Hi everyone I just wanted to ask a question....I think I already know the answer but was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience. I live in the UK so finding stuff out here is a bit difficult......anyway my question is...I did a bit of work for myself in reguards to a break up with my ex....not long after the lights in my home started to flicker...not just in the front room but upstairs too.....I belive this confirmation that the one I asked is now on the job.....has anyone else had this? Or is it just me.

Blessing

Thank you, Miss Athena!

What a fantastic thread (and packed with great ideas!) I know what I'll be reading tonight. :D Thank you for the link.

They've had steady business, but have also had their share of folks desiring the "five finger discount" and the occasional "fun" customer (the type they'd prefer never return)... I raised an eyebrow when I saw the description of a spell to draw in good customers and repel bad. I assumed the direction to bury it at the front door meant it was to be deployed as a bottle spell, then again, I could be way off.

I've seen a ton of great ideas, some as simple as Fiery Wall of Protection oil anointing the doors and windows to (enter level of complexity here.) I'm starting simple, but won't shy away from jumping in when I have a clearer understanding.

They are truly wonderful people, a huge part of my life and appreciation for all things magical, and my best friends in all the world. I would do darned near anything to see them continue to be successful while chasing off the ne'er do wells. They also won't mind me using them as guinea pigs (lol) while I endeavor to integrate my love of herbs and plants with new methods of using them. I think it's going to be a lot of fun and learning for us all!

I haven't read the thread yet, but I have a feeling it will help tremendously. I'm so glad you pointed it out.

Hi amithyzt,

Glad that thread is helpful.

If your friends are having trouble with malignant customers, use Red Brick Dust across their entranceway. It will keep bad people from coming inside.
http://www.herbmagic.com/red-brick-dust.html

From the label on the packet, miss cat offers this advice:
Protection Scrub for Home or Business: On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, get up before dawn without speaking to anyone and wash your doorstep with your own Urine in a bucket of water. When it dries, sprinkle red brick dust across the doorstep. To make the wash stronger, write the Name of the Captain of Police on paper, burn the Name-Paper to ashes, and add the ashes to your scrub water.

Since your friends sound amenable to spellwork, offer them that suggestion and see if it helps them avoid bad customers.

Good luck.

Nice! And it's one I hadn't noticed before... I will definitely pass the word along.

In the thread you provided I read of Boldo leaf being used on a candle for much the same purpose and (conveniently) there's some on the way. Next order brick dust is a must! We'll have many options and more than I even imagined.

Sure appreciate your assistance, I'll definitely let you know how things progress. :)

Hi amithyzt,

It sounds like you have all the bases covered.

Boldo is a powerful agent against bad people, so that is a wise choice. You could make it into tea and use that either in a wash or for your friends to drink for personal protection. You have many options, and I am happy to see you take such an active interest in your friends' welfare.

Have you considered taking miss cat's course in rootwork? You seem to have a talent for it, so it's something you might want to consider. You would absolutely LOVE the course!

Please keep us posted. Good luck!

You've been a wealth of information, as well as this entire forum and my stack of books... A tea or wash never even crossed my mind, but I love it! Chinese wash is coming, and I think the Boldo leaf mixed with it will be great.

I've spent every spare moment reading thread after thread of the vast knowledge available here. It's exciting and overwhelming at the same time! I don't have any urgent or specific needs (heck, we could all use more money, more blessings, more opportunities, etc.) but I'm definitely hooked! It feels familiar and comfortable to me, and combines many aspects of what I already know and love with alternative practices I haven't heard of before. My herbs were mainly used in the kitchen (with a select few for cleansing and protection) but now I'm seeing them differently and it brings me so much joy I can't even express it! I want to toss herbs everywhere and on everything! Lol. I purchased some oils and saw immediate results with crown of success, I should probably post about it in the testimonials- def good for a laugh and an undeniable example of how quick, easy and effective it proved to be.

You haven't led me astray thus far, and I do believe I would love the course. I find anything Ms. Cat has written like a knock on the head with a 2x4 (in the best way possible!)... Such an insane amount of research and organization. Simply stunning. If the web pages serve as any indication, I wouldn't be disappointed.

I've already recommended my friends carry most of the books I've purchased from Lucky Mojo in their own store. The next logical step is to keep learning and help them to begin making this information and LM products available to a larger population with a need.

Thanks and I'll see you around the forum!

