Saint Christopher Spiritual Supplies Questions and Answers

Unread post by lucky7clover » Thu Aug 27, 2009 5:11 am

I've been hearing lately that St Christopher was denounced from sainthood. I was wondering if anybody else heard this and I was wondering if this has effected any hoodoo work with him?

Well, Catholics have been arguing if their ever even was a Saint Christopher for a very long time. Either way so called "folk Saints" are widely petitioned and sought for aid and they are not official Saints, Saint Expedite comes to mind.

Yes, St. Christopher has been demoted -- not "denounced" -- from sainthood.

What exactly has been the issue with him? St Christopher is a saint that is strongly with me... and appears in my dreams frequently. He is such an old saint... widely used for travel. I doubt that people stop wearing his medallion due to his demotion.

I have always worn his medal since I was small. Also, I went to St Christophers church growing up, an Episcopal church, which is why it always annoyed me so that the Catholic church denounced him as a St. I was in the military and we traveled so much and my dad wasway so frequently that I spent a large portion of my childhood praying to him. I am sure the fine print in the Catholic church does not matter at all.

I am also very convinced that as more and more people pray to him over the years, it gives him more power. I also believe in the quantum manifestation. So he is growing stronger by the day. As one of the most popular Saints around, it was rather silly to denounce him.

I also find it rather ironic that the catholic supply stores all sell St Christopher medals, etc. They are willing to make money off of him, but not willing to officially recognize him. I actully have bought a St Christopher medal at the Vatican when visiting once. Tell me how that is not wrong.

Wow - I never thought of it that way, but you're right. They didn't remove his medals from off the shelves... because St Christopher is a favored saint, they would be losing money. Perhaps St Christopher will be brought back into Sainthood due to the miracles he performs on a daily basis.

The Roman Catholic Church does not own Mother Mary, the saints, or the angels. Anyone is free to ask for their help. Christopher means "Christ-bearer," so he represents all who carry Him within our hearts and souls.

Actually two years ago, I lost the baby before it was born, which was such a depressing point in my life. It was after my baby died that St Christopher kept appearing to me. The first time he came to me, I was just waking up and upon opening my eyes the only thing i could see was a picture of St Christopher, like it was being held in front of my eyes. So I always thought of it as him watching over my baby.

Thank you St. Christopher, St. Michael & Guardian Angel for always keeping my car safe from trespass, theft, vandalism and accidents, as well as always keeping me and my belongings safe when I travel. You protection and guidance is truly a blessing!

I discovered Saint Christopher when I was 14 and had to read a book in literature class at high school.
The book was "The Enigma of Master Joachim" (I'm translating from the tittle which was labeled in my language). The story of a teenager who is obsessed with a Renaissance panting where Saint Christopher appears. One of my favourite books ever. I was literally mesmerized by the story of him helping people to cross the river, until he had to help a little boy, who later manifested himself as Infant Jesus, carrying a heavy load on his back "the sins of the world". So beautiful.

Saint Christopher resonated strongly with me since then. I even bought a medal in France and I had no car then, I indeed had not the license, and was not interesed in having a car neither the license in that moment, and thought "this medal Will be in my car keys when I buy one". Years later, Saint Christopher's medal was in my car keys, but from the moment I bought the medal to the moment I bought my car, Saint Christopher was in my house's keys.

For a strange reason, I felt he was calling me. He resonates strongly with me.

I'm a Christian Catholic and I don't care that Catholic church denounced him from sainthood. I usually ask protection and petition to Saint Christopher and he always helps me, specially in car matters, but he also answers in other issues, and gives me strong signals. I've had three clear dreams with saints apparitions in my life: the first one was Virgin Mary, the second one was Saint Christopher and recently I dreamt of Saint Michael. When I dreamt of Saint Christopher there was water on a very beautiful turquoise color.

There are two dates to celebrate his feast day: 10th July or 25 th July (the same day as Saint James Apostle). I read that old tradition celebrates on 25th July, but I usually honour him on 10th July. He's considered one of the 14 Helper Saints.

Legend says his name was Reprobus, but he changed name when he converted to Christianism to Christopher, which means "Christ bearer". He's to me like a symbol of what we Christian people should be: Christ bearers, people who carry Jesus Christ in our hearts.

I would like to give him thanks publicly for all the help he has provided me through his intercession.
Thank you for everything my beloved Saint Christopher.
Thank you Saint Jude, glorious Apostle, miracle performer, because you took me back to Jesus.

Much of the Catholic faith has its roots in Ancient Egypt. Saint Christopher is the avatar for the Egyptian god Anubis.

Alice Kyteler,

I enjoyed reading your post, I learned a few things I did not know about him in your post! You can read more about St. Christopher and the variety of items Lucky Mojo sells, including St. Christopher oil, used to dress candles, charms, or other items you are using in your work with the Saint.
