Your reply seems to suggest that
Banishing products themselves are more or less 'neutral', it depends on what it is used for. For example, Crossing is always 'dark', or harmful, even if it is justified. You always have to cleanse after using Crossing because it is 'dark' or harmful.
So, from your reply, it seems that if I used
Banishing Oil to remove a bad habit, then I would not need to cleanse after that spell. (Actually, Sister Jean seemed to suggest that
Banishing products can cleanse a person from negativity, she suggests using
Banishing bath crystals for a spiritual bath that sounds similar to a cleansing bath:

Banishing to remove a bad person, then I may or may not need to cleanse after that spell, this seems kind of vague. Whereas, if I used Hot Foot or Crossing to harm a bad person, then I would be required to cleanse after using either of those Hoodoo Oils.
I know that Hoodoo workers cleanse themselves regularly, but the harsh or hard-core (or 'dark') products require a cleansing after each use.
While "dark magic" might be more of a Wiccan concept, there is something called 'enemy work' in Hoodoo. Even if it is justified, it is still considered 'enemy work' and the person doing this work needs to cleanse themselves after this work. After doing such 'enemy work' a person has to recite psalms asking for forgiveness, even if the work is justified. (And
Banishing Oil is actually a Wiccan formula, not a Hoodoo formula.
Banishing was created for Hoodoo customers because there was a popular demand for it.
Banishing is not a traditional Hoodoo/Conjure formula, it is actually a traditional Wiccan formula.)
My concern isn't what
Banishing works for, but rather what 'category'
Banishing falls under. For example, I will have to use a different
Oil for this example because there is currently no detailed information for
Banishing Oil on the Lucky Mojo web site: according to Lucky Mojo, Commanding
Oil (a different

Banishing Oil) is:

I don't store all Oils together. I also don't store each
Oil in a separate box. I store similar Oils together. I usually store the Oils that are of a family of related formulas together. (Such as the example of Commanding
Oil and its family of related formulas.) Or, if not the actual family of related formulas, than at least stored according to similar uses.
Where would I store
Banishing Oil, in the box where I store the harsh Oils, like Crossing
Oil? Or would I store it in the box with something like Van Van
Oil, which is used for beneficent purposes? This is not the only reason that I am asking about
Banishing Oil but I do need information like this in order for me to organize the magical products that I have for storage.
From this thread, it seems like
Banishing has more in common with something like Van Van (and the other Oils used for more beneficent purposes), than having much in common with Crossing and other harmful formulas, but I could be wrong. Since
Banishing Oil is actually a traditional Wiccan formula, and not a traditional Hoodoo formula, it occurs to me that
Banishing is most likely closer to something that is more beneficent (like Van Van) since Wiccans don't usually engage in harsh, 'dark', 'enemy work'. But I could be wrong about that too.