Hello,

Is there somewhere on here where I can find a list of the edible herbs LM sells? I read some descriptions on a few of the herbs while I was trying to shop/browse through them but I don't see details that say whether they can or can't be ingested.

I'm planning on making red velvet cupcakes for my target. My ultimate goal is for us to reconcile and date once again. I have a honey jar in place for that currently. The cupcakes I can't decide if I'd like something to nudge that goal along or something more along the lines of passion/lust...

My concern with leaning towards making them all lusty and stuff is that I'll be with him for three days, since I doubt they will take immediate affect, I worry when they do begin to affect him he'll just decide to go elsewhere to "relieve" himself since we live in different cities.

Any suggestions? Tips? Thank you very much!

Your question is easy to answer: buy a copy of "This Amazing Book" -- it lists edible / drinkable herbs along with their medical effects.

You can order right here in the Forum by clicking on the blue Add To Cart button.

You also have an embedded premise that i do not support. You say, " I doubt they will take immediate affect." THAT, my dear, will be the undoing of your work. Place your intention, confidence, and skill in making them work the same day and don't undercut your own magic!

Cat,

Wow. I'm honored that you were the one to reply to me! Thank you for taking the time. I apologize for sounding so negative. I just didn't think it was possible for it to be effective right away. I will buy a copy of the book & I will pour my intention/desires into the cupcakes. Thank you!!

Hi,

Sorry I have a few quick question..

1. When I'm making cupcakes for my target is it possible to grind the herbs I'm going to use together the day before I make the actual batch of cupcakes and then just put them in when I make the batter the following day?

2. Would I state my intent for each herb just as I would if I was putting it directly into the batter?

3. Lastly, I'm thinking of putting either some oils or powders on the cupcake liners.. Which do you think would be best? I haven't worked with the powders before so I don't know if they are clumpy or finely ground out.

Thank you!

Hello, JAD82017

I will answer each question after the question

1. When I'm making cupcakes for my target is it possible to grind the herbs I'm going to use together the day before I make the actual batch of cupcakes and then just put them in when I make the batter the following day? -YES, of course!

2. Would I state my intent for each herb just as I would if I was putting it directly into the batter? -YES!

3. Lastly, I'm thinking of putting either some oils or powders on the cupcake liners.. Which do you think would be best? I haven't worked with the powders before so I don't know if they are clumpy or finely ground out. -I wouldn't do that. They will bake and burn

I just thought of something! Is this possible.....

Can I buy bottles of his favorite sweet tea brand... Pour them into a container along with some "love" herbs.. I wouldn't have it to where the herbs are floating around, they'd be in an infusion container like for when you create detox water.. Then after infusing them for like two days, pour the tea into a bottle and let him drink it...

I'm still going to do the cupcakes but I think I'm going to do the small bite sized cupcakes and maybe some cake pops as well since they are bite sized.. If I do the big cupcakes there's a chance he won't eat all of it since he isn't big on sweets but if I do bite sized he can munch on them throughout the day, especially since it's his favorite flavor... I even found small cupcake liners with witches hats on them!

I'm hoping it's that time of the month around the time i make the cupcakes since it'll blend well into the cupcakes I'm making..

Thank you :)

JAD82017,

That is a good idea as long as the love herbs that you choose are edible, non-toxic, and not too bitter.

I have both of the books mentioned here (Hoodoo Food! and This Amazing Book) and I have found them useful in creating a working list of edible love herbs.

Good afternoon!

I was reading through a couple forums and sub-forums and found something interesting about a sugar jar & love herbs being mixed together and then later being used in baking.. I have some kitchen herbs already like cinnamon, cloves, etc..

I was wondering something though.. Can I use a herb for two intentions if the herb itself has multiple purposes? Example: Can I put a pinch of lemon grass in stating it's intent is to "clear out old conditions" and then put a second pinch of it in with a sexual intent in mind?

My plan is to make a tiny sugar jar with the necessary herbs for my goal when the moon phases allow it, I'll have been working it at least two or three weeks by the time I add the mixture into my baking. Miss Aida had said previously that I could combined my herbs the night before baking so I assume it would also be acceptable to do it a couple weeks before hand. Once Mother Nature hits that time of the month I'll also add that to the mixture as well which should be a couple days before I use the mixture. Even better, the date I will be seeing my target and beginning our weekend trip is the same date (different month) we started dating but the number is still significant to an anniversary we had where he gave me a beautiful glass encased rose like the movie Beauty & Beast.. Which is what he used to call us.. so I'm hoping between my intent, the significance of the date & the reason we are traveling together (a wedding) it all works in my favor & I achieve my goal..

