The thorny little seed pods are just so distinctive, and what with the name "Devil's Apple", I figured, as u said, there might be some symbolic use...>shrugs<

Is there any tradition in Hoodoo of using Jimson Weed (Datura Stramonium, aka Thorn Apple, Devil's Apple, Jamestown Weed, etc.) for any purpose? It seems like there would be...it's an odd-looking plant, with some colorful folk names, that grows wild in the American South and is easily identifiable ...
