Hello, Newatthis --
1) You do not need to burn a Reversing Vigil light on a mirror. That spell work is much older and more traditional than vigil light work and relates to a free-standing double action candle, either 6" or 9" and not encased in glass. That spell is a real, old-time, hard-core spell. Vigil light work is not as physically interactive as work with free-standing candles.
In addition, the words "do you have to?" mean that you are probably working unaided and in the dark as to the theory and practice of this form of magic. I suggest that you read more about the THEORY of magic and less about "spells." Then you will understand that the question, "Do i have to?" is the surest way to render your own work ineffective and null and void.
2) You say that, "There are no places around where I live that recyles glass, so what should I do with the glass candle after I'm done with it?"

So i clicked for you!
1) Allied Waste Recycling Services
Allied Waste will pick up a variety of recycled goods including plastics, glass,

Please thoroughly rinse these containers prior to putting them into your recycling bins. Allied Waste will also recycle clear, brown, green, and blue glass.
All aluminum products can be recycled. Most everyday paper products can be recycled, but please make sure that these products are clean. , as can all tin and aluminum products. Recycling will be picked up every other week, following a West Bloomfield schedule. All materials can be thrown together into the same bin. 3) Nichols Disposal Recycling Services

I noted that #3, Nichols Disposal, does not list glass, so i phoned the number and spoke with a very nice man who informed me that
A) His service DOES recycle glass but --
B) The web page is out of date and Nichols Disposal no longer picks up in West Bloomfield. However, he said, "If you got a lot of glass, more than ordinary, you know, more than what fit in your own bin, you just take it out to Richfield Waste Services. But if it fits in your bin, in West Bloomfield, they do recycle it."
So now you know.
