Hello all
Hello all
So where to begin?
Well first I guess I am glad I found this website. Its certainly a wealth of knowledge that I intend to work my way through one page at a time. There is nothing more frustrating than wanting to look into something or being curious about something an not being able to find the information that you need.
My heart has constantly driven me to search, and at my completely young age (25), I of course feel like I have been searching and longing for something for ages and not yet fallen upon its doorstep. I have done research in many a new age religion, and a few different cultures of folk magic's only to find that my heart is still searching.
I first heard about Hoodoo, Conjure and Root work through a man who practices a form of Wicca/Paganism called the Faerie Seership; however, he also runs is own Conjure services.
I took a look into Santeria and into Voodoo/Voodou and hit blocks with the two; it seems you can not be privy to much of the information without first being initiated into these systems. Again that's part of why I was thrilled that Lucky Mojo exists. In a way I feel like my heart flutters with anticipation and joy. I'm so excited to be able to have access to this information. I actually found myself waking up way before my alarm this morning just so that I could hop on my laptop and begin reading again.
I look forward to many a conversation with the folks in this forum.

p.s. Seriously so excited, doing a little dance in my chair right now!

Hello and welcome Nicole!
I have to say when I hear Faerie Seership I think of Orion Foxwood, who is a wonderful man and beautiful spirit.
Do check out Hoodoo in Theory and Practice and when the time comes, if you haven't done so already, puck up a copy of Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic by Miss Catherine Yronwood. These two books will really start a nice foundation in learning about this living tradition. Looking forward to your posts on the forum! Blessings.

Thank you everyone for the kind welcome, and I certainly hope to be posting soon. I hadn't realize that their were so many aspects of other religious cultures and folk magics rolled up in such a beautiful little package as Hoodoo. My broad circle of study may have actually benefited me more than I realized.
