about marriage all the time but now it has ceased. He doesn't know that I know about the women from his past. Its always a pattern with these same 4 women. I can see the spirits that are attached to him when I look in his eyes. Hes allowed things that were not true about me told to him to change how he treats me. Hes there for me and my daughter. When I wasn't living with him it was Good Mornings, I love yous, Just because and so many small things that he doesn't do anymore. He does do a lot for me but I'm not the material person. I want all those sma things back. The mushiness , kisses, attraction. I need him to cut the communication off with all these 4 women. I have prayed and prayed. I just don't know what else to do. I have been with him for 12 years and I'm ready for the next step in marriage, our relationship to be closer and better

Hello Shoun1133,
Welcome to the Lucky Mojo forum. We're happy to have you here.
I have moved your post to the correct topic on vigil candle choices. Please do not start new topics as it is against forum rules and a search of the board will show that we have nearly every topic already covered.
Given your circumstances, I would suggest either a Fire of Love (for passion), Dixie Love (for romance) or Adam and Eve (for ideal love) candle. You can add a Break Up candle to drive a wedge between him and his outside love interest.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
