Adam And Eve Root Questions and Answers

Unread post by catherineyronwode » Mon Aug 31, 2020 9:27 pm

Adam and Eve Root is a rare, endangered species of Orchid called Aplectrum hyemale or Putty Root. (It is called Putty root because even when dry, it is sort of flexible.) It is called Adam and Eve because last year's root grows entwined with this year's root, so it comes in a pair of greyish-tan roots, one full and round and the other shriveled, connected by root-threads. Adam and Eve is now an endangered species, and no one can dig up or sell the roots, even if they know what the plant is.

There is one company that distributes fake Adam and Eve Root all over America (Indio / Cultural Heritage is the name of the company), and i suspect that unless you grew the Orchid yourself, you are not using real Adam and Eve root but a kind of edible Asian grain seed related to Corn (white) and a Balm of Gilead (Poplar Tree) Bud (light brown) -- neither of which are even roots. If they scammed you, you will not be the first one they have cheated. They started this back in the early 1990s and there are still people unfamiliar with the real Adam and Eve Root who buy their junk.

To avoid being scammed, please get hold of my book "Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic," which will give you the real names of magical plants and tell you how to use them in traditional hoodoo spells.

Miss cat, thank you for adding that Adam and Eve Root info. A few years ago I myself ordered an "Adam and Eve" Root from an online supplier. one "pair" came in a baggie with a label on it. I looked at it and immediately knew it was a Balm of Gilead Bud, but didn't know what the "Eve" one was. It came with the pointy Balm stuck inside the hole of the Eve. So thank you for answering that long-wondered yet unasked question for me.

AIRR Tech Team Report 1/4/2022 Adam and Eve!

Image

The AIRR Tech Team joined today to conjugate a new web page on Adam and Eve, the parents of humanity. Their story is widely known through Biblical and other sources, but its interpretation varies from a celebration of naked sexuality and fertility to a cautionary tale of sin and repentance. Miss Michaele wrote the page, Nagasiva Yronwode provided the Pamela Colman Smith illustration and created the graphic announcement, and Catherine Yronwode edited the text and supplied site-wide linking. Check out our paradisiacal page on Adam and Eve!

The Adam and Eve page is here:

http://readersandrootworkers.org/wiki/Adam_and_Eve

We shall now move to social media, to share the the Adam_and_Eve page at the AIRR page on Facebook, here:
