I have yearned to be a part of lucky mojo for the past 6 years. I am not computer savy and for the life of me I cant comprehend the forum. But i guess i am starting in the right place now. I want to introduce myself.
I am 55 and just retiring from my life's work. I am a virgo so I have been married to that work all my working life. I have been working majic since I was 13 when found my mother's Book of Psalms and began to use it throughout my life.
Since my regroup "I wont call it retirement" I have been working as a herbal practitioner and operating a botanical shop. I have been trying to complete the requirement for the correspondence course for some time now.
d.i have attended the hoodoo heritage festival and hope to attend again in 2020.
I think the only thing left for me to do is post to the forum. I hope I'm on the right road.
Please guide me in the right direction.

Re: Getting Ready for the Course
Hello, Bewitched!
i am so glad to see you made it here! I know you titled your post "pulling my hair out" to signify that figuring out the Forum application was frustrating -- but you made it, so i gave it a more upbeat title. LOL!
The reason students have to join the forum is because all the of questions and answers about the lessons and the homework -- and even practical help in developing a professional career as a reader or rootworker, if folks want to -- actually take place in a private or "secret" part of the Lucky Mojo Forum called the "Student Group," which Lucky Mojo allows me to run using the company's Forum software.
This was your first post, and it had to be hand-approved, but if you make 2 more posts, you hit the number 3, and from then on, you can post away and your messages will go up on the board directly. When you sign up to be a student, nagasivaa, my husband, will set you up with permission to get into the private group, and then you will be all set.
Now, back to what you mentioned in your post -- it is significant to me that you mentioned the Psalms. I spent four hours last night researching some obscure and very rare material on the Psalms and their use in magic. There are quite a few books on the subject, but there is one that i have been looking for since the 1960s, and it is hard to find -- and it arrived yesterday. When i opened it up, i felt like a kid again, i was so excited. So i spent hours and hours reading it and researching the name of the author. I went to bed late, slept very well, woke up, and sat down with my laptop and my coffee and apple slices -- and there you were, talking about the Psalms and your mother. That was a sign to me that the trail i am following with the history of the Psalms in magic is a good idea. THANK YOU for being the bearer of that sign
As far as the Hoodoo Heritage Festivals go, i hate to disappoint you, but 2019 was my last year for hosting the event. In 2012, i announced that 2019 would be my last time as organizer, after 12 years of work. i hoped that someone else would take on the task, but no one has come through yet, so there will not be a Festival in Spring 2020... but people are talking about continuing the program somewhere or some time, and i have promised that if they do, i will go there and present a workshop and a new book, as i always do. In the meantime, i am still continuing my free in-person Apprenticeship program for graduates of the Correspondence Course, so when you finish the course, you can come and take that training.
It's wonderful to see you here. Check out the public Forum, look arund, have fun, and get your interview call scheduled, okay?

Wow thanks Ms Cat for your reply, you have no idea of my admiration of you. I have sat back and read everything that you have wrote that means the entire website, forum and everything else that I could find that you had penned. I am finally making the move to try and get as much knowledge about the practice of hoodoo that I can and there is no one I believe can give it to me as you can. I have listen to every podcast going back to 2004 and I believe I am ready for the course. I am scheduling my interview as soon as possible. Thank you
