Greetings from the home of United States Nuclear Command!
Yeah, I know, the title's a bit much, but it's true: Stratcom in Bellevue, NE, is known as Stratcom Omaha and it really is United States Nuclear Command.
Hi, my name's Cathi. Apparently I'm the first witch the Bewleys have produced since the very early 14th Century...at least, that's what Spirit Mom (one of my self-appointed spirit guardians/guides) says. I can talk to ghosts (my favorite was my own Daddy, who "died" around 10:45 PM California time -- he died in Sacramento -- February 21, and immediately came to visit me!!! Me, who spent years hating my abilities, finally I get to use it for something really shiny: a 3 hour talk with my dad and no TV/liquor/pesty younger brat sister/impending dinner, et cetera, to interrupt!!! I am so blessed!!!
Anywho, I'm 39, was born/raised/still live in South Omaha, Nebraska. I also have a modified spell to pass along. You know the one where, if you want your husband not to stray, you bury a piece of his dirty (obviously not too too dirty) underwear? I did that, modified somewhat: worn one day underwear, check! Burial spot, nope (since I'm crashing on a couch right now) so where did I bury my lil package that also had one of his hairs and one of mine in the knot in the undies? I hid it in the couch I'm sleeping on and within three days, he was way more affectionate, couldn't keep his hands off me; strangely, it seemed to improve our relationship immensely and I honestly can't figure out exactly why. I know in general but the improvement in our daily relations? Hello, what left field did that come out of?!
I was raised Catholic (Irish Catholic!) But I answer to Druid now after (get this, all ye who know why this is ironic) nineteen years of letting the Earth and University of Life, along with my appointed-by-themselves spirit guides/guardians (Michael would lay down his life for me and he doesn't let disturbed spirits near me, thankfully -- and I mean "disturbed" as in how humans who still have bodies are described as "disturbed").
I don't believe in death because I can have conversations with my dad, my Teacher (who "died" in 2011), my brother (November 15, 2010), et cetera, and if they were really DEAD, then I wouldn't be able to.
I'm on this forum because I have NO ONE to discuss anything magickal/religious/et cetera, period. No one I trust in the City of Omaha, anyway, so I'd rather chat with people all over the world instead. Least they won't decide I'm Enemy because I made the mistake of living within 5 miles of them without a clue until they showed up en force one fine Sunday morning...which I still need to be in therapy for, thanks. Y'all are much, much safer and thank you for that!!!!
Happy to be joining the party!!!

I've actually been reading your pages for years (especially your online book) but I never did anything with the information because I hadn't accepted myself as I truly am yet; I was trying extremely hard to conform to the mundane idea of "normal", which has messed up my life quite a bit. I finally accepted me as I am about two years ago and have been much happier since.
Also, I'm extremely interested in Hoodoo because (IMHO and no offense intended or implied) Wiccan/NeoPagan magick seems to be taking something extremely simple and complicating it way too much. For some reason I cannot figure out for the life of me, Hoodoo makes much more logical sense, is way more direct, and also seems to accept the idea that just because the job you're doing is making someone do what you want them to doesn't mean it's an evil thing or that the Goddess or whatever deity you choose to serve will be angry with you. Also, truth be told, I've used a few of the things I've read about on your site and I've had much better (and, given my prior experience trying to do Wiccan-type spell-casting, amazing and impressive) results with those than I've ever had with Wiccan/NeoPagan-type jobs/spellwork.
I also wanna thank you so much for putting this out there. All of this: your store, your sites. Whenever I need a reference for something of this nature, I hit up your pages. It's one of my absolute favorite sites. You rock!
Thanks, one and all, for being so cool to me

So, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
