Master of the Woods Questions and Answers

Unread post by birdsong » Tue Dec 07, 2010 10:23 pm

Because I'm an herbalist and only recently did I start learning about hoodoo, I have a couple of nagging questions that I hope someone can help me clear up. :)

Is "Master of the Woods" herb also known as "woodruff"?

Thanks in advance!

Hi birdsong

These questions and many more are answered in Miss Cat's book Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic:
http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodooherbmagic.html

Botanical names are there, alternative names are there, conjure usages are there - it is a fantastic resource and you'll love it, if you're are new to Hoodoo but experienced as an herbalist.

For questions about the actual product details it is best to call the shop, since they do not watch this forum.

Hope this helps!

Master of the Woods

Unread post by luckfindme » Fri Dec 09, 2011 2:34 pm

Hi,

Does Master of the Woods have more of a bend to thy will effect or more of a personal mastery effect? Would it be redundant with calamus or complimentary to calamus to get someone to favor you/your cause?

I love Master of the Woods and I think it works well with calamus. As a matter of fact, I use Master of the Woods, Calamus, and Master Root pieces together in a Commanding hand for personal strength & a commanding presence.

I LOVE me some Master of the Woods! You can add it to any working where you want to have the "upper hand" in things. Adding herbs together that have the same kind of power tends to increase the power, not "cancel each other out". So several "power" and commanding herbs together (like what Lee mentioned above) would work with each other to increase the power aspect of your magic.

Since master of the woods is a powerful compelling herb, would it be safe to say that it would be a great herb to use in employment obtaining work (resume) along with calamus?

Thanks Miss Aida.

I'm still a bit new to hoodoo, but I'm playing with some ideas.

I remember cat mentioning a trick in which a person attaches the names of people on to a master root in order to exert control over them. I have a master of the woods plant, and I wonder if a similar trick can be employed by attaching the names of people onto the master of the woods plant.

Just a thought...
