Re: Human Bones and Teeth Questions and Answers

missdiamonique,

Maybe after a while we develop a gift for knowing when something is a coincidence and when there is a rational explanation and when there is not.

One time I ordered an Adam and Eve root and named them for myself and another man and was so careful with them and when the Adam root ...

Cat,

I was just looking at your complete inventory and noticed the book,
Conjure in African American Society by Jeffrey E. Anderson. Was or is
this man a student of yours?

(Yes,, Jeff has taken this course -- and he occasionally reads and responds to this Yahoo group as well. Also, we interviewed ...

Re: How to Use Zoological Animal Bones Shells Teeth Feathers Questions and Answers

That is what I meant...Cat's eye shells...I was thinking there might be tiny holes in them to make jewelry out of but I guess there are no holes...Maybe some crafty person out there could come up with light weight ankle bracelets that could be worn all the time and not have to be removed using ...

Re: How to Use Zoological Animal Bones Shells Teeth Feathers Questions and Answers

Cat,
Do those Cat's eye beads you sell have holes in them to make jewelry out of? I noticed that some places sell Cat's eye beads for jewelry but they are not real Cat's eyes. They just look like them and they call them that. Carla

(We do not sell Cat's Eye beads. They are Cat's Eye SHELLS. They ...

Re: Hoodoo Bibliography and Book Suggestions for African American Folk Magic

I have a question for anyone out there who might know the answer. It may have some connection to Hoodoo...I don't know... Most of us know about the medical benefits of Green Tea but does anyone know anything about the medical benefits of green coffee?...

Re: Hoodoo Bibliography and Book Suggestions for African American Folk Magic

I use Elderberry and Mint mixed together in a tea with honey. You can make it according to your taste but I usually put in a tablespoon of each and steep it for at least 20 minutes and it works for me like a cold medicine and if I take it at night, it puts me to sleep. I made an elderberry extract ...

Cat, I am wondering if you and anyone else on this e-list can direct me to some good books on a particular subject. I need a refresher course in a particular area of thought and work. Re: Hoodoo in Fiction Books Movies Film TV Television Shows Stage Plays

I just found cassette tapes of "Mules And Men" at the library
and listened to it. Sometimes it has a different effect to hear
stories being told audibly. It is an abridged version. I wish I
could find a version which is not abridged but anyway...while I was
listening to it, I could not help but ...

Cat and students,

I was just listening to
"The Doctrine of Signatures"
Hoodoo Rootwork Hour Radio
Show CD with Cat, Dr. Kioni and
students ad Dr. Kioni was talking
about how a lot of us are isolated
practitioners and he talked about
planning a Hoodoo convention.
Sounds like a great idea ...

Is there a way he or someone could put them all
on CDs for purchase. With the way my computer
works, I can't download them. Carla

Not to go on too long with this thread, but to give some idea of just
how unusual Alan Dundes was, both in the greatness of spirit and the
way in which people responded to him, I'd like to mention an event
which occurred about four or five years ago.

A student who was obviously impressed by his ...

Re: Too Many Spells, Spell Burn-Out, Spell Overload

The next day after doing spell work and even for longer

drained. I think part of it is that I need to feel less
guilt and more sure of myself when it comes to magic and
I am working on that. Even though I was not raised with