I'm going to buy the edible herbs I don't have from LM later today.. Things like Damian, Queen Elizabeth, Dittany of Crete (which I know is to be used in small doses) but I was just curious if I could use herbs for multiple intents.. I'm sorry for the long post.. I'm a writer so once I start, I have a hard time stopping.. Thank you for reading and for any advice or answers you can give me. Much appreciated!

I wasn't 100% certain where I should post this but since my intent is to bake with the herbs I thought it was best to put it here. I apologize if I was incorrect with that. I know it takes a lot of work and effort to run this page and I'm sure it's tiring to have to move post to the correct areas. Hopefully that's not the case with my post but if it is, I deeply apologize.

Hello JAD82017,

Cooking with the sugar in a sugar jar is a traditional way of working, as long as the herbs are safe to eat. I think it would be fine to put in pinches of the same herb and attribute a different magical goal to each pinch. Here is a list of edible herbs that you could use:

I recently used saffron in a spell, and it had me wondering why Lucky Mojo doesn't carry it. I searched the entire board index (including this thread), but I could only find FIVE mentions of it! On the entire board! To me, saffron is such a luxurious herb. It always conjures up images of indolent courtesans and inmeasurable wealth. I came to the forums hoping to see if there was any more information on this herb, but I found none.

Hi BeautifulWitch,

Saffron has a long tradition in European love spells. You could add it to your spells or cooking for love or sexuality.

Here is Lucky Mojo's wonderful page on cooking with magical herbs:

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Good evening!

I wasn't certain where to post this. I looked up poppy flower but only found one post by Miss Cat from 2009..So I figured "general herb" would be appropriate...

I was wondering how long it takes for poppy flower to give prophetic dreams.. The reason I ask this is because the night after I placed poppy flower under my pillow (last night) I dreamt of my target and I. He was trying to warm me up to him and reconcile. In the dream I went for a walk to clear my head and saw a hawk swooping down & grabbing a red snake... So I was trying to figure out if the dream of my ex and I reconciling was due to the poppy flowers (if they work that quickly) or if Saint Martha was trying to communicate with me since I've been working with her... Thank you!

Hello, JAD82017 ,

Sometimes Poppy FLower causes prophetic dreams immediately, other times it takes a few days

There's no way that we can tell you who or what prompted the dream

Wishing you the best

Hi again,

Silly question.. I was going through the list of things I want to put inside a sugar jar and then later I'll take a spoonful out of the sugar jar and place it inside the batter for the cupcakes I'm making my target.. Now, my question is and I think I already know the answer.. It seems fairly obvious but I'd like to just make sure I'm not incorrect on this..
If I'm using something like Cardamom, can I used the ground kind? I know the packet of seeds LM sells says that the seeds are used for passion, lust and love but since it's for a cupcake the seeds would be noticeable. Does grinding them after I've stated my intent have any affect on the ingredient? Like, would it not be AS strong since it's now ground up? I'm guessing the answer is no, it's still the same ingredient, with the same affect and same magical properties but I just want to be on the safe side and ask the experts.. Thank you :)

I'm not super well versed in Hoodoo yet, but I know (and love) my food magic. If you are grinding up an herb or spice for magical use, it is best to acquire it whole and grind it BY HAND with a mortar and pestle, chanting or praying while you grind. I always grind clockwise for drawing work and anti-clockwise for pushing/banishing work. This puts the "juice" of your intent and desire into the herb and gets it going.

In those rare cases where I use a spice whole, I take the whole seeds or bay leaf or what have you and hold them between my (clean) palms and breathe my desires into them chanting and praying. I try to keep up an attitude of how I feel when my dreams manifest while I cook too. If I'm doing lusty work, I listen to dirty audiobooks. If I'm doing money work, I dress in my fancy "rich" clothes and use a bedazzled apron. :D

Hope you get the real Hoodoo answer soon, but that's my 10c!

Thank you for your 10c! Very helpful :) I have the mortar and pestle so I'll go ahead and buy the seeds whole and grind them myself. Thank you for your time! I do have another question for you though... Once you've put all your ingredients into the mix is there a psalms you say or state your final desire? Thank you so much!

