I'm a magician exploring something new

Hello all,

My name is Mike, I have been practicing hermetic magick for a few years. I have loved theurgy and done some works of conjuring spirits and angels. Recently, I have gone through a serious spiritual crisis and I came to realize that I really did not have an honest spiritual relationship with myself. Now, I find myself wanting to explore other paths and methods. I have been having a very tough time lately and it seems to be permeating all parts of my life even my source of income. It is very difficult to admit that I need help, but I need to admit it so that I can start making changes. I am hoping that I can learn a lot here and also share my experiences with others.

Hi All,

I'm new here so please be gentle...

I have been practicing yoga and hermetic magick for several years, but recently I have found myself in a spiritual crisis. To make a long story short in the past three years I have been betrayed by three different people that I had turned to as gurus. The first, wanted to isolate me from my friends and then with the few friends I had left he worked to destroy my character before them, so I parted ways. The second was a cousin who asked me to move across the country with him, I spent every last penny I had saved to get out of debt and move only to get there after him and he did not secure a place on the lease for me so I had to move back and put myself back into debt. The Last and Worst, wormed his way into my life as a guru (this man is a VERY powerful magician) treated me as a son and then lied to me about what he really was (a black brother of the Left Hand Path) who was trying to get a deceiving spirit in the place of my Holy Guardian Angel (head spirit). I have managed to distance myself from these people physically and spiritually, but I have been put into crisis wondering if there was something going on with me to attract such people (they all turned on me when I discovered what they were up to). Any advice in this matter would be appreciated, I don't want to start conflict with past enemies just find my path again.

The most pressing matter is this: I have seen a direct link between my financial success and my spiritual growth. Not that I became rich, but rather I earned my fair share which fed me quite well. Now since this spiritual crisis has started my money and work is disappearing quickly. I consulted one of my spirits as to how to fix the problem and it gave me a method to reverse what is happening, but I want to know if there is more that I can do. I just bought the money draw spell kit, I'm hoping it will come quickly as I have used almost every last penny to order it. I need to know if there is anything else I can do.

Sorry for the long first post, I look forward to any advice.

You won't find any "gurus" here, Mike. I am just an old hoodoo lady and i teach folk magic to people who ask for my help. I assume that everyone's religion is their own choice, so even though i am a pastor in a small Spiritualist church, you won't hear too much preaching from me.

Sometimes experiences like the ones you describe are part of learning to stand on your own hind legs. Three mistakes in attaching yourself to leader/exploiters is enough, though. Like they say, "bad luck runs in threes," so let's hope that you are past that phase and ready to walk toward a friendly community of fellow spiritual practitioners who are working to help themselves and those they care for.
