Hi Everyone,

My name is Stephanie and I'm a 30 year old Web Designer/User Experience Consultant in Nashville, TN. When I'm not working (which seems to be all the time here lately, but I won't complain!), I spend a lot of time at home working on my altars, outdoors, doing karaoke, debating religion and politics over coffee, and catching as many concerts as I can.

I am the HPS (fancy title meaning I'm the one that's organized!) of an eclectic Pagan coven here in Nashville called Circle of the Hallowed Moon, and in my private spiritual practice I am following a path of Haitian Vodou. I have practiced Hoodoo legitimately for about 4 years now, although I actually employed it much earlier in life without even realizing it through family practices (I just didn't know why I did it at the time!). I am a practical person who hates the "dog and pony show" that a lot people practicing magic put on for the outside world, so my personal practices are down and dirty, it may not be shiny and pretty, but we'll get results nonetheless!

My family (a mixture of Scottish and Cherokee) moved to Tennessee from the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, where there are many who practice some form of folk magic. My great-grandmother was one of these people in life, but as a small child I never understood enough to know that she wasn't just crazy. It wasn't until I discovered and started practicing folk magic myself that I finally understood some of what she was doing.

Although I have been practicing Hoodoo for a while, I absolutely love to learn and absorb everything around me, so I do believe I would eventually like to enroll in the Correspondence Course. I'd love to see a more in-depth and traditional view of Hoodoo, and I look forward to getting to know everyone on the board better as well.