Hi all,

I recently ordered a copy of Miss cat's herb & root book. In the meantime, I'm starting to look around at local sources for plants or seeds of some the herbs used in hoodoo. Since I live in Australia, which is basically a big quarantine station.
Has anyone had any success growing some of the more 'specialized' herbs like High John, Masterwort, Low John, Five finger grass, etc? Is there any traditional Hoodoo-specific lore pertaining to gardening?

Hello Kmcgarr77,

I think that's a great idea to grow some of the herbs yourself. Remember that even the most unassuming herbs can be powerful in the right hands. You can do a lot with, say, chamomile, mint, thyme and some of the "common" herbs.

There is a lot of talk about gardening on this thread, which you might find helpful:

http://forum.luckymojo.com/herbs-and-ro ... t4569.html

You could also type the word "gardening" in the search field in the green area in the top right corner of your screen.

Take care.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Magical Herbs, Roots, Seeds, Flowers Questions and Answers

Unread post by Mztyk Kreation » Fri Dec 15, 2017 7:19 am

I have studied herbology in the past and have always been fascinated by herbs. After reading the Hoodoo Herb book from miss cat and working with some LM herbs and products I really would like to try growing a few in pots so that I can get to know the plant energies better. Is there maybe 3 that anyone could recommend I start with that will do well in pots and in zone 10a? (I already have the basic ones I use to cook with like basil and rosemary, etc..)

Thanks!

Zone 10a means you can grow all kinds of plants, in pots or in the ground. Only the small culinary herbs and spiny cactus plants will work in small pots, but with larger pots you could have red or dark pink roses for love, poppies for confusion. A bonsai nursery may give you even more ideas! -- a miniature barberry to keep off intruders, a miniature cedar to rent out rooms, a miniature pine for money luck.

We have a free flyer on "Wildcrafting Around the Old Homestead" that you can request by name next time you order; it lists the many Zone 9 hoodoo herbs that we grow here. If you want it without ordering, just send us a self-addressed stamped envelope and 25 cents and we will mail it to you.

Hello, Mztyk Kreation,

I am soooooo happy that Miss cat answered this questions because I know NOHTING about gardening! WHEW!

Also, if you take Miss Cat's course, you would have to turn in some dried herb. So, it would look so awesome that you even grew it yourself!

And here is an classic older book on herbs that Lucky Mojo has reprinted:

Good afternoon!

I am planning on making some tiny 'snowglobes' with hidden herbs in the bottom cap area where I can also slide in a hidden petition. I wanted to know if I could use my LM angelica root (which is too big for the base in it's full size) and crush it then use the crushed pieces or if that would destroy the power of the herb. Sounds silly but I want to check. I'm hoping to make one for a person I'd like to have control over, one for personal power and another for luck at the moment. It'll be spring water mixed with LM bath salts for the water and perhaps a laminated picture of the person that I'm looking to have control over with their personal concerns and 5 spotted with whiskey (I'm nearly out of controlling oil I need to get some more in the mail) in the lamination with the photo on both sides like a packet. I'm going to add the last of my control oil (after I do one more thing unrelated) and put it in with the bath salt water and shake it all up when I need the container spell to work for me.

If anyone has suggestions or can give me insight about the angelica root I would GREATLY appreciate it. THANK YOU!

Shutter --

You may snip, crush, or grind the Angelia root. Many people refer a whole root fr carrying, but there is always a place for chips, pieces, and powder.

Currently reading Hoodoo Herb book and would like to understand more about red flannel. Is the use similar to a honey jar and that all ingredients are contained in the flannel, or is it a tradition? I am more than willing to get out my needle and thread! I appreciate all insight.

Endoftherainbow -

The book references red flannel a lot when it talks of making a mojo bag. It is a contained spell that your able to carry. I believe the answers your looking for can be found here - http://www.luckymojo.com/mojo.html or here mojo-bag-conjure-hand-toby-gri-gri-ques ... t9261.html

Mojo bags can be made in many colors, though quite often they are red.

Hope this helps!

Hello Endoftherainbow,

RevJames is right is saying that modern mojo bags come in many colors, but red flannel is the most traditional color and material for mojo bags in hoodoo. You can make any type of mojo bag out of red flannel.

Take care.

