I ask the part about the vigil candles because the writing is very ambiguous.
"Let the money stay under the candles until it's time to go to play, then take it out -- and Good Luck to you"
The preparation work would be done the night before, so in one possible interpretation, it would imply that the vigil candles, with the prepared money under them, will only be lit until you are getting ready to play, then it gets snuffed out, and the money is taken to the casino to play. The candle would be saved for the next time when I want to do the spell again. I know burning vigil candles in sections is a proper magick practice for working in secret.
The other possible interpretation, is just like you said, let the vigil candles burn out naturally after 5-7 days. Which means putting on heat protective oven gloves (glass would be very hot from the flame, learned from experience, lol), lift the candle and takes the money and then go to the casino to play.
At my current understanding, it can go both ways for interpretations.
I guess for the bath crystals in candles, I just have to go with it, Miss Robin already tried it, or she wouldn't suggest it doing that way.

Re: Help with Ms Robin's Lucky Gambling Spell
Understandable. Once I was snuffing a vigil candle every day and I got a very clear message that I needed to leave the candle burning so I listened. But of course you are correct in that candles are also burned in sections in hoodoo so it could be either way.
She does list her email on her AIRR page so you could email her for clarification. http://www.readersandrootworkers.org/in ... =Ms._Robin
Yes, do be careful not to burn yourself! When I need to move a vigil candle I place the back of my hand near the part of the candle I want to touch first... if the flame is near the top or bottom of the glass it might be cool enough to touch, but otherwise I agree on a potholder.

Re: Help with Ms Robin's Lucky Gambling Spell
I had thought of another way to do this, it will be a mixture of my previous two interpretations. Which is snuff out the candles for taking the money out, after the glass cooled off, and the money is out. I re-light the candle and leave the candle burning during the actual trip to the casino, and when I return from the trip, I snuff out the candle again and save the candle for the next time.
But I will email Miss Robin and see what she says.
