Mineral baths and herb baths are the same; direction is determined by intent. To increase or draw something toward you, upward. To decrease or get rid of something, downward.

I've read on this forum that if you want to catch a criminal, you should write his name on a paper and put it in a pot full of water and some salt and boil until all the water evaporates...so i tried it on this guy who kept stabbing people and being able to outsmart the law and not get caught. The cops had been searching for him for a really long time and then he went and messed with one of my friend's threatening her life and he even tried to break into her house..i was worried for her safety (and of course everyone else's too!) so i decided to try this and a week later he got caught the SAME way i was imagining him to! I just want to share this and tell others to give it a try because it worked!

yes, if you don't know the stealer or his name, just write down what they stole from you
Re: Blessed Salt, Kosher Salt, Table Salt, Rock Salt, Ice Cream Salt, Solar Salt Questions and Answers
I am the manager of a store and I and the owners have had an employee that we know has been stealing but we have no hard solid proof. We are not even sure how much stuff is walking out the door and while we have called the police to come and do some asking around they have yet to call us back. I would really like to be able to catch her and confront her!!! Does anyone have any ideas what I can do?

There is a conjure in miss cat's Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic that says that if you put a paper packet of Gall of the Earth among the merchandise it will help protect the merchandise. I'd do a Fiery Wall spell kit too and to catch the criminal I'd put their name in salt and boiling water like the original poster did.

Hello Everyone,
I went back and Cat's post. This morning as it was just getting light I went and I made a name paper. I wrote the name 9 times turned the paper and cross wise wrote Justice Be Served across the name. I filled a small pot and put a tablespoon of salt in. Let me tell you this is not a small time thing. This involves some very heavy people and the Inspector General.
When the water came to a boil I put the paper in. After the water evaporated the paper was only half dissolved. I plan on getting rid of it at the crossroads tonight.
Amazingly enough 6 hours later I received contact from the Inspector General that they are going to proceed with the investigation into the criminal activity of the individual on my name paper.
Thanks for the help!

The Salt in boiling water is a great trick for catching thieves. It will put heat on them and get them to give themselves away. Usually if you have more than one suspect the first to call you is the one that is guilty since they are being compelled to call you by the trick.
I have adapted this spell to compel people to spill the beans and confess. It works and I swear by it.

I have a few more in this case so for the next couple of days I will be doing this exact same thing. I had compiled all the evidence but ran into a block that seemed impossible to budge. So this was excellent!

Re: Blessed Salt, Kosher Salt, Table Salt, Rock Salt, Ice Cream Salt, Solar Salt Questions and Answers
Hello everyone,
Each and everyone of us has fears, doubts, and insecurities, sometimes those fears get in the way of living a happy, bright, and prosperous life. If not controlled or let go of, our fears can sabotage us in all areas of our lives including spell craft.
A technique I learned, is Grinding Salt For Removal of Fears
Grab a large cup and a grinding stick, or mortar and pestle. You will need the following:
salt,
your favorite cleansing or power alcohol-waters (ex. Florida Water, Hoyt's Cologne, Kananga Water),
your favorite cleansing oils (ex. Van Van Oil, Uncrossing Oil)
your favorite personal power oils (ex. Crucible of Courage, Power, John the Conqueror, Fear Not to Walk Over Evil),
your favorite cleansing and courage herbs (ex. Rue, Yarrow, Agrimony, Sage),
and if you want you can also include liquor such as Rum or Whiskey (up to you).
Yes, there is room for experimentation here!
Grind it all together in the large cup.
Anyhow, the secret to making this a successful fear removal spell is to visualize or say out loud, what your fears are (some soul searching will be required since our fears are very insideous, with feelings like "I'll never make money, I"ll never find love, I'll never be happy, blah, blah, blah.") and energetically put them into the cup as you're grinding away.
Understand this may take a while, it may be emotional, you may find yourself sitting there for an hour or more, just grinding away, your fears, doubts, insecurities into this this cup of sea salt with your ingrediants added. Actually, I highly recommend that you take your time with this.
When you feel like you're done grinding, or have worn yourself out. Head to your bath tub, if you don't have a bath tub then you'll have to use a large bucket, and start getting ready for a nice hot bath. Pour your cup into the hot bath, wash the stick, so that you get all ingredients into the water.
Now when you are in the bath, you must make sure that you're entire body gets rubbed down, you must dunk your head in, and make sure to get the ears, the nose, the toes, the genitals, the buttocks, everything, so the fear has no place to hide. Keep grounding out that energy, every last bit of it, push, push, push. Once you're done, in my spell, it's okay to let all the water run down, and to take a nice and hot regular shower, so that you feel cleansed and clear.
Now would be the time to anoint yourself with some confidence oils.
Do a mini tarot reading, and check to see how many times this cleanisng needs to be done, and it's okay to do it once a week.
You will be feeling more and more relaxed and your fears will have A LOT less of a hold over you until they are gone for good.

ConjureMan suggested a Fiery Wall of Protection spell kit. Is that the kind of protection you'd use to catch a thief with salt in boiling water?