Good evening,

I will be making a birthday cheese cake for my friend in a few weeks (3) and would like to prepare ahead of time. What ingredients would you suggest that have a mild taste but give romantic feelings? Thank you.

You need the book "Hoodoo Food!" -- there are many great recipes in there for cakes and cookies -- and "Love Muffins" that will blow your mind!

In a traditional cheesecake, you have very limited ingredients -- not really enough to "hide" something in. If you make a cheese cake with a strawberry or raspberry topping, then you can work with the topping. Both strawberry and raspberry are already female-identified love herbs -- and red, to boot. Adding menstrual blood to a red jam-style sauce ought to do the trick.

Hi... yesterday I was doing a little candlework for strength and protection related to my psycho ex taking me to court... again.
I decided to burn some herbs too... for court case work, including Low John, Master Root, Angelica, Five Finger grass, Mugwort, bay leaf, a pinch of Hyssop and a little Coltfoot. I’m a little over zealous with ingredients, I know. I’m new to all of this. So anyway, I had read that Mugwort and Coltsfoot were good for enhancing insight and that some people smoke or drink Mugwort for this. So, it was a windy day... which created a lot of smoke off my charcoals in the little incense cauldron thing I have, and I did purposely breath a little and stood in the smoke.
About 30 min after that, I just didn’t feel right. My gait was unsteady, I got a headache, my vision reminded me a bit of my drinking day (although yrs sober) and I just felt like I looked high. My headache responds slightly to OTC medicine but I still have it today and still feel weird.
I just attributed it all to my lack of sleep the night before last, and all my stress and depression from my ex suing me and tormenting me.
I also had nausea yesterday, but I never got sick and it subsided. Luckily, no depressed respiration, threads heartbeat, dilated pupils, etc... so, if the Angelica was Hemlock, it was thankfully a sub-fatal amount.

Does anyone know how you may differentiate the dried root of Angelica vs Hemlock?

And for the record... the Angelica was purchased locally in Louisville, KY... NOT from Lucky Mojo!

Thanks!

Hello LA3700,

Have you gone to the doctor yet? If not, please do so ASAP. I have no way of knowing whether what you burned was something unintended and what it was. Please seek medical attention!

Hi Sister Jean,
No, I did not go, because it did not occur to me that it could be something like that, until I began researching.
I know the plant differences, prior to being dried but was thinking maybe someone had seen both roots dried and could give me something to look for- such as some differentiating characteristic.

According to my research, the root of the Hemlock is the highest concentration of poisonous alkaloids and these can remain active on the plant or root up to 3 years after harvest. The onset of symptoms, post exposure, is usually within 30min to an hour. If a child picks a flower from the Hemlock, that alone could expose them to a lethal dose!!
Death is caused by asphyxiation due to paralysis of the lung muscles, but the alkaloids are processed and excreted (I guess... or dissapate) within 3 days.
Also, one source said heat destroys the alkaloids but another source said do not burn, because it could release poisonous gas... luckily, if I was exposed to that- it was not a great enough amount to cause serious harm.
By the time I had read about all of this, it had already been 24 hours. So, any traces of alkaloids would have been lessening at that point. I felt crappy for 2 days, but the 2nd wasnt as bad as the 1st day.
And I am quite used to being over stressed and sleep deprived, so feeling a little “off” isn't far-fetched for me.... this was different though, in hindsight.

When I was googling to try and find info, i came across a European Occult shop that actually sold the seeds of this plant to grow for magical purposes. She said there was an old saying like “whosoever keeps a piece of this root in their house, shall not be touched by evil”, or something....

She said that poisonous plants evolved into poisonous plants in order to protect themselves, therefore it is suppose to be one of the strongest protective roots there is. Nonetheless, i dont want to touch it!!

Could you perhaps describe to me what true Angelica root looks like? Any particular type of scent? Is it totally brown?
Thank you for your response and concern!!

