If you have a situation where you cannot burn candles continually you can put them out (do not blow them out) when not working the candle.

Is this okay, since glass gets hot on the fixed candles; my main order of operations when I work the satchet powders, as my candle work lately has been small until recently I've decided I like the vibe of fixed candles to accentuate the work- but my altar is awkwardly next to my bed crammed in the corner of my small room, where I can say two quick prayers on my knees before the "shrine" which is a corner of the dresser against the wall. So obviously on my knees, on the bed, isn't comfortable for reciting 7 or 9 psalms over candles, so I have this little "footstool" I set up on the floor, and use smaller colored votives on a metal plate on here along with what I've been actually doing mostly for work is dumping satchet powders on an ankh shaped mirror I keep as my main ritual fetish, for putting magical effects on myself (also since an ankh is kind of shaped like a stick figure of a person) , and than put the ankh and other personal affects on the dresser to be imbued next to the fixed candles.

In this case lately it was the Saint Dymphna candle and the last two days of the small brown votive candle I got for Saint Francis to bless my rodents. in other words I do work on a small, temporal altar stool, and put the fetishes and effects next to the candles on the shrine along with offerings of beer or what have you to the spirits and God. Since the position of the shrine doesn't allow for normal footing or sitting, I kneel on my knees on the bed and keep it to 1 or 2 quick prayers over the shrine as an addendum to the work I just did on the smaller altar.

Honestly I've found the satchet powders really messy, and concerned about the talcom particles floating in the air and exposing my rats to the stuff, so I'm switching over to oils.

I'm not new to altars I just don't have much room to work with right now.

Just be careful you have nothing flammable next to the candles in such a tight space.

Our sachet powders are made with edible, food grade arrowroot powder, not talcum.

I understand workings are normally done in groupings of 3, 6, 7, 9 (I would say 4 is a vital number but thats cuz its in all my divination numbers) days but with the work I'm doing now, I'm a compulsive ritualist so as I'm going through two workings currently, I started them before getting the candles (going through two sets of two candles by now) by working with the psalms and some satchets on my ankh mirror, that puts the current length of these two workings between 15-25 days. One of them is purely offeratory, with no goal, the other is as stated before open ended / mostly a house blessing/road opener, by now I've lost count of how many days, as well as having repeats of the rituals 3 or even 4 times a day. I think fixed glass encased candles only burn 4 days sometimes. Saint Dymphna did.

I wouldn't expect going that far to be an offense to any hoodoo spirit but I'd like luckymojo input.

Everybody's needs, financial resources, and cultural belief system varies. What you think is "normally doe" may be unknown in another person's family. My advice is to take it easy and not bind yourself with strict rules.

Mikhail Strabo's book, "The Guiding Light to Power and Success" gives ways to burn candles as singles, in threes, in sevens, eights, and nines, and how to burn perpetual oil lamps. I edited a republication of this calssic book and taught a workshop on it, which available for streaming.

The more you learn, the more you will gain in wisdom and peace.

Hi everyone, I was hoping someone can help steer me in the right direction. I was looking at the fixed glass vigil candles, and was hoping to buy a few. I need it for my relationship. I’m just very, very, torn on what to choose. And what candle I should even start with.

I can’t do certain spell work because of the distance, like any of the domination ones, because I don’t have the option to be sexual with him right now to tie his nature.

My boyfriend and I are long distance, we haven’t seen each other in months. And his communication with me for this past month has been close to non existent. He’s stubborn. We are clashing heads.

He says he wants to marry me and have kids, but that requires one of us moving to a different country. But he is not communicating well and not taking any action.

We have been together for a long time. 5 years. His actions aren’t matching up with what he’s saying. I need things to change. Dealing with this is exhausting. I hate when someone is an avoidant lol.

So what should I do to get this all into motion?

• I want him to communicate with me.
• I want to see him.
• I want to kiss and make up.
• I want him to stop being so stubborn and close lipped.

I am really torn between:

• Come to Me,
• Return to Me,
• Reconciliation (hesitant with this one because I feel like I need more than this?)

1. The order of lighting candles can form a narrative (Chuparrosa "Be Honest," Love Me "Desire My Companionship," Return to Me ("Come Back") or any order that feels right to you.

2. You can light all three at once in a triangle, with personal concerns, a photo, a mojo hand ,or a talisman (or all of these items) in the center, to be brought to light by the power of the three lights.

It's your choice -- just like you have a choice on how to serve the courses in a meal.
