what do the symbols on threads mean
I feel stupid but I can't figure it out, the only one I understand is the lock, and the ministar that means I've posted in it. what do the heart and question mark mean?

Those symbols are put there by the original poster -- several different ones are offered just below the subject line. They are just little indicators of the thread's content. A question mark for someone seeking input, the flames for a "hot idea" or someone may be angry/venting, the heart for a positive testimonial or regarding love work...you get the gist, I'm sure! You can even add one to your reply to posts, if you're so inclined. The option doesn't show on the quick reply tab, so to add from there, type your post, click "Preview" and from there you can add the cool doo-dads. (That's the really technical name for them...
)