Re: Blessed Salt, Kosher Salt, Table Salt, Rock Salt, Ice Cream Salt, Solar Salt Questions and Answers
Now that I re-read my question I see that the phrasing is confusing. What I meant to ask was... are there other forms of protection one might use that are less intense than a full-on FWP spell kit when you're using salt in boiling water to catch a petty thief... especially if it's someone who could be an acquaintance or even someone related to you? Maybe I'm confusing protection with cleansing practices after doing a work like this?
By way of explanation, I work with young people in an area where there was a recent theft of some electronic equipment. It's not a huge deal, but it's significant enough that I don't want folks to think that someone can waltz in, rip off a $300 piece of equipment and face no consequences. In my view, sometimes just outing someone as a perpetrator among their peers, and barring them from using the space is enough of a consequence.
Thanks, from the noob.

The only reason FWP was recommended was because this person was facing a burglar.
Now if you are trying to find who is a thief you don't need to have a FWP going and while it is good to regularly keep cleansed I don't see this specific spell as needing a cleansing of sins quite like break up or hotfoot work.
If you'd like to protect yourself while you are trying to discover a thief you can make a packet out of Fern which can help ward off thiefs and burglars.

Re: Blessed Salt, Kosher Salt, Table Salt, Rock Salt, Ice Cream Salt, Solar Salt Questions and Answers
So, I only recently found out when I started attending a Catholic Church that does things "the old fashioned way" (read: all in Latin, women in mantillas, etc.) that it used to be commonplace to get salt blessed by the priest. Once blessed, the salt was sometimes consumed, other times sprinkled on property lines or thresholds to provide protection. The rite of blessing used by our priest, officially translated, is thus:
Sign of the Cross
V. Our help is in the name of the Lord.
R. Who has made heaven and earth.
V. Salt made by God, I purge you of evil,
by the living God, by the true God, by the holy God,
by God who ordered by the mouth of the prophet Eliseus
that you be mixed with water to heal the latter's sterility.
Become now the salt of exorcism for the salvation of the faithful,
that all tasting you may receive health of soul and body.
From wherever you are sprinkled
let there flee away all appearance of devilish deceit,
and wickedness and cunning.
Let every unclean spirit be commanded by Him
who is to come to judge the living and the dead
and the world by fire.
R. Amen.
V. Almighty and everlasting God,
we humbly beg of Your measureless mercy to bless this salt
that You have made and given mankind to use.
Sanctify it in Your loving kindness,
so that all who partake of it may receive health of both mind and body.
Grant that whatever is touched or sprinkled by it
may be preserved from uncleanness,
and from every assault of the wicked foe,
through our Lord Jesus Christ.
R. Amen.
I recently took a couple of canisters of sea salt up for my priest to bless, and I have to say, this stuff is AMAZING. Used in cleansing work, protective work, and the like, the results are exponentially powerful. I've also eaten some of it as well; I recommend seasoning something with a TINY pinch, not taking any straight! It's got very powerful vibrations.
Anyway, I went to Catholic school for six years and never once heard of blessed salt, so I thought I'd pass this along! If you are Catholic, have Catholic friends, etc. I would really suggest getting some salt blessed to use in your work. It's really amazing!

You could probably ask your priest to bless some for you, otherwise just use the prayer yourself.
I like how Catholic prayers actually speak to and invoke the object they are blessing -- salt, water, candles, ect... very similar idea to the 'life' inherent in all things (roots, herbs, ect) in conjure.

Re: Blessed Salt, Kosher Salt, Table Salt, Rock Salt, Ice Cream Salt, Solar Salt Questions and Answers
Hello!
I have been doing some research into salt and I am curious if anyone knows the difference in properties/usages with the different types of salt. Obviously I wouldn't include black salt in this comparison, but I am wondering about properties and usage of kosher salt compared to sea salt, rock salt or even epsom salts. I didn't see any of this info in the hoodoo herb and root magic or some of my other books.
If anyone has this info or could point me to it I would appreciate.

Hello, Marycrystal1,
Very hard question to answer!! LOL
Epsom salt is Magnesium Sulfate
Sea salt and table salt are Sodium Cloride
Kosher salt has been Blessed by a Rabbi.
The uses are here: www.luckymojo.com/salt.html
Here is the usage for Epsom salt: www.herb-magic.com/epsom-salt-white.html
Their uses are similar. But I personally prefer the Kosher salt for protection because it has been blessed by a Rabbi. And I prefer Epsom salt for bathing because it won't rip my skin apart
And, that's about all I know. Hopefully, another moderator can elaborate.
Take care

Thank you Miss Aida
I am an herbalist so this sort of stuff is interesting to me LOL. I have noticed in using salts that kosher salt I typically reach for in protection work and Epsom salt for bathing...I have been working with sea salt in a bowl of water during healing work and it seems to clear during the session better than kosher for some reason. I also have a tendency to use sea salt to sprinkle in the corner of rooms to sweep up and out and kosher when I have to do lines or designs for protection for some reason. I haven't worked with rock salt at all. Anyway, curious mind

Hello everyone,
I read in Miss Cat's book that you can throw ground black pepper and salt after a departing person to prevent him or her from returning, then sweep the mixture out after them.
Any prayers I should use while sweeping it out?