Hello LA3700,

I'm sorry but I am not familiar enough with hemlock to teach you all about it, especially since it's not a root that's used in hoodoo. You can read more about angelica at the link below, and then do your own research via herb websites to learn more:

Hi,
Could one mix different herbs and powders beforehand? I was thinking of mixing herbs and powders for specific spells in small containers so that I may easily and quickly arrange and set a candle spell when possible (it's not easy when there's always people around). For ex: Blessing mix herbs + healing powder and blessing powder etc for healing and blessing spells. Money mix herbs + money drawing powders, crown of success powders, fast luck powders etc for money and success spells. Is it ok to mix herbs and powders prehand like that in small containers? Thanks

Yes, it is okay to mix herbs before use. In fact, a good part of our business is in making such pre-made herb blends for workers. The blends are more economical than buying multiple herbs when you actually only need a smaller amount of the blend. These are all of our pre-mixed herbs (and yes, you can also add powders to them if you wish):

No plans to carry Sweet Gum Balls. Sorry.

-----

BeautifulWitch,--

We use Saffron in our spell work and in some of the oils we make but we do not sell it in the shop because it is very expensive and that makes it too labour-intensive to count out a proper amount to sell.

-----

Moonlightdream --

The question of whether an herb "can" be "used in hoodoo" is a blind alley.

Is St John's Wort used in hoodoo?

Nope, apparently not. Historically speaking there are no references to St John's Wort in hoodoo. This does not mean that nobody has ever used it, but if they did, they did not teach its use orally nor was its use recorded in text.

Can St John's Wort be used in hoodoo?

You might "borrow" its usage from some other culture's usage, i suppose. But, why?

For what would St John's Wort be used in hoodoo?

I have no idea, since i have never heard of it being used in hoodoo.

By the way, i grow St. John's Wort in my garden ... it's a pretty plant and very hardy.

What is the best way to store the herbs? I have the Love Herbs mixture and currently waiting for some more herbs to arrive in the mail from LM. Are they safe to leave in the original plastic packaging (away from sunlight and heat) or should I get small jars to store them?

taciturnxlove --

Air-tight glass in a closed cupboard is best storage method in my opinion.

For small-quantity herbs i wash out and re-use pleasantly-shaped food containers, but overall, i prefer pint-sized canning jars. I cut the printed labels off the plastic packages and use clear packing tape to "laminate" them to the jars. They fit quite well on the pint jars.

We have a free hand-out sheet on how to preserve herbs that you can request from the shop any time you order. It goes into great detail and will help you a lot.

We also have two other free herb hand-outs -- one on magical herb teas, and one on wildcrafting your own herbs. Just ask for them when you order. Eventually they will be incorporated into our next compilation bookm but for now they are loose sheets for our customers.

Hello,

I have a bunch of money drawing herbs roots etc and the Money Drawing Herb Blend from LM that I have bought to make a money drawing oil lamp soon. Since I have so much of the root chips/herbs/seeds/Irish moss etc I was thinking to take a small portion of each ingredient and including a small portion from the Money Drawing Blend and putting it in the food processor to blend it all down so I could use this portion to top off money drawing candles I would make. Is blending them in a blender or food processor sacrilegious?

Thank you!!

HidingInSight --

Mortar and pestle, coffee mill, electric coffee grinder, electric food grinder -- all are just fine. Since hoodoo is not a religion per se, there is nothing in it that is considered "sacrilegious" (a violation or profanation of anything held to be sacred or the stealing of anything consecrated to the service of God) -- except insofar as it violates the rules of your own religion.

Thanks, Catherine. I figured using the word "sacrilegious" was the wrong way to put it. But it is good to get confirmation.

Thanks!! :)

Hello all. So new to this. I have made a weak-ish tea using hyssop. My question is this: before performing a spell of some gravity, does one brush the tea UPWARD to cover oneself in protection, or DOWNWARD for some other reason. And after the spell has been set and it's humming along (hopefully), does one brush up or down with the tea and why (for the correct direction.)
There is always room for everyone at the top. HRCC Graduate #2151

queenofspain,

Hyssop is not for protection; it is for cleansing off sin. See Psalms 51, "Purge me with Hyssop, though my sins be scarlet, I shall be whiter than snow." You may also drink Hyssop.

Hyssop is different than Rue, which protects from evil, or Agrimony, which turns back evil.

I am unsure what you mean by "a spell of some gravity," as that could be anything from a healing for someone with a serious illness or a need to keep someone from jail to a revenge spell or even a death spell. So I will just speak plainly. If you were performing a spell of harm, you would not bathe with Hyssop before the spell work, only after, to remove your sin.

You bathe upward to draw in influences and downward to remove conditions. Much more about bathing can be found in Aura Laforest's handy book "Hoodoo Spiritual Baths."
